About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Matthew 26:1-75 The Betrayal of Jesus Christ

The Betrayal of Jesus Christ

Matthew 26:1-75    The Gospel According to Matthew [in Smaller Chunks]

And it [happened,] when Jesus had finished all these sayings, He said to His disciples, *You know that after 2 days is the feast of the Passover, & the Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified. [Matthew 27:3-5 *Then Judas, [who] had betrayed Him, when he saw that [Jesus] was condemned, [he regretted,] & brought again the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests & elders, saying, I have sinned, in that, I have betrayed the innocent blood.

And they said, What is that to us? You see to that. And [Judas threw] down the pieces of silver in the temple, & [left,] & went & [hung] himself.]

Then, the chief priests, scribes, & elders of the people, assembled together to the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas. And consulted [so] that they might take Jesus by [trickery,] & kill Him. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there [is] an uproar among the people.

Now, when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon, the leper, a woman came to Him, having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, [a.k.a. oil.] And poured it on His head, as He sat at [dinner.] But when His disciples saw it, they [were indignant,] saying, To what purpose is this wate?

For this ointment might have been sold for much, & given to the poor. [John 12:4-6 Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, [who would] betray [Jesus,] said, Why wasn't this ointment sold for 300 pence, & given to the poor? He [didn't] say this, [because] he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, & had the [money] bag, & bare, [a.k.a. carried,] what was put [in it.]

When Jesus understood it, He said to them, Why [do] you trouble the woman? For she has [performed] a good work upon Me. For you always have the poor with you; but you [won't] always have Me. *For, in that, she has poured this ointment on My body, she did it for My burial.

[Matthew 27:57-60 *When the [evening had] come, a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who was also, himself, Jesus' disciple. He went to Pilate, & begged [for] the body of Jesus. Then, Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

*And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, & laid it in his own new tomb, [that] he had [cut] out in the rock. And he rolled a [large] stone, [a.k.a. boulder,] to the door of the [tomb,] & departed.]

[Truly,] I say to you, [Wherever] this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, [what] this woman has done, shall also be told for a memorial of her there. Then, 1 of the 12, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests, & said to them, What will you give me, & I will deliver [Jesus] to you?

*And they [contracted]with him for 30 pieces of silver. [Zechariah 11:12 *And I said to them, If you think [it's] good, give me My price, & if not, [decline.] So, they weighed [out] for My price 30 pieces of silver.]

And from that time, [Judas] sought [an] opportunity to betray [Jesus.] Now, [on] the 1st day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, Where [do] You [want] that we prepare for you to eat the Passover?

And [Jesus] said, Go into the city to such a man, & say to him, The Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] says, My time is at hand, [a.k.a. near.] I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples. And the disciples did as Jeus had appointed them; & they made the Passover ready.

Now, when the [evening had] come, [Jesus] sat down with the 12. And as they [ate, Jesus] said, *[Truly,] I say to you, that one of you shall betray Me. [Luke 22:47-48 *And while [Jesus still spoke, saw,] a multitude, & he, [who] was called Judas, 1 of the 12, went [in front of] them, & drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to him, Judas, [do] you [betray] the Son of Man with a kiss?]

And they were [exceedingly] sorrowful, & everyone of them began to say to Him, Lord, is it I? And He answered & said, He, [who dips] his hand with Me in the dish, the same shall betray Me. [Psalm 41:9 *[Yes,] My Own familiar friend, whom I trusted, [who ate] of My bread, has lifted up his heel against Me.]

The Son of Man goes as it is written of Him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It had been [better] for that man if he had not been born. Then, Judas, [who] betrayed [Jesus,] answered & said, Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] is it I? [Jesus] said to him, You [have] said [it.]

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, & blessed it, & [broke] it, & gave it to the disciples, & said, Take, eat; this is My body. And He took the cup, & gave thanks, & gave it to them, saying, You, drink all of it.

For this is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I won't drink of this fruit of the vine, [from now on,] until I drink it new with you in My Father's Kingdom.

And when they had sung [a] hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives. Then, Jesus [said] to them, *All [of] you shall be offended, because of Me this night: for it is written, I will smite the Shepherd, & the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

[Zechariah 13:7 *Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, & against the Man, [Who] is My [companion,] says the Lord of Hosts. Smite the Shepherd, & the sheep shall be scattered. And I will turn My hand upon, [a.k.a. alongside,] the little ones.]

*But after I Am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. [Matthew 28:6-7 *He isn't here, for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, & tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead. And, [look,] He goes before you into Galilee. There you shall see Him. [Look,] I have told you.]

Peter answered & said to Him, Though all men shall be offended because of You, [still,] I will never be offended. Jesus said to him, *[Truly,] I say to you, That this night, before the cock [crows,] you shall deny Me [3 times.] Peter said to [Jesus,] Though I should die with You, [still] I will not deny you.

[Luke 22:60-62 *And Peter said, Man, I [don't] know what you say. And immediately, while he [still spoke,] the cock [crowed.] And the Lord turned, & looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the Word of the Lord, how He had said to him, Before the cock [crows,] you shall deny Me [three times.] And Peter went out, & wept bitterly.]

Likewise, all the disciples also said. Then, Jesus [came] with them to a place called Gethsemane, & said to the disciples, You, sit here, while I go & pray [over there.] And He took with Him: Peter & [Zebedee's] 2 sons, & began to be heavy & very sorrowful.

Then, [Jesus] said to them, My soul is [exceedingly] sorrowful, even unto death. You, [stay] here, & watch with Me. And [Jesus] went a little farther, & fell on His face, & prayed, saying, O My Father, if it [is] possible, let this cup pass from Me. Nevertheless, not as I [want,] but as You [want.]

And [Jesus came] to the disciples, & [found] them asleep, & said to Peter, What, couldn't you watch with Me 1 hour? Watch & pray, [so] that you [don't] enter into temptation. The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak.

[Jesus] went away again, the 2nd time, & prayed, saying, O My Father, if this cup may not pass away from Me, [unless] I drink it, Your will be done. And [Jesus] came & found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

And He left them, & went away again, & prayed the 3rd time, saying the same Words. Then, [Jesus came] to His disciples, & said to them, Sleep on now, & take your rest. [Look,] the hour is at hand, & the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let's be going. [Look,] he is at hand [who betrays] Me.

And while [Jesus still spoke, look,] Judas, 1 of the 12, came & a great multitude from the chief priests, & elders of the people with him, with swords & [clubs.] Now, he, [who] betrayed [Jesus,] gave them a sign, saying, [Whomever] I shall kiss, that same is He. Hold Him [securely.]

*And [immediately, Judas] came to Jesus, & said, Hail, master, [a.k.a. teacher,] & kissed Him. [Proverbs 27:6 *Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.]

And Jesus said to [Judas,] Friend, [what is the reason] you [have] come? *Then, they came, & laid hands on Jesus & took Him. [Psalm 55:12-13 *For it wasn't an enemy [who disgraced] Me. Then, I could have [put up with] it.

Neither was it he, [who] hated Me, & [magnified] himself against Me. Then, I would have [hidden] Myself from him. But it was you, a man, My equal, My [companion,] & My [colleague.]

And, [saw] one of [those, who] were with Jesus stretched out his hand, & drew his sword, & struck a servant of the high priest's, & [struck] off his ear. Then, Jesus said to him, Put up your sword again into [its] place. For all [those, who] take the sword shall perish with the sword.

[Don't] you think that I can] now pray to My Father, & He shall give Me more than 12 legions of Angels, [right now?]  *But then, how shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that [this] must be? [Isaiah 53:7-9 *He was oppressed, & He was afflicted, [still,] He [didn't] open His mouth.

He is brought [like] a lamb to the slaughter, & [like] a sheep before [its] shearers is [mute.] So, He, [didn't] open His mouth. *He was taken from prison, & from judgment. And who shall [describe] His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living.

For the [sins] of My people, He was [struck.] *And He made His grave with the wicked, & in His death, with the rich, because He had done no violence, & neither was any deceit in His mouth.]

In that same hour Jesus said to the multitudes, Are you [coming] out, [like] against a thief with swords, & [clubs] to take Me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, & you [didn't seize] Me. But all this was done, [so] that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.

*Then, all the disciples [abandoned] Him, & fled. [Isaiah 53:10-11 *[Still,] it pleased the Lord to bruise Him: & He [has] put Him to grief. When You make His Soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, & He shall prolong His days.

And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the [troubles] of His Soul, & shall be satisfied. By His knowledge, shall My Righteous Servant justify many. For He shall bear their [sins.]

And [those, who] had [seized] Jesus, led Him away to Caiaphas, the high priest, where the scribes & the elders were assembled. But Peter followed [Jesus, far away,] to the high priest's palace, & went in, & sat with the servants, to see the end.

Now the chief priest, elders, & all the council, sought false [witnesses] against Jesus, to put Him to death; but found none. *[Yes,] though many false witnesses came, [still] they found none. [Psalm 35:11 *False witnesses did rise up; & they laid to My charge, things that I [didn't] know.]

At last, 2 false witnesses came, & said, This Fellow said, I Am able to destroy the temple of God, & to build it in 3 days. *And the high priest arose, & said to [Jesus,] [Do] You [answer] nothing? [Psalm 38:14 *[Like this,] I was [like] a Man, [Who doesn't] hear, & in Whose mouth are no [responses.]

What is it [that] these [testify] against You? But Jesus held His peace. And the high priest answered & said to Him, I [urge] You by the Living God, that You tell us whether You [are] the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus said to him, You have said [so.]

Nevertheless, I say to you, [In the future,] you shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand [side] of power, & coming in the clouds of heaven. [Revelation 1:7-8 [Look,] He comes with clouds, & every eye shall see Him. And also [those who] pierced Him. And all [families] of the earth shall wail, because of Him.

Even so, Amen. I Am [the] Alpha & Omega, the First & the Last, the Beginning, & the Ending, says the Lord, [Who] is, & [Who] was, & [Who] is to come, the Almighty.]

Then, the high priest [tore] his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy, What further need have we of witnesses? [See,] now you have heard His blasphemy. What [do] you think? They answered & said, He is guilty of death.

*Then, they spit in [Jesus'] face, & buffeted, [a.k.a. hit multiple times.] *And others [struck Jesus] with the palms of their hands, saying, You, Christ, Prophesy to us, who he is, [who struck] You?

[Isaiah 50:5-6 *The Lord God [has] opened [My ears,] & I wasn't rebellious, & neither turned away back. *I gave My back to the [strikers,] & My cheeks to [those, who] plucked off the hair. I [didn't hide] My face from shame & spitting.]

Now, Peter sat [outside] in the palace. And a [maiden] came to him, saying, You also [were] with Jesus of Galilee. *But [Peter] denied [in front of] them all, saying, I [don't] know what you [say.]

And when [Peter had] gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, & said to [those, who] were there, This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth. *And again, [Peter] denied with an oath, I don't know the Man.

And after a while, [those, who] stood by came to him & said to Peter, Surely, you [are] also one of them; for your speech [betrays] you. *Then [Peter] began to curse & to swear, saying, I [don't] know the Man.

*And immediately the cock [crowed.] And Peter remembered the Word of Jesus, [Who] said to him, *Before the cock [crows,] you shall deny My [three times.] And [Peter] went out, & wept bitterly
