About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

1 Chronicles 12:1-40 The Mighty Men of War Who Came to Help David Become King

The Mighty Men of War Who Came to Help David Become King

1 Chronicles 12:1-40     1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

Now, these are [the men who] came to David to Ziklag, while [David] kept himself [hidden,] because of [king] Saul, [Kish's] son. They were among the mighty men of war [& assisted David with] the war.

They were armed with bows & arrows [& they] could [hurl] stones with both [their] right & left hands & even [some] of Saul's [relatives] of Benjamin.

The chief [leader] was Ahiezer; then Joash, the sons of Shemaah, [a.k.a. Shemaiah & Hasmaah] the Gibeathite; Jeziel & Pelet, [Azmaveth's] sons; Berachah, [a.k.a. Berakah] & Jehu, the Antothite, [a.k.a. Anathothite] & Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a mighty [warrior] among the 30, [who was the leader] over the 30.

And Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan & Josabad, the Gederathite. Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah & Shephatiah, the Haruphite. Elkanah; Jesiah, [a.k.a. Ishiah;] Azareel, [a.k.a. Azrael;] Joezer & Jashobeam, the Korhites, [a.k.a. Korathites.]

And Joelah & Zebadiah, [Jeroham's] sons [from] Gedor. [These] are the [mighty] men of war, of the Gadites [who joined] David in the [strong safe place of refuge in] the wilderness.

[They were] fit for the battle & [they] could handle [a] shield & [armor, with] faces like lions & were as swift as [gazelles] upon the mountains: Ezer, the 1st [in command;] Obadiah, 2nd; Eliab, 3rd; Mishmannah, 4th; Jeremiah, 5th; Attai, 6th;

Eliel, 7th; Johanan, 8th; Elzabad, 9th; Jeremiah, 10th; Machbanai, [a.k.a. Makbannai] 11th. These were [descendants] of [Gad's] sons & [were] captains of the [army.]

One of the least was over 100 [men] & the greatest [was] over 1,000. These are [those who] went over [the] Jordan [River] in the 1st month, when it had overflown all [its] banks & all of them in the valleys, both toward the east & the west [fled.]

[Some of] the children [people] of Benjamin & Judah came to David to the [strong hold.] And David went out to meet them & said to them, If you come [peacefully] to me to help me, [then my] heart shall [join with] you.

But if you come to betray me to [my] enemies, seeing [my hands are free from violence, may] the God of our [forefathers] look [upon it & judge you.] Then the Spirit came upon: Amasai, chief [leader] of [30] captains & he said, We are [yours,] David & [we are] on your side, you son of Jesse.

Peace, peace be to you & peace to your helpers; for your God helps you. Then, David received them & made them captains of [his group.] Some of [the tribe of] Manasseh [joined with] David, when he [went] with the Philistines [to fight] against Saul.

But [David & his men didn't] help [the Philistines, [because the Philistine rulers] sent [David away] after [consulting,] saying, Our [own] heads will [be at risk, if David returns to his previous] master, Saul.

As [David returned] to Ziklag, [these were the men of Manasseh who defected] to him: Adnah; Jozabad; Jediael; Michael; Jozabad; Elihu; Zilthai, [a.k.a. Zillethai;] captains of 1,000's that were of Manasseh.

And they helped David against the band of [raiders:] for they were all mighty men & were captains in the [army.] At that time, [men] came to David day by day to help him, until it was a [large army,] like the [army of God.]

And these are the numbers of the [men, who] were armed [for] war & came to David [in] Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul [over to David,] according to the Word of the Lord [God.]

The children [people] of Judah [who carried] shield & [spears] were 6,800 [equipped for] war. [From] the children [people] of Simeon [were:] 7,100 mighty men of valor for the war.

[From] the children [people] of Levi [were:] 4,600 & Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites & with him [were:] 3,700. [Also,] Zadok, a mighty, young man of valor [with] 22 captains [leaders] of his father's [family.]

And [from] the children [people] of Benjamin, the [relatives] of Saul [were:] 3,000. [Until then,] the [largest] part of them had [remained loyal to] the house of Saul. And the children [people] of Ephraim [were:] 20,800 mighty men of valor, famous throughout their [father's family.]

[From] the 1/2 [of the] tribe of Manasseh [were listed] 18,000 by name, [who came] to make David king. [From] the children [people] of Issachar, [who] were [wise] men of understanding & [knew] what Israel [should] do;

[There] were 200 heads [leaders] of them & all their [relatives] were at their [command.] [From] Zebulun, [there were:] 50,000, [who] went into battle, [experts] & prepared for war with all [weapons,] who could keep [in battle formation & were loyal to David.]

[From] the [people] of Naphtali [were] 1,000 captains & 37,000 [of] them with [shields & spears.] And 28,600 Danites [were experts] in war. [From] Asher [were] 40,000, [who] went [into] battle & [were experts] in war.

On the other side [of the] Jordan [River,] the Reubenites, Gadites & ½ [of the] tribe of Manasseh [were:] 120,000 [who went to battle & were experts with all types of weapons] of war.

All these men of war could keep [in battle formation] & came with a [loyal] heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel. Also, the rest of Israel were of 1 heart to make David king.

They were with David [for] 3 days eating & drinking; [what] their brethren prepared for them. [Also, those who] were [near] them, even to Issachar, Zebulun & Naphtali,

brought bread, meat, [flour,] cakes of figs, bunches of raisins, wine & oil on [donkey's] camels, mules & oxen, [as well as an abundance of] oxen & sheep. For there was joy in Israel.

1 Chronicles 11:1-47 When 3 Mighty Men Risked Their Lives to Bring Water to David

When 3 Mighty Men Risked Their Lives to Bring Water to David

1 Chronicles 11:1-47    1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

All Israel gathered themselves to David in Hebron, saying, [Look,] we are your [own] flesh & [blood.] In past [times,] even when Saul was king, you led [us] out [to war & brought] Israel [back in.]

And the Lord, your God, said to you, You shall feed My people, Israel & you shall be ruler over My people Israel. Therefore, all the elders of Israel came to Hebron to the king.

And David made a covenant [contract] with them in Hebron before the Lord [God] & they anointed David king over Israel, according to the Word of the Lord, [through] Samuel. [1 Samuel 3:20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beer Sheba, knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord.]

And David & all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were the [residents] of the land. The [residents] of Jebus said to David, You shall not come here.

[But] David [captured] the castle of Zion, which is the city of David. And David [had] said, [Whoever attacks] the Jebusites 1st, shall be chief & captain. So, Joab, [Jeruiah's] son, went 1st & [became the] chief.

And David dwelt in the castle, [that's why] they called it the city of David. And [David] built the city [up all around,] even from Milo & [all around it.] And Joab repaired the rest of the city. So, David [grew] greater & greater: for the Lord of Hosts was with [David.]

These also are the chief [leaders] of the mighty men, whom David had, who strengthened themselves with [David] in his kingdom & with all Israel, to make [David] king, according to the Word of the Lord, concerning Israel.

[These are David's] mighty men: Jashobeam, a Hachmonite, chief [leader] of the captains. He lifted his spear against 300, [who were killed] by him at 1 time. After him, was Eleazar, [Dodo's] son, the Ahohite, who was 1 of the 3 [mighty men.]

He was with David at Pas Dammim & the Philistines were gathered together to battle there, where a barely [plot was] & the [Israelites] fled before the Philistines. They [stationed] themselves in the midst of that [plot] & delivered it & [killed] the Philistines & the Lord saved them [with] a [large] deliverance.

Now, 3 of the 30 captains went down to David, to the rock [near] the Cave of Adullam. The Philistines [camped] in the Valley of Rephaim, [a.k.a. giants.] And David then was in the [safe place of refuge] & the Philistine garrison was [also] at Bethlehem then.

David longed [for water] & said, Oh, [if someone] would give me a drink of water [from] the Well of Bethlehem at the gate! The 3 [captains broke] through [the Philistine army] & drew water out of the Well of Bethlehem by the gate & brought it to David.

But David wouldn't drink it & poured it out to the Lord & said, My God [forbids] it [of] me, that I shall do this thing. Shall I drink the blood of these men [who] have put their lives in jeopardy? For [they risked] their lives [to bring] it. Therefore, [David] wouldn't drink it.

These 3 mightiest men did these things. And Abishai, [Joab's] brother, was chief of the 3: for lifting up his spear against 300 & he [killed] them. His name [was famous] among the 3. Of the 3, he was more honorable than the 2; for he was their captain.

[But] he [didn't attain the fame of] the 1st 3. Benaiah, [Jehoiada's] son; [who was] the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many valiant acts. He [killed] 2 lion-like men of Moab.

He also went down & [killed] a lion in a pit [on] a snowy day. And he [also killed] a [very tall] Egyptian, 5 cubits [tall.] And In the Egyptian's hand was a spear like a weaver's beam. He went down to [the giant] with [only] a staff & plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand & [killed] him with his own spear.

Benaiah, [Jehoiada's] son, did these things & had the [famous] name among the 3 [mighty men.] [See,] he was [honored] among the 30, [but he didn't attain the fame of the] 1st 3. David [put him in charge] over his [guards.]

Also, the valiant men of the armies were: Asahel, [Joab's] brother; Elhanan, [Dodo's] son, of Bethlehem; Shammoth, the Harorite; Helez, the Pelonite; Ira, [Ikkesh'] son, the Tekoite; Abiezer, the Antothite; Sibbecai, [a.k.a. Sibbekai,] the Hushathite; Ilai, the Ahohite; Maharai, the Netophathite;

Heled, [Baanah's] son, the Netophathite; Ithai, [Ribai's] son, [from] Gibeah, [who] pertained to the children [people] of Benjamin [with:] Benaiah, the Pirathonite; Hurai, [from] the Brooks of Gaash; Abiel, the Arbathite;

Azmaveth, the Baharumite; Eliahba, the Shaalbonite. The sons of Hashem, the Gizonite; Jonathan, the son of Shage, [a.k.a. Shagee,] the Hararite; Ahiam, the son of Sacar, [a.k.a. Sakar & Sachar,] the Hararite; Eliphal, [Ur's] son, [fom] Ur;

Hepher, the Mecherathite, [a.k.a. Mekerathite;] Ahijah, the Pelonite; Hezro, the Carmelite; Naarai, [a.k.a. Naari, Ezbai's] son; Joel, [Nathan's] brother; Mibhar, son of Haggeri, [a.k.a. Hagri;] Zelek, the Ammonite;

Naharai, the Berothite, [a.k.a. Beerothite] & [Joab's] armor bearer, [who was] the son of Zeruiah & Ira, the Ithrite; Gareb, the Ithrite; Urriah, [a.k.a. Uriah,] the Hittite; Zabad, [Ahlai's] son;

Adina, [Shiza's] son, the Reubenite & captain of the Reubenites & 30 [men] with him. Hanan [the] son of Maachah, [a.k.a. Maakah & Maacah & Makkah;] Joshaphat, [a.k.a. Jehoshaphat,] the Mithnite;

Uzzia, the Ashterathite; Shama & Jehiel, [a.k.a. Jeiel,] the sons of Hotham, the Aroerite; Jediael, [Shimri's] son & his brother, Joha, the Tizite, Eliel, the Mahavite. And Jeribai & Joshaviah, the sons of Elnaam & Ithmah, the Moabite; Eliel, Obed & Jasiel, [a.k.a. Jaasiel,] the Mesobaite.

1 Chronicles 10:1-14 Saul's Death in the Battle with the Philistines

Saul's Death in the Battle with the Philistines

1 Chronicles 10:1-14   1 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

The Philistines fought against Israel & the men of Israel fled before the Philistines & fell down [dead] in Mount Gilboa. The Philistines followed hard after Saul & his sons.

The Philistines [killed] Jonathan, Abinadab, [a.k.a. Ishui] & Malchi Shua, [a.k.a. Malki Shua,] the sons of Saul. And the battle against Saul [became intense] & the archers hit & wounded him.

Then, Saul said to his armor bearer, Draw your sword & thrust [it] through me, lest these uncircumcised [Philistines] come & abuse me. But his armor bearer wouldn't, for he was [very] afraid.

So, Saul took a sword & fell [on] it. When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he [also] fell on the sword & died. So, Saul & his 3 sons & all [those fighting from] his [family] died together.

And when all the [Israelite] men in the valley saw that Saul & his sons were dead, they [abandoned] their cities & fled & the Philistines came & [lived] in them. And it [happened] on the [next day,] when the Philistines came to [plunder] the [dead,] they found Saul & his sons [dead] in Mount Gilboa.

And when they [plundered Saul,] they took his head & armor & sent [them all around] the land of the Philistines to carry [news] to their idols & to the people.

And they put [Saul's] armor in the house of their gods & fastened his head in the temple of Dagon. And when all Jabesh Gilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul, [then] all the valiant men arose & took away the bodies of Saul & his sons.

[They] brought them to Jabesh & buried their bones under an oak in Jabesh & [they] fasted 7 days [in mourning.] So, Saul died in his [sins that] he committed against the Lord, even against the Word of the Lord, which he [didn't keep.]

And also for asking counsel [from someone] with a familiar spirit, to [inquire] of it. [Leviticus 19:31 [Don’t hold with high respect those who] have familiar spirits & neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them. I Am the Lord your God.] And [Saul didn't inquire] of the Lord [God.] Therefore, He [killed Saul] & turned the kingdom [over] to David, the son of Jesse.

2 Chronicles 10:1-19 The Israelites Make a Request to King Rehoboam

The Israelites Make a Request to King Rehoboam

2 Chronicles 10:1-19                     2 Chronicles in [Smaller Chunks]

Rehoboam, [Solomon’s] son, went to Shechem, [because] all Israel had come [there] to make him king. It [happened] when Jeroboam, [Nebat’s] son, was in Egypt, [where] he had fled from the presence of king Solomon.

[1 Kings 11:40 Solomon therefore sought to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose & fled to Egypt, to Shishak, [Egypt’s] king until the death of Solomon.]

When [Jeroboam] heard it, he returned from Egypt & [the Israelites] sent & called for him. So, Jeroboam & all Israel came & spoke to Rehoboam, saying, Your father [Solomon] made our [work load] grievous.

Therefore, somewhat ease our [harsh labor] of your father & the heavy [burden] he put upon us & we will serve you. [Rehoboam] said to them, Come [back] to me after 3 days, [so] the people [left.]

King Rehoboam [got advice from] the old men [who] stood before his father, Solomon, while he [was still alive.] [Rehoboam said,] What [advice] do you give me, to answer [these] people? They said, If [you’re] kind to [these] people, please them & speak [nicely] to them, they will be your servants forever.

[Rehoboam abandoned] the [advice] of the old men & [got advice from] the young men [who] were brought up with him & stood before him.

[Rehoboam asked] them, What advice do you give, [so] we may answer [these] people [who] spoke to me, saying, Somewhat ease the [grievous work] your father put upon us?

The young men [who] were brought up with him [said,] You shall answer the people [who wanted] you to make their [work] somewhat lighter than your father’s heavy [burden,] say [this] to them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s [waist.]

[Since,] my father put a heavy [burden] on you, I will [add] more to your [work.] My father [punished] you with whips, but I will punish you with scorpions. Jeroboam & all the people came to king Rehoboam, as [he requested.]

King [Rehoboam] answered them roughly & [abandoned] the [advice] of the old men & answered them like] the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your [workload] heavy, but I will add [to it.] My father [punished] you with whips, but I will [punish] you with scorpions.

The king [didn’t listen] to the people; for [this] was of God, [so] the Lord [could accomplish] the word He spoke by Ahijah, the Shilonite to Jeroboam, [Nebat’s] son.

When all Israel saw that the king [wouldn’t listen] to them, [they] answered the king, saying What portion [of any inheritance] do we have left in David, [Jesse’s] son? None, every man to your tents, O Israel. Now, David [take care] of your own house.

So, all Israel went to their tents. But Rehoboam [still ruled] over the children [people] of Israel [who lived] in the cities of Judah. Then, king Rehoboam sent Hadoram [who] was over the [forced labor] & the [people] of Israel stoned him [to death.] But king Rehoboam [speedily got] to his chariot to flee to Jerusalem.
