Job Tells the 3 Men What His Life Is Like |
Job 7:1-21 Book of Job [in Smaller Chunks] |
Isn't there an appointed time [for] men upon the earth? Aren't his days also like the days of a [hired worker?] [Psalm 119:84 How many are the days of Your servant? When will You [carry out] judgment on [those who] persecute me?] |
[Like] a servant [sincerely desires] the [shade,] & [a hired worker looks] for the reward, [a.k.a. wages,] of his work. So, I am made to possess months of [worthless] vanity, & [tiresome] nights are [arranged for] me. [Job 15:31 Let not him, [who] is deceived trust in vanity; for vanity shall be his [reward.] |
When I lie down, I say, When [will] the night be gone, & I shall arise? And I'm full of [tossing: back & forth until dawn.] My flesh is [covered] with worms, & [caked dirt.] My skin is [cracked,] & [becomes disgusting.] |
My days [go by] swifter than a weaver's shuttle, & are spent without hope. O remember that my life is [like the] wind. [My eyes] shall no [longer] see [what is] good. The [eyes of those who have] seen me, shall see me no [longer.] Your eyes are upon me, & I [no longer exist.] [Psalm 78:39 For [the Lord God] remembered that they were [only] flesh; a wind that [passes] away, & [doesn't come] again.] |
[Like] the cloud [breaks up,] & [vanishes] away; so [is] he [who goes] down to the grave, & shall no [longer return.] He shall no [longer] return to his house, neither shall [those from] his place [recognize] him anymore. Therefore, I won't [stop] my mouth, [from speaking.] I will speak [with] the anguish of my spirit. |
I will complain in the bitterness of my soul. Am I [the] sea, or a whale, that You [should] [sit,] & watch over me? When I say, My bed shall comfort me, & my couch shall ease my complaints, then You [scare] me with dreams, & terrify me through visions: So that, my soul [chooses:] strangling, & death, rather than my life. |
I [detest my life,] I won't live [always, so] let me alone; for my days are vanity. What is man, that You [should] magnify him? And that You [should] set Your heart upon him? And that You should visit, [a.k.a. punish,] him every morning, & [test] him every moment? |
How long will You not depart from me, nor [leave] me alone, until I swallow down my [drool?] I have sinned. O You, [Who saves] men, what shall I do [for] You? [Psalm 36:6 Your righteousness is like the [tall] mountains. Your judgments are deep [like the seas.] O Lord, You [save] man, & [animals.] |
Why [have] You [made] me [like a target, across] [from] You, so that I'm [even] a burden to myself? And why [don't] You [forgive] my transgression, & take away my [sin?] For now, I shall sleep in the [dirt,] & You [shall] seek me in the morning, but I shall [no longer exist.] |
