And king Ahasuerus, [a.k.a. Xerxes, placed] a tribute upon the land & upon the [coastal islands] of the sea. |
[Matthew 22:17-21 Therefore, tell us, What [do] you think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not? But Jesus [realized] their wickedness & said, Why [do] you tempt Me, you hypocrites? Aren't the declaration of [Mordecai's] greatness, [in which] the king advanced him & his [great] acts of power & might, written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Media & Persia? |
For Mordecai, the Jew, was next to king Ahasuerus, [a.k.a. Xerxes] & [sought] the wealth of his people & [was] great among the Jews & was accepted [by] the multitude of his brethren, speaking peace to all his [descendants.] |
