About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

1 Chronicles 16:1-43 David's First Psalm to the Lord God for All His Wondrous Works

David's First Psalm to the Lord God for All His Wondrous Works

1 Chronicles 16:1-43      1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

So they brought the Ark of God & [put] it in the midst of the tent David had pitched for it. They offered burnt sacrifices & peace offerings before [the Lord] God.

At the end of the [offerings & sacrifices,] David blessed the people in the Name of the Lord [God]. [David gave] to everyone of Israel, both [men & women] a loaf of bread, a good [sized] piece of [meat & a jug] of wine.

[David] appointed [some of the] Levites to minister before the Ark of the Lord & to [keep the records] & thank & praise the Lord God of Israel. Asaph, the chief [leader] & next to him, Zechariah, Jeiel [a.k.a. Jaaziel,] Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed Edom & Jeiel.

Jeiel [& these were to play the lyres &] harps. But Asaph was to sound the cymbals. Also, Benaiah & Jahziel, the priests [played] trumpets continually [in front of] the Ark of the Covenant of God.

On that day, David delivered this psalm [song] into the hand of Asaph & his [relatives] to thank the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord & call upon His [Holy] Name & make known [what God has done] among the people.

Sing to Him & sing psalms to Him & talk of all His wondrous works [miracles.] Glory in His Holy Name & let the [hearts of those] rejoice [who] seek the Lord. Seek the Lord & His strength. Seek His face continually.

Remember His marvelous [miracles] He has done & the judgments [He pronounced.] O you, [descendants] of Israel, His servant, His chosen ones. He is the Lord, our God. His judgments are in all the earth.

Always [remember] His Covenant [contract,] the Word [that] He commanded to 1,000 generations. Even the covenant [contract that] He made with Abraham & [the Lord God's] oath with Isaac.

[The Lord has established these] to Jacob for a law & to Israel for an everlasting covenant [contract] saying, To you, I will give the land of Canaan [as the portion you will inherit.]

When you were [just] a few [in number,] even a few with strangers in it. When [the Israelites wandered] from nation to nation, from 1 kingdom to another people,

[the Lord God didn't allow anyone to oppress or] to do wrong [against] them. God [warned] kings for their sakes, saying, [Don't] touch My anointed [or] harm My prophets.

Sing to the Lord all the earth & show His Salvation [to others everyday.] Declare [the Lord God's] glory among the heathen [nations who worship false gods] & His marvelous [miracles] among all nations.

For great is the Lord [God] & greatly to be praised. He is to be feared [respected] above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols [false gods,] but the Lord made the heavens.

Glory & honor are in His presence & strength & gladness are in His place. Give to the Lord you [families] of the people. Give to the Lord glory & strength. Give to the Lord, the glory due to His [Holy] Name.

Bring an offering & come before Him. Worship the Lord in the [splendor] of His Holiness. [Tremble] before [the Lord God,] all the earth. The world shall be stable & not moved.

Let the heavens be glad & the earth rejoice & let me say among the nations, The Lord [God rules.] Let the sea roar & [its] fulness. Let the fields rejoice & all that is [in them.]

Then, the trees of the [woods] shall sing out at the presence of the Lord, because He comes to judge the earth. O give thanks to the Lord; for He is good & His mercy [endures] forever.

You [shall] say, Save us, O God of our Salvation. Gather us together & deliver us from the heathen [who worship idols, so] we may give thanks to Your Holy Name & [triumph] in Your praise. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel forever & ever.

All the people said, Amen [& they] praised the Lord. [In leaving from the front of] the Ark of the Covenant, David left Asaph & [his relatives] to minister [serve] before the Ark [of the Covenant of the Lord] continually, as [each] day's work required.

[David also left] Obed Edom, [Jeduthun's] son & 68 [relatives.] Obed Edom & Hosah [were] to be [gate keepers.] Zadok, the priest & his priest [relatives were to be in front of] the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place that was at Gibeon.

[They were to present] burnt offerings to the Lord upon the altar [for] the burnt [offerings] continually, morning & evening & to do according to all that is written in the [Lord's] Law, commanded to Israel.

[Along] with them, Heman & Jeduthun & the rest of [those] chosen by name, [were] to give thanks to the Lord, because His mercy endures forever. With them, Heman & Jeduthun [were in charge of the] trumpets, cymbals & musical instruments [to make music for the Lord God.]

[Jeduthun's] sons were [gate keepers.] All the people [left to return] to [their own] houses & David returned to bless his [household].

1 Chronicles 15:1-29 Bringing the Ark of God to the City of David

Bringing the Ark of God to the City of David

1 Chronicles 15:1-29 1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

David made [himself] houses in the city of David & prepared a place for the Ark of God & pitched a tent for it. David said, [No one should] carry the Ark of God [except] the Levites.

For the Lord has chosen them to carry the Ark of God & to minister to Him forever. David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring the Ark of the Lord [into its] place, which he had prepared for it.

David assembled the [descendants] of Aaron & the Levites. [From Kohath's descendants:] Uriel, the chief [leader] & 120 of his [relatives.] [From  the descendants of Gershom a.k.a. Gershon:] Joel, the chief [leader] & 130 [relatives.]

[From Elizaphan's descendants;] Shemiah, the chief [leader] & 200 [relatives.] [From Hebron's descendants;] Eliel, the chief [leader] & 80 [relatives.] [From [Uzziel's descendants;] Amminadab, the chief [leader] & 112 [relatives.]

David called for Zadok & Abiathar, the priests, [& called] for the Levites: Uriel, Asiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel & Amminadab & said to them, You are the [leaders] of the [Levite forefathers.]

Sanctify yourselves, both you & your [relatives, so] you may bring up the Ark of the Lord God of Israel [into] the place I have prepared for it. Because you didn't [do] it the 1st [time] & the Lord, our God [broke out in anger] upon us, [since we didn't seek] Him [about how to do it properly.]

So, the priests & Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the Ark of the Lord God of Israel. The children [people] of the Levites [carried] the Ark of God upon their shoulders with the [poles within the gold rings on the corners of the Ark, like] Moses commanded according to the Word of the Lord.

David [spoke] to the [leaders] of the Levites to appoint their [relatives] to be the singers with the [musicians] of instruments, [lyres,] harps & cymbals, by lifting up [their voices] with joy [loudly.]

The Levites appointed Heman, [Joel's] sons & [from] his [relatives:] Asaph, son of Berechiah [a.k.a. Berekiah] & [from their relatives] of the sons of Merari, Ethan, [Kushaiah's] son.

And with them, their [relatives next in rank:] Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Uni [a.k.a. Unni,] Eliab,  Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Elipheleh [a.k.a. Eliphelehu,] Mikneiah, Obed Edom & Jeiel, the [gate keepers.]

So, the singers: Heman, Asaph & Ethan were [chosen] to [play] the brass cymbals. Zechariah, Aziel [a.k.a. Jaaziel,] Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Uni [a.ka. Unni,] Eliab, Manasseh [a.k.a. Maaseiah,] Benaiah [were to play the lyres with sopranos singing the psalm.]

And Mattithiah, Elipheleh [a.k.a. Eliphelehu,] Mikneiah, Obed Edom, Jeiel & Azaziah, with harps [while the men excel by singing the lowest notes possible.] And Chenaniah [a.k.a. Kenaniah, the Levite music director,] instructed about [singing,] because he was skilful.

Berechiah [a.k.a. Berekiah] & Elkanan [a.k.a. Elkanah,] were [the] door keepers for the Ark. Shebaniah, Jehoshaphat [a.k.a. Joshaphat,] Nethaneel [a.k.a. Nethanel,] Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah & Eliezer, the priests, were to blow the trumpets [in front of] the Ark of God.

And Obed Edom & Jehiah were [also the] door keepers of the Ark. So, David & the elders of Israel, the captains over 1,000's, went to bring up the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord out of the house of Obed Edom with joy.

[Because] God helped the Levites [who carried] the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord, they offered 7 bulls & 7 rams [as a sacrifice.]

David was clothed with a robe of fine linen & also all the Levites [who carried] the Ark, the singers [& musicians] & Chenaniah [a.k.a. Kenaniah,] the music director, in charge of the choir of] singers.

David also [wore] a linen ephod [decorative vest often worn by the high priest.] All Israel brought up the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord with shouting & [sounds] of [cornets,] trumpets, cymbals, [lyres] & harps [making music.]

It [happened] as the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal, [Saul's] daughter, [looked] out a window & saw king David dancing & [celebrating] & she despised him in her heart.

1 Chronicles 14:1-17 The Children David Fathered in Israel

The Children David Fathered in Israel

1 Chronicles 14:1-17     1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

Now, Hiram [Tyre's] king, sent messengers to David [with] cedar timber, masons & carpenters to build David a [palace.] David [realized] the Lord had [established] him [as] king over Israel, for his kingdom was [highly exalted,] because of His people Israel.

David took more wives [in] Jerusalem & David [fathered] more sons & daughters. These are the names of his children, [that] he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, Ibhar, Elishua, El Palet [a.k.a. Elpelet,]

Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Beehada [a.k.a. Beeliada] & Eliphalet [a.k.a. Eliphelet.] When the Philistines heard David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to [look for] David.

David heard [about] it & went out [to meet] them. The Philistines came & spread themselves [out & raided] in the Valley of Rephaim. David [inquired] of God, [asking,] Shall I go up against the Philistines?

The Lord said to him, Go up: for I will deliver them into your hand. So, the [Philistines] came up to Baal Perazim & David [defeated] them there. Then, David said, God has broken [out] upon my enemies [through] my hand, like the waters [break through].

Therefore, the place was called Baal Perazim. And when the [Philistines] had left their [false] gods there, David gave a command & they were burned with fire. [Still] again, the Philistines spread themselves [around] in the valley.

Therefore, David [inquired] again of God. And God said to [David, Don't] go up after them. Turn away from them & come upon them [in front of ] the mulberry trees.

It shall be when you hear a sound going through the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle: for God has gone [out] before you to [strike] the [army] of the Philistines.

Therefore, David did as God commanded him. They [defeated] the Philistine [army] from Gibeon to Gazer. [David's] fame went out into all the lands. The Lord brought the fear [respect] of [David] upon all nations.

1 Chronicles 13:1-14 The Ark of God Stays with Obed Edom for 3 Months

The Ark of God Stays with Obed Edom for 3 Months

1 Chronicles 13:1-14      1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

David consulted the captains of 1,000's & 100's & with every leader. David said to all the congregation of Israel, If it [seems] good to you & if [it's the will] of the Lord our God, let us ask [those] to gather to us & send [word throughout our territories, to our relatives & all who] are left in the land of Israel.

And also to the priests & Levites [who] are in their cities & suburbs. Let us bring [back to us] again the Ark of our God: for we haven't [inquired] of it, [during] the days Saul [ruled.]

All the congregation [agreed:] for [this] was right in the eyes of all the people. David gathered all Israel together, from [the] Sihor [River] of Egypt, to the [entrance] of Hemath, to bring [back] the Ark of God from Kirjath Jearim [a.k.a. Kiriath Jearim.]

David & all Israel went up to Baalah, [also called] Kirjath Jearim, which belonged to Judah. [In order to] bring [up from there] the Ark of the Lord God, [Who] dwells between the cherubims [1 angelic statue on either side of the Ark,] [where the Lord's Holy] Name [is called upon.]

And they carried the Ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab. Uzza [a.k.a. Uzzah] & Ahio [drove] the card. David & all Israel played harps, [lyres, tambourines,] cymbals & trumpets [in front of] God with all their might & singing.

When they came to the threshing floor of Chidon [a.k.a. Kidron,] Uzza [1 of the drivers] put [out] his hand to hold the Ark [when] the oxen stumbled. The [Lord's] anger [grew] against Uzza & He [struck down Uzza,] because he put his hand on the Ark. There he died before God.

David was displeased, because the Lord had [broken out against] Uzza. [Therefore,] that place is called Perez Uzza to this day. David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the Ark of God home to me?

So, David [didn't bring] the Ark home to the city of David to himself, but carried it aside to the house of Obed Edom, the Gittite. The Ark of God remained with the family of Obed Edom [at] his house [for] 3 months. The Lord blessed the house of Obed Edom & all that he had.

1 Chronicles 12:1-40 The Mighty Men of War Who Came to Help David Become King

The Mighty Men of War Who Came to Help David Become King

1 Chronicles 12:1-40     1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

Now, these are [the men who] came to David to Ziklag, while [David] kept himself [hidden] because of [king] Saul, [Kish's] son. They were among the mighty men of war [& assisted David with] the war.

They were armed with bows & arrows [& they] could [hurl] stones with both [their] right & left hands & even [some] of Saul's [relatives] of Benjamin.

The chief [leader] was Ahiezer; then Joash, the sons of Shemaah [a.k.a. Shemaiah & Hasmaah] the Gibeathite; Jeziel & Pelet, [Azmaveth's] sons; Berachah [a.k.a. Berakah] & Jehu, the Antothite [a.k.a. Anathothite] & Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a mighty [warrior] among the 30, [who was the leader of the] 30.

And Jeremiah, Jahziel, Johanan & Josabad, the Gederathite. Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah & Shephatiah, the Haruphite. Elkanah; Jesiah [a.k.a. Ishiah;] Azareel [a.k.a. Azrael;] Joezer & Jashobeam, the Korhites [a.k.a. Korathites.]

Joelah & Zebadiah, [Jeroham's] sons [from] Gedor. [These] are the [mighty] men of valor of the Gadites [who joined] David in the [strong safe place of refuge in] the wilderness.

They were fit for the battle & [they] could handle [a] shield & [armor, with] faces like lions & were as swift as [gazelles] on the mountains: Ezer the 1st [in command;] Obadiah 2nd; Eliab 3rd; Mishmannah 4th; Jeremiah 5th; Attai 6th;

Eliel, 7th; Johanan, 8th; Elzabad, 9th; Jeremiah, 10th; Machbanai [a.k.a. Makbannai] 11th. These were [descendants] of Gad's] sons & captains of the [army.]

One of the least was over 100 [men] & the greatest [was] over 1,000. These went over [the] Jordan [River] in the 1st month, when it had overflown all [its] banks.

All [of] them [fought] in the valley, both toward the east & west of [some of] the children [people] of Benjamin & Judah came to David to the [strong hold.] David went out to meet them & said to them, If you come [peacefully] to me to help me, [then I'm ready for you to join me.]

If you come to betray me to [my] enemies, seeing [my hands are free from violence, may] the God of our [forefathers] look [upon it & judge you.] The Spirit came upon: Amasai, chief [leader] of [30] captains & he said, We are [yours,] David & [we are] on your side, you son of Jesse.

Peace, peace be to you & peace to your helpers; for your God helps [you.] Then, David received them & made them captains of [his bands of raiders.] Some of [the tribe of] Manasseh [joined with] David, when he [went] with the Philistines [to fight] against Saul.

But [David & his men didn't] help [the Philistines, [because the Philistine rulers] sent [David away] after [consulting,] saying, Our [own] heads will [be at risk, if David returns to his previous] master, Saul.

As [David returned] to Ziklag, [these were the men of Manasseh who defected] to him: Adnah; Jozabad; Jediael; Michael; Jozabad; Elihu; Zilthai [a.k.a. Zillethai;] captains of 1,000's that were of Manasseh.

They helped David against the [bands of raiders] for they were all mighty men & were captains in the [army.] At that time, [men] came to David day by day to help him, until it was a [large army,] like the [army of God.]

These are the numbers of the [men, who] were armed [for] war & came to David [in] Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul [over to David,] according to the Word of the Lord [God.]

The children [people] of Judah [who carried] shield & [spears] were 6,800 [equipped for] war. [From] the [people] of Simeon [were:] 7,100 mighty men of valor for the war.

[From] the [people] of Levi [were:] 4,600 & Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites & with him [were:] 3,700. [Also,] Zadok, a mighty, young man of valor [with] 22 captains [leaders] of his father's house [family.]

[From] the [people] of Benjamin, the [relatives] of Saul [were:] 3,000. [Until then,] that [largest] part of them [remained loyal to] the house of Saul. The [people] of Ephraim [were:] 20,800 mighty men of valor, famous throughout their [father's family.]

[From] the 1/2 [of the] tribe of Manasseh [were listed] 18,000 by name & [came] to make David king. [From] the [people] of Issachar, [who] were [wise] men of understanding & [knew] what Israel [should] do.

There were 200 heads [leaders] of them & all their [relatives] were at their [command.] [From] Zebulun, [there were:] 50,000 [who] went into battle, [experts] & prepared for war with all [weapons], who could keep [in battle formation & were loyal to David.]

[From] the [people] of Naphtali [were] 1,000 captains & 31,000 [of] them with [shields & spears.] And 28,600 Danites [were experts] in war. [From] Asher [were] 40,000, [who] went [into] battle & [were experts] in war.

On the other side [of the] Jordan [River,] the Reubenites, Gadites & ½ [of the] tribe of Manasseh [were:] 120,000 [who went to battle & were experts with all types of weapons] of war.

All these men of war could keep [in battle formation] & came with a [loyal] heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel. The rest of Israel  were of 1 heart to make David king.

They were with David [for] 3 days eating & drinking; [what] their brethren prepared for them. [Also, those who] were [near] to them, even to Issachar, Zebulun & Naphtali,

brought bread, meat, [flour,] cakes of figs, bunches of raisins, wine & oil on [donkey's] camels, mules & oxen, [as well as an abundance] of oxen & sheep. For there was joy in Israel.

1 Chronicles 11:1-47 When 3 Mighty Men Risked Their Lives to Bring Water to David

When 3 Mighty Men Risked Their Lives to Bring Water to David

1 Chronicles 11:1-47    1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

All Israel gathered themselves to David in Hebron, saying, [Look,] we are your [own] flesh & [blood]. In past [times,] when Saul was king, you led [us] out [to war & brought] Israel [back in.]

The Lord, your God, said to you, You shall feed My people, Israel & you shall be ruler over My people Israel. Therefore, all the elders of Israel came to Hebron to the king.

David made a covenant [promise] with them in Hebron before the Lord [God] & they anointed David king over Israel, according to the Word of the Lord, [through] Samuel, [the prophet.]

David & all Israel went to Jerusalem. Which [had previously been named:] Jebus; where the Jebusites [originally resided] in the land. The [residents] of Jebus said to David, You shall not come here.

[But] David [captured] the [palace] of Zion, which is [now called] the city of David. David [had] said, [Whoever attacks] the Jebusites 1st, shall be chief & captain. Joab, [Jeruiah's] son, went 1st & [became the] chief.

David dwelt in the [palace, that's why] they called it the city of David. He built [up all around] the city, even from Milo & [all around it]. And Joab repaired the rest of the city. David [grew] greater & greater: for the Lord of Hosts was with [David.]

These also are the chief [leaders] of [David's] mighty men, who strengthened themselves with [David] in his kingdom, with all Israel, to make [David] king, according to the Word of the Lord, concerning Israel.

[These are David's] mighty men: Jashobeam, a Hachmonite, chief [leader] of the captains. He lifted his spear against 300, [who were killed] by him at 1 time. After him, was Eleazar, [Dodo's] son, the Ahohite, who was 1 of the 3 mighty [men].

He was with David at Pas Dammim & the Philistines were gathered together to battle where a barely [plot was] & the [Israelites] fled before the Philistines. They [stationed] themselves in the midst of that [plot] & delivered it & [killed] the Philistines & the Lord saved them [with] a [large] deliverance.

3 of the 30 captains went down to David, to the rock [near] the Cave of Adullam. The Philistines [camped] in the Valley of Rephaim [giants.] David was then in the [safe place of refuge] & the Philistine garrison was at Bethlehem then.

David longed [for water] & said, Oh, [if someone] would give me a drink of water [from] the Well of Bethlehem at the gate! The 3 [captains broke] through [the Philistine army] & drew water out of the Well of Bethlehem by the gate & brought it to David.

But David [wouldn't] drink it & poured it out to the Lord & said, My God forbid that I shall do this thing. Shall I drink the blood of these men [who] have put their lives in jeopardy? For they [risked] their lives [to bring] it. Therefore, [David wouldn't] drink it.

The 3 mightiest men did these things. Abishai, [Joab's] brother, was chief of the 3: for lifting up his spear against 300 & he [killed] them. His name [was famous] among the 3 & he was more honorable than the 2: for he was their captain.

[But] he [didn't attain the fame of] the 1st 3. Benaiah, [Jehoiada's] son; [who was] the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many valiant acts. He [killed] 2 lion-like men of Moab.

He also went down & killed a lion in a pit on a snowy day. He [also killed] a [very tall] Egyptian, 5 cubits [tall.] In the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam. He went down to the [giant] with [only] a staff [like a long walking stick] & plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand & killed him with his own spear.

Benaiah, [Jehoiada's] did these things & had the [famous] name among the 3 mighty [men]. Behold, he was [honored] among the 30, [but he didn't attain the fame of the] 1st 3. David [put him in charge] over his [guards].

Also, the valiant men of the armies were: Asahel, [Joab's] brother; Elhanan, [Dodo's] son, of Bethlehem; Shammoth, the Haroite; Helez, the Pelonite; Ira, [Ikkesh'] son, the Tekoite; Abiezer, the Anathothite; Sibbecai [a.k.a. Sibbekai,] the Hushathite; Ilai, the Ahohite; Mahari, the Netophathite;

Heled, [Baanah's] son, the Netophathite; Ithai, [Ribai's] son, from Gibeah, [in Benjamin.] [These] pertained to the children [people] of Benjamin: Benaiah, the Pirathonite; Hurai, of the Brooks of Gaash; Abiel, the Arbathite;

Azmaveth, the Baharumite; Eliahba, the Shaalbonite. The sons of Hashem, the Gizonite; Jonathan, the son of Shage [a.k.a. Shagee,] the Hararite; Ahiam, the son of Sacar [a.k.a. Sakar & Sachar,] the Hararite; Eliphal, [Ur's] son,

1 Chronicles 10:1-14 Saul's Death in the Battle with the Philistines

Saul's Death in the Battle with the Philistines

1 Chronicles 10:1-14 1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

The Philistines fought against Israel & the men of Israel fled before the Philistines & fell down [dead] in Gilboa. The Philistines followed hard after Saul & his sons.

The Philistines [killed] Jonathan, Abinadab [a.k.a. Ishui] & Malchi Shua [a.k.a. Malki Shua, the] sons of Saul. The battle against Saul [became intense] & the archers hit & wounded him.

Saul said to his armor bearer, Draw your sword & thrust [it] through me, lest these uncircumcised [Philistines] come & abuse me. But the armor bearer [wouldn't,] for he was [very] afraid.

So Saul took a sword & fell [on] it. When his armor bearer saw Saul was dead, he [also] fell on the sword & died. So, Saul & his 3 sons & all those [fighting from] his [family] died together.

When the [Israelite] men in the valley saw that Saul & his sons were dead, they [abandoned] their cities & fled & the Philistines came & [lived] in them. [The next day,] when the Philistines came to [plunder] the [dead,] they found Saul & his sons [dead] in Mount Gilboa.

When they [plundered Saul,] they took his head & armor & sent [them all around] the land of the Philistines to carry [news] to their people & idols [false gods.]

They put [Saul's] armor in the house of their [false] gods & fastened his head in the temple of Dagon [a false god.] When all Jabesh Gilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul, [then] all the valiant men arose & took away the bodies of Saul & his sons.

[They] brought them to Jabesh & buried their bones under an oak in Jabesh. [They] fasted 7 days [in mourning.] So, Saul died in his [sins that] he committed against the Lord & against the word of the Lord, which he [didn't keep.]

And for asking counsel [from someone] with a familiar spirit, to [inquire] of it [by having her call up Samuel, the high priest, from the dead to give him advice.] And [Saul didn't inquire] of the Lord [God,] therefore [He had Saul killed] & turned the kingdom [over] to David, the son of Jesse.
