The Righteous Perish as the Israelites Take up Rituals to False gods

Isaiah 57:1-21                                The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks]

The righteous [perish,] & no man [takes] it to heart. And merciful men are taken away, & none [consider] that the righteous [are] taken away from the evil to come. [Revelation 3:10-11 Because you [have] kept the Word [of God,] [showing] My patience, I will also keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to [test those, who] dwell upon the earth. [Watch,] I come quickly. Hold [tight to what] you [have, so] that no man [takes] your crown.]

He shall enter into peace. Each one walking in his uprightness, shall rest in their beds. But draw near [here,] you sons of the sorceress, the seed, [a.k.a. offspring,] of the adulterer & the [unfaithful] [harlot.] [Exodus 34:14-16 For you [shall] worship no other god. For the Lord, Whose Name is Jealous, is a jealous God, lest you make a covenant, [a.k.a. contract,] with the inhabitants of the land, & they go [like] [an unfaithful harlot] after their gods, & sacrifice to their gods. And [someone] calls you, & you eat of his sacrifice. And you take [from] their daughters [for] your sons, & their daughters go [like an unfaithful] [harlot] after their gods, & make your sons go [like an unfaithful] [harlot] after their gods.]

Against whom do you [ridicule] yourselves? Against whom [do] you make [yourselves] a wide mouth, & [stick] out the tongue? Aren’t you the children of transgression, [offspring] of falsehood. Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, [killing] the children in the valleys, under the rocks of the [cliffs?]

[2 Kings 17:16-18 And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, & made [themselves molded] images, even 2 calves, made a grove, & worshiped all the host, [a.k.a. stars & constellations,] of heaven, & served Baal. And they caused their: sons & daughters to pass through the fire, & [they] used: divination, & enchantments, & sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. Therefore, the Lord was very angry with Israel, & removed them out of His sight. There [were] none left, [except] only the tribe of Judah.]

Your portion is among the smooth stones of the stream; they are your lot. You [have] poured out a drink offering, even to them, & you [have] offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?

[Habakkuk 2:18-19 What [benefit] [does] the maker [of] the [carved] image [have who carved] it, & [what benefit is] the [molded] image, & a teacher of lies, that [its] maker of his work [trusts in them,] to make [mute] idols?]

Upon a lofty & high mountain you [have put] your bed. You even went up [there] to offer [sacrifices.] [Isaiah 1:21 How [has] the faithful city become [a] harlot! It was full of judgment, [a.k.a. justice,] & righteousness lodged in it; but now: murderers.]

You [have put] up your remembrance behind the doors, & also the posts: for you have [uncovered] yourself to another than Me, & [have] gone up. You [have] enlarged your bed, & made [yourself] a covenant, [a.k.a. contract,] with them. You [love] their bed, where you [saw] it.

And you [went] to the king with ointment, & [increased] your perfumes, & [sent] your messengers far [away,] & [lowered your morals,] even to hell. You [are tired by] the [largeness] of your [road, & still,] you [didn’t say,] There is no hope. You [think you] [have] found [renewed] life [within] your hand; therefore you [weren’t] grieved.

[Psalm 115:4-9 Their idols are silver & gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they [don't] speak. They have eyes, but they [don't] see. They have ears, but they [don't] hear. They have noses, but they [don't] smell. They have hands, but they [don't touch.] They have feet, but they [can't] walk. Neither can they speak through their throat. [Those who] make them are [similar] to them, so is everyone who [trusts] in them. O Israel, you, trust in the Lord. He is their help & their shield.]

And of whom [have] you been afraid or feared, that you [have] lied, & [haven’t] remembered Me, nor [taken] it to heart? Haven’t I held My peace even [in ancient times,] & you [still] [don’t] fear, [a.k.a. respect,] Me? I will declare your righteousness, & your works, [a.k.a. deeds;] for they shall not [benefit] you.

When you [cry out,] let your companies deliver you. [Judges 10:11-14 And the Lord said to the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Israel, [Didn't I deliver you from the: Egyptians, Amorites, the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Ammon, & from the Philistines? Also: the Zidonians, [a.k.a. Sidonians,] Amalekites, & the Maonites, [who] [oppressed] you. And you cried [out] to Me, & I delivered you out of their hand. [Still,] you have [abandoned] Me, & served other gods. [For this reason,] I will no [longer] deliver you. Go, & cry [out] to the gods, [that] you have chosen. Let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.]

But the wind shall carry them all a way. Vanity shall take them, but he [who puts] his trust in Me shall possess the land, & shall inherit My holy mountain, & shall say, You [shovel] [it] up, & [toss] [it] up, & prepare the [road.] [Pull] up the stumbling block out of the [road] of My people.

For the High & Lofty One, [Who inhabits] eternity, Whose Name is Holy, [says this;] I dwell in the high & holy place, with him, [who] also [has] a [regretful] & humble spirit, to [restore] the spirit of the humble, & to [restore] the heart of the [regretful] ones.

[2 Peter 3:9-10 The Lord is not slack, [a.k.a. slow, about] His promise, [like] some men [consider] slackness; but is [patient toward] us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

*But the day of the Lord will come [like] a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with great noise, & the elements shall melt with fervent heat, & also the earth & the works, [a.k.a. things made,] that are [in there,] shall be burned up.]

For I won’t [dispute] forever, neither will I always be [angry.] For the spirit [would] fail before Me, & the souls [that] I have made. I was [angry,] & [struck] him, for the [sinfulness] of his [envy.] I hid [Myself,] & was [angry,] & he [stubbornly] went on, in the [path] of his heart.

[Isaiah 8:17-19 And I will wait upon the Lord, [Who hides] His face from the house of Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel,] & I will look for Him. *[Look,] the children whom the Lord [has] given me, & I, are for signs, & wonders in Israel, from the Lord of Hosts, [Who dwells] in Mount Zion. And when they shall say to you, Seek to [those, who] have familiar spirits, [a.k.a. talk to the dead;] & to wizards [who] peep & mutter, shouldn't a people seek to their God? For the Living [God,] & [not] to the dead?]

I have seen his ways, & will heal him. I will also lead him, & restore [comfort] to him, & to his mourners. [Isaiah 61:1-3 *The [Holy] Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me; because the Lord [has] anointed Me to preach good [news] to the meek, [a.k.a. humble.] He [has] sent Me to [bandage] up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty, [a.k.a. freedom,] to the captives, & the opening of the prison to [those, who] are bound. *To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, & the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all [who] mourn. *To [comfort those who] mourn in Zion, & to give to them: beauty, [instead of:] ashes, the oil of joy, [instead of:] mourning, & the garment of praise, [instead of: a heavy] spirit; [so] that they might be called trees of righteousness, the [Lord's] planting, [so] that He might be glorified.]

I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him, [who] is far [away,] & to him [who] is near, [says] the Lord; & I will heal him. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, whose waters [throw up mud] & dirt, when it can’t rest. There is no peace to the wicked, [says] my God.
