Mourning the Good Times of the Past |
Isaiah 32:1-20 The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks] |
[Look,] a king shall [rule with] righteousness & princes shall rule [with] judgment, [a.k.a. justice.] And a man shall be [like a] hiding place, [a.k.a. refuge,] from the wind & a [shelter] from the [mighty storms, like] rivers of water in a dry place & [like] the [shade] of a [large] rock, in a weary land. |
And the eyes of [those, who] see, shall not be dim. And the ears of [those, who] hear, shall [listen.] Also, the heart of the [impulsive,] shall understand knowledge. And the tongue of stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly. |
The [disgusting] person shall no [longer] be called [open minded,] nor the [miser be] said to be [generous.] For the [disgusting] will speak [what is evil] & his heart will work [sinfully,] to practice hypocrisy & to [totally lead astray] [others] against the Lord, to make the soul of the hungry, empty & He will cause the [water to] drink of the thirsty, to fail. |
The [schemes] of the [miser] are also evil. He [devises] wicked [plots] to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy [speak] [what is] right. But the [open minded devise nobel] things & by [generous] things, he shall stand. |
Rise up you women, [who] are at ease & hear My voice, you careless daughters. [Lend] your ear to My [Words I speak.] You shall be troubled many days & years, you careless women: for the vintage, [a.k.a. crop of grapes,] shall fail & the [harvest] gathering shall not [happen.] |
Tremble you women, [who] are at ease. Be troubled, you careless ones. Strip [yourselves] & make [yourselves] bare & [clothe] your [waist] with sackcloth. They shall mourn for [the days when they nursed in their mother's arms,] & for the pleasant fields & for the fruitful, [a.k.a. plentiful,] vine. |
Upon the land of My people, thorns & [sticker bushes] shall come up. [Yes,] upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city. [Isaiah 5:6-7 And I will lay it [to] waste. It shall not be pruned, nor [dug in,] but [sticker patches] & thorns shall come up there. |
I will also command the clouds, [so] that they [don't] rain upon it. For the vineyard of the Lord of Hosts, is the house of Israel & the men of Judah, [are] His pleasant plant. And He looked for [justice,] but [only] [saw] oppression & [looked] for righteousness, but [witnessed an outcry.] |
The multitude of the city shall be left, because the palaces shall be [abandoned.] The forts & towers shall be for dens forever, a joy of wild [donkeys] & a pasture of flocks, until the [Holy] Spirit [is] poured upon us from on high & the wilderness [becomes] a fruitful field & the fruitful field [is considered as] a forest. |
[Isaiah 44:2-4 The Lord, [Who] made you, & formed you from the womb, & [Who] will help you, [says this;] O Jacob, My servant, & you, Jesurun, [a.k.a. Israel,] whom I have chosen, [don't] fear, for I will pour water upon him, [who] is thirsty, & [pour out] floods upon the dry ground. I will pour [out] My [Holy] Spirit upon your seed, [a.k.a. descendants,] & My blessing upon your offspring. And they shall [sprout] up [like] among the grass, [like] willows by the water [ways.] |
Then, [justice] shall dwell in the wilderness & righteousness [shall] remain in the fruitful field. And the work, [a.k.a. deeds,] of [the] [righteous,] shall be [peaceful] & quietness & assurance forever [is the outcome] of righteousness. |
And when it shall hail, coming down [in] the forest & the city shall be in a low [valley,] My people shall dwell in [secure] dwellings & in [peaceful] resting places. |
[Isaiah 30:15-16 For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel [says this;] In returning, & [resting,] you shall be saved. Your strength shall be in quietness, & in confidence, & you would not. But you said, No; for we will flee upon horses. Therefore, you shall flee. And [said,] We will ride upon the swift. Therefore, [those, who] pursue you shall be swift.] |
Blessed are you, [who] sow [seeds] beside all waters & send [out] the feet of the ox & the [mule there.] [Isaiah 37:35-36 For I will defend this city to save it for [My] Own sake, & for [David,] My [servant's] sake. Then the Angel of the Lord went [out] & [struck] the camp of the Assyrians, & 185,000 [were killed.] And when [the Israelites] arose early in the morning, [saw the Assyrians] were all dead corpses.] |
