About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Leviticus 19:1-37 Rules for the Israelites to be Holy People

Rules for the Israelites to be Holy People

Leviticus 19:1-37          The Third Book of Moses Called Leviticus

The Lord [God spoke] to Moses, saying, Speak to all the congregation of the children [people] of Israel, You shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am Holy. [Everyone of] you shall fear [respect] his mother & father & keep My Sabbaths. I am the Lord your God.

[Don’t] turn to idols, nor make for yourself [molded] gods. I am the Lord your God. [Exodus 20:4-5 You shall not make to [yourselves] any [carved] or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the [sin] of the fathers upon the children [until] the 3rd & 4th generations of [those who] hate Me.]

If you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, you shall offer it of your own free will. It shall be eaten the same day you offer it & [it may be eaten] on the [next day.]

[If any of it] remains until the 3rd day, it shall be burned with fire. If it is eaten on the 3rd day, it is [impure] & shall not be accepted. Everyone who eats it [then] shall bear his [guilt,] because he has profaned [what is holy to the] Lord. And that [person’s life] shall be cut off from his people.

When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not [totally] reap the corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings [of the leftover crop] of your harvest. You shall not glean your vineyards, nor gather every grape in your vineyard, but you shall leave them for the poor & the stranger.

I am the Lord your God. You shall not steal, [nor] deal falsely, [nor] lie to one another. You shall not swear by My name falsely, [nor] shall you profane the Name of your God: I am the Lord. You shall not [cheat nor rob] your neighbor.

[You shall pay the person you hire when they do their work, instead of making them stay all night until the next day for their wages.] You shall not curse the deaf nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but [you] shall fear [respect] your God. I am the Lord.

You shall do no [injustice] in your judgment. You shall not be [partial] to the poor, nor [honor] the mighty person. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

You shall not [go around] as a [gossip telling things that should be kept confidential] among your people, [nor] shall you take a stand against [the life] of your neighbor. I am the Lord.

[Don’t harbor hatred] in your heart for your brother, [but confront your] neighbor & not [allow the existence of] sin upon him. You shall not take [vengeance on,] nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

You shall keep My [mandates.] You shall not let your [livestock] breed with [another kind of animal.] You shall not sow your field with [mixed] seed, [nor] shall you [wear] a garment [made of both] linen & wool.

Whoever lies [intimately] with a bondmaid [engaged] to a husband & [hasn’t been] redeemed, nor given her freedom, she shall be scourged, [but] they shall not be put to death, because she wasn’t free.

He shall bring a ram for his trespass offering to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the Lord for his sin which he has done & he shall be forgiven [for his sin.]

When you come into the land & have planted all [kinds] of trees for food, you shall [consider] the fruit uncircumcised for the 1st 3 years & shall not  be eaten. But in the 4th year all the fruit shall be holy to praise the Lord [with it.] The 5th year, you may eat [its] fruit that it may yield to you & [its] increase. I am the Lord your God.

You shall not eat anything with the blood [still in it,] nor shall you use enchantments [witchcraft, casting spells, sorcery, divination] nor observe the times [astrology, horoscopes, seasons, fortune telling.] You shall not [shave around] the corners of your heads, [nor] shall you mar the corners of your beard.

You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks on you: I am the Lord. Do not prostitute your daughter to cause her to be a [harlot;] lest the land fall into [harlotry] & the land becomes full of wickedness.

You shall keep My Sabbaths & [show] reverence [toward] My sanctuary. I am the Lord your God. [Don’t have regard for] those who have familiar spirits [those who try to contact the dead,] nor seek after wizards to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.

You shall [stand up] & rise before the [gray headed] & honor the face of an old man & fear [respect] your God. I am the Lord.

If a stranger [dwells] with you in your land, you shall not [mistreat] him. But the stranger [who] dwells with you shall be to you [like] one born among you & you shall love him as yourself: for you were [once] strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

You shall do no [injustice] in judgment.  [Don’t use dishonest measurements of length, weight, or quantity.] You shall have [honest[ scales, [honest] weights, [honest] ephah [approx. 6 gallons] & [honest] hin [approx. 1 gallon.]

I am the Lord your God, [Who] brought you out of the land of Egypt. Therefore, you shall observe all My [mandates] & My all My judgements & do them. I am the Lord.

Leviticus 18:1-30 Israelites Are to Be Moral People & Not Defile Themselves

Israelites Are to Be Moral People & Not Defile Themselves

Leviticus 18:1-30          The Third Book of Moses Called Leviticus

The Lord [spoke] to Moses saying, Speak to the children [people] of Israel, I am the Lord your God. You shall not do [according ]to [all the things that were done] in the land of Egypt [where you lived] & you shall not do [them.] And after [what was done in] the land of Canaan, [where I am bringing] you.

[Ezekiel 6:5-6 And I will lay the dead carcasses of the children of Israel, before their idols & I will scatter your bones [around] your altars. The cities shall be [in ruins in all the places you live in] the cities & the high places shall be desolate [& empty] & your idols may be broken & cease & your images may be cut down & your works may be abolished.]

You shall not [follow] in their [rules.] You shall do My [Laws] & keep [My rules,] to walk [in them.] I am the Lord your God. Therefore, you shall keep My [mandates] & My [Laws], [for the person who obeys them] shall live [by] them. I am the Lord.

None of you shall approach [& be intimate with any close relatives:] your father,]; your mother; your father’s wife; your sister; the daughter of your father or your mother, whether she is gone at home or abroad; your son’s daughter; your daughter’s daughter; your father’s wife’s daughter; your father’s sister; your mother’s sister; your father’s brother, or his wife, she is your aunt; your daughter-in-law; your brother’s wife & you shall not uncover the nakedness of any of these, because they are your [close relatives.]

[Also,] you shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman & her daughter, nor her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, for they] are [close relatives to her] & it is wickedness. Neither shall you take [intimately] a woman who is your wife’s sister [who will be a rival to her sister] during her lifetime.

You shall not approach a woman [intimately] as long as she is in her [monthly impurity.] [Also] you shall not lie [intimately] with your neighbor’s wife to defile yourself with her.

You shall not let any of your [descendants] pass through fire to Molech, neither shall you profane the Name of your God: I am the Lord. [2 Kings 17:17 And they caused their sons & their daughters to pass through the fire & to use divinations, enchantments [a.k.a. witchcraft] & sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.]

You shall not lie [intimately] with a [man] as with a [woman.] It is an abomination. Neither shall you [mate] with any animal to defile yourself with it. Neither shall any woman stand [in front of] an animal to [have sexual relations] with it. It is [perversion.]

Don’t defile yourselves with any of these things, [because that’s how] the nations [I’m] driving out before you became defiled. For the land is defiled, so I will [punish it] for their [sins] & the land shall vomit out [its] inhabitants.

Therefore, you shall keep My [mandates] & My [Laws] & shall not commit any of these abominations. Neither [shall] any of [those of] your nation, nor any stranger [who stays] among you.

(For all these abominations [have been done by those who] lived in the land before you & the land is defiled.) If you defile the land, the land will vomit you out [just] like it [did] to the [previous] nations.

For [whoever] shall commit any of these abominations, shall be cut off from among their people. Therefore, you shall keep My [rules, so] you don’t commit any of these [detestable] customs that were [done before you came] & defile yourself [with them.] I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 17:1-16 Not to Sacrifice to Demons, but Only to the Lord Your God

Not to Sacrifice to Demons, but Only to the Lord Your God

Leviticus 17:1-16          The Third Book of Moses Called Leviticus

The Lord [spoke] to Moses, saying, Speak to Aaron, his sons & the children [people] of Israel & say to them, The Lord has commanded this thing, [Whatever] man of Israel [who] kills an ox, lamb, or goat in the camp, or [outside] the camp,

And [he who doesn’t] bring it to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering to the Lord [in front of] the tabernacle of the Lord; shall be [guilty for shedding blood.] That man shall be cut off from among his people:

[In order] that the [people] of Israel, may [now] bring their sacrifices [that] they offer in an open field, to the Lord [to] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation to the priest & offer them for peace offerings to the Lord [God.]

The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation & burn the fat for a sweet [aroma] to the Lord. They shall [no longer] offer their sacrifices to [demons,] after whom they have [been unfaithful like a harlot.] This shall be a state for ever to them thought their generations.

[Psalm 106:35-38 But [they] were mingled among the heathen & learned their [deeds.] and they served their idols: which were a snare to them. [Yes,] they sacrificed their sons & their daughters to [demons.] and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons & their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan & the land was polluted with blood.]

And you shall say to them, [Whatever] man there [is] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers [who stay] among you, [who] offer a burnt offering or sacrifice & [don’t] bring it to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it to the Lord. Even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

And [whatever] man there [is] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers [who stay] among you, that eat any [type] of blood, I will even set My face against that [life of who] eats blood & will cut him off from among his people. For the life of the [meat] is in the blood. And I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

[That’s why] I said to the children of Israel, No [person among] you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger [who stays] among you, eat blood. And [whatever] man there [is] of the children of Israel, or of the strangers [who stay] among you, [who] hunts & catches any [animal or bird] that may be eaten, shall even pour out [its] blood & cover it with dust.

For it is the life of all flesh. The blood of it is for [its] life. Therefore, I say to the children of Israel, You shall eat the blood of no [type of flesh:] for the life of all flesh is [its] blood. [Whoever] eats it shall be cut off.

And every [person who] eats [what] has died of itself, or [what] was torn [by animals,] whether [it’s someone] of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes & bathe himself in water & [will] be unclean until the [evening.] Then, he shall be clean.

But if he [doesn't] wash [his clothes,] nor bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his [guilt.

Leviticus 16:1-34 Making Atonement in the Holy Place & Releasing the Scapegoat

Making Atonement in the Holy Place & Releasing the Scapegoat

Leviticus 16:1-34             The Third Book of Moses Called Leviticus

The Lord [spoke] to Moses after the death of [Aaron’s] 2 sons, when they offered before the Lord & died. [Leviticus 10:1 And Nadab & Abiquiu, the sons of Aaron, [both] took his censer & put fire [in it] & put incense [in there] & offered strange fire before the Lord, which He commanded them not [to do.]

The Lord said to Moses, Speak to Aaron, your brother, [so] that he [doesn’t] come into the Holy Place inside the [veil,] before the mercy seat which is on the ark, [at anytime he wants,] [so] he [doesn’t] die; for I will appear in a cloud upon the mercy seat.

Aaron shall come into the Holy Place [like this;] with a young [bull] for a sin offering & a ram for a burnt offering. He shall put on the holy linen coat & linen [pants] & shall be [strapped] with a linen [sash] & the linen [turban.] These are holy garments, therefore he shall wash his [body] in water [before putting] them on.

He shall take [from] the congregation of the children of Israel: 2 kid goats for a sin offering & 1 ram for a burnt offering. Aaron shall offer the [bull as a] sin offering for himself & his [family.]

He shall take the 2 goats & present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Aaron shall cast lots [for] the 2 goats & 1 lot for the [goat for] Lord & he will offer [it] as a sin offering.

The other lot [is] for the scapegoat, which will be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement with [it] & to let [it] go for a scapegoat into the And wilderness. Aaron shall kill the [bull] of the sin offering that is to make atonement for himself & his family.

And he shall take a censer [for incense] full of burning coals of fire, off the altar before the Lord, [with] his hands full of sweet incense beaten [fine] & bring it [inside the veil] & he shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, [so] that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the Testimony [so] he doesn’t die:

He shall take [some of] the blood of the [bull] with his finger & sprinkle it on the mercy seat eastward & [in front of] the mercy seat. He shall sprinkle [some] of the blood 7 times.

Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering for the people & bring [its] blood [inside] the veil to do as he [previously] did with the blood of the [bull] & sprinkle it on the mercy seat & [in front of] the mercy seat.

[Aaron] shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children [people] of Israel & because of their transgressions & all their sins. [Aaron] shall do [the same] for the tabernacle of the congregations [which] remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

There shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goes in to the Holy Place to make atonement for himself, his household & for all the congregation of Israel, until he comes out.

Aaron shall go out to the altar that is before the Lord & make atonement for it & shall take [some] of the blood of the [bull] & the goat & put it on the horns of the altar [all around.]

[Then,] he shall sprinkle [some] of the blood on it with his finger 7 times [to] cleanse it & [consecrate] it from the uncleanness of the children [people] of Israel. When he has made an end of [atoning for] the Holy Place, the tabernacle of the congregation & the altar, [Aaron] shall bring the live goat.

Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat & confess over [it] all the iniquities of the [people] of Israel & all their transgressions [related to] all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat.

[He] shall send [the live goat] away into the wilderness, by the hand of a [suitable] man.  And the goat shall bear upon him all their [sins] into an uninhabited land. and he shall let fo [of] the goat in the wilderness. [The person who] let the scapegoat go, shall wash his clothes & bathe his [body] in water & afterward come into the camp.

The goat shall bear on [itself] all their iniquities to an [uninhabited] land & he shall let the goat go in the wilderness. Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation & [take] off the linen garments, he put on when he went into the Holy Place & shall leave them there.

He shall wash his [body] with water in the holy place & put on his garments, come out & offer his burnt offering & the burnt offering [for] the people & make atonement for himself & the people. He shall burn the fat of the sin offering on the altar.

The [bull] & the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, [someone] shall [carry them outside] the camp & they shall burn [its] skins, flesh & [waste] in the fire. The [person who] burns them shall wash his clothes & bathe his [body] in water & may come into the camp afterward.

This shall be a statute forever [for] you, that on the 10th day of the 7th month, you shall [humble] your souls & do no work at all, whether [it's a person] of your own country, or a stranger who [stays] among you.

For on that day the priest shall make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, [so] that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord. It shall be a Sabbath of [solemn] rest for you & you shall [humble] your souls. It’s a statute forever.

The priest [who is anointed & consecrated] to minister in the priest’s office in his [father, Aaron’s, place] & shall make the atonement & put on the linen clothes & the holy garments.

He shall make atonement for: the Holy Sanctuary, the tabernacle of the congregation & for the altar & he shall make atonement for the priests & all the people of the congregation.

This shall be an everlasting statute for you to make atonement for the children [people] of Israel, for all their sins once a year. [Aaron] did as the Lord commanded Moses.

Leviticus 15:1-33 What Shall be Done for Those With a Discharge

What Shall be Done for Those With a Discharge

Leviticus 15:1-33          The Third Book of Moses Called Leviticus

The Lord [spoke] to Moses & Aaron, saying, [Say] to the children [people] of Israel, When any man has a [discharge from his body,] his [discharge] is unclean.

This shall be his uncleanness [in regard to his discharge:] whether his [body] runs with his [discharge] or his [body] is stopped [up] by his [discharge,] it is his uncleanness. Every bed is unclean [that the person] with a discharge lies upon & everything he [sits on] shall be unclean.

[Whoever] touches his bed, sits on [anything] he sat on, touches the [skin] of the person with the [discharge,], or is spit upon, or rides on the same saddle as [the person with a discharge,] or touches or [carries] any things that were under [the person with a discharge] shall wash their clothes & bathe in water & will be unclean until [evening.]

[Whoever] touches [a person with a discharge] & hasn’t rinsed his hands in water, shall wash their hands & bathe in water & wash their clothes & be unclean until [evening.] The earthen [clay] vessel of the person with a [discharge] shall be broken & every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.

When the person is cleansed of his [discharge,] he shall [count] 7 days [for his] cleansing & wash his clothes & bathe [his body] in running water & shall be clean.

On the 8th day, he shall take 2 turtle doves or 2 young pigeons & come before the Lord to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation & give them to the priest. The priest shall offer 1 [bird] as a sin offering & the other for a burnt offering. [So,] the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, [because of] his [discharge.]

If any man has an [emission of semen, that goes] out from him, then he shall wash his [body] & [every] garments or [leather] in water & be unclean until evening. Also, if a woman lies with a man & [who has an emission of semen,] they shall [both] bathe in water & be unclean until [evening.]

If a woman has a [discharge] from her [body] that is blood, she shall be [set] apart 7 days & whoever touches her, everything she lies on & [sits] on or is on them & [whoever] touches [any of those items] shall be unclean until [evening] & shall wash their clothes & bathe in water. And everything that she lies upon in her [period] of separation, shall be unclean & [whoever] touches her bed, shall wash his clothes & bathes himself in water & be unclean until the [evening.]

If any man [lies] with her at all & her [monthly blood] is on him, he shall be unclean for 7 days & his bed he lies [on.] If a woman has a [discharge] of blood for many days [other than] her [monthly impurity of blood] or it runs beyond her usual [monthly amount of] days of separation, she shall be unclean.

Every bed she lies on or sits on [during her separation] shall be unclean [like]  the [her customary separation.] [Whoever] touches those things shall wash his clothes & bathe in water & shall be unclean until [evening.]

If she [is] cleansed of her [discharge,] she shall [count] 7 days & after that she shall be clean. On the 8th day, she shall take 2 turtle doves or 2 young pigeons & bring them to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

The priest shall offer 1 [bird] as a sin offering & the other for a burnt offering & the priest shall make atonement for her before the Lord for the [discharge] of her uncleanness.

Thus you shall separate the children [people] of Israel from their uncleanness, [so] they don’t die in their uncleanness & they don’t defile My tabernacle that is among them.

This is the law [for those who] have a [discharge] & [those who emit semen] & is defiled [with it] & to her [who has her customary monthly impurity] & for [either] a man or woman who has a [discharge] & for him who lies with her [while] she is unclean.

Leviticus 14:1-57 The Law of Cleansing the Leper

The Law of Cleansing the Leper

Leviticus 14:1-57           The Third Book of Moses Called Leviticus

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, This shall be the law of the leper [on] the day of his cleansing. He shall be brought to the priest & the priest shall go [outside] the camp & shall [examine him.]

Behold, if the plague of leprosy [is] healed in the leper; Then the priest shall [order 2 clean live] birds, cedar wood, scarlet & hyssop for the person to be cleansed.

The priest shall [order] that 1 of the birds is killed in an earthen [clay] vessel over running water. He shall take the living bird, the cedar wood, scarlet & hyssop & dip them & the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:

He shall sprinkle [it] upon the [person] to be cleansed from leprosy 7 times & shall pronounce him clean & shall let the living bird loose into the open field. The [person] to be cleansed shall wash [their] clothes, shave off all his hair & wash himself in water, [so] he may be clean.

After that, he may come into the camp, but must stay outside of his tent for 7 days. On the 7th day, he shall shave off all his hair, beard & eyebrows & wash his clothes & wash [himself] in the water & he shall be clean.

On the 8th day, he shall take 2 [male] lambs & 1 ewe [female] lamb of the 1st year [all] without blemish & 3/10 [ephah] of fine flour for a [meat/grain] offering, [mixed] with oil & 1 log of oil.

The priest [who pronounces] him clean, shall present the man to be made clean & those things before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

The priest shall take 1 [male] lamb & offer him & the log of oil for a trespass offering & wave them for a wave offering before the Lord: He shall [kill] the lamb in the [same] place where he [kills] the sin offering & the burnt offering, in the holy place: [since] the sin offering is the priest’s [portion, so] is the trespass offering. It is most holy.

The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering & the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear, thumb of his right hand & the [big] toe of his right foot of the [one] to be cleansed.

The priest shall take some of the log of oil & pour it into the palm of his left hand & dip his right finger in the oil & sprinkle the oil with his finger 7 times before the Lord.

The priest shall put the [rest] of the oil in his hand upon the tip of the right ear, thumb of his right hand & the [big] toe of his right foot [on top of] the blood of the trespass offering & the [rest] of the oil in the priest’s hand shall be poured on the head of the [one] to be cleansed. The priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

The priest shall offer the sin offering & make an atonement for [the one] to be cleansed from his uncleanness. Afterward, [the priest] shall kill the burnt offering & offer it & the [meat/grain] offering upon the altar. The priest shall make atonement for him & he shall be clean.

If the person [is] poor & [can’t get all this,] then he shall take 1 lamb for a trespass offering to be waved & 1/10 [ephah] of fine flour [mixed] with oil for a [meat/grain] offering & a log of oil to make atonement for him;

And 2 turtle doves or 2 young pigeons, as he is able to get. The 1 [bird] shall be a sin offering & the other a burnt offering. He shall bring them on the 8th day to the priest at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the Lord for his cleansing.

The priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering & the log of oil & shall wave them for a wave offering before the Lord & he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering & take some of [its] blood & put it upon the tip of the right ear, thumb of his right hand & the [big] toe of his right foot of the [one] to be cleansed.

The priest shall take some of the log of oil & pour it into the palm of his left hand & dip his right finger [in] some of the oil & sprinkle the oil with his finger 7 times before the Lord.

The priest shall put the rest of the oil in his hand upon the tip of the right ear, thumb of his right hand & the [big] toe of his right foot [on top of] the blood of the trespass offering & the [rest] of the oil in the priest’s hand shall be poured on the head of the [one] to be cleansed. The priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

He shall offer 1 of the turtle doves or 1 young pigeon, [whatever he can get,] the 1 for a sin offering & the other for a burnt offering, with the [meat/grain] offering & the priest shall make atonement for the [one] to be cleansed before the Lord. This is the law of the [person who has] the plague of leprosy, [who can’t afford] to get [what] pertains to his cleansing.

The Lord [spoke] to Moses & Aaron, saying, When you come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession & I put the plague of leprosy in a house [in] the land of your possession.

He [who owns] a house shall come & tell the priest, saying, It seems to me there is a plague [of spreading mold] in the house: Then the priest shall [order] that they empty the house, before the priest goes into it to see the plague, [so] all [who go into] the house are not made unclean & afterward the priest shall go in to [examine] the house.

He shall [examine] the [mold] on the walls & behold, if the plague of [spreading mold is] in the walls of the house with greenish or reddish [streaks which are deeper than the surface] of the wall; Then the priest shall go out of the house, to the door of the house & shut up the house for 7 days.

The priest shall come again on the 7th day & shall [examine it] & behold, if the plaque [of mold] has spread in the walls of the house; Then the priest shall [order] that they take away the stones that have the [plague of mold in them] & they shall [throw them] into an unclean place [outside] the city.

[The priest] shall cause the house to be scraped [around the inside.] The dust that they scrape off shall [be poured out, outside] the city into an unclean place. They shall take [the] other stones & put them in the place of [the removed] stones & shall plaster the house with [new] mortar.

If the plague [of mold returns] & breaks out in the house, after he has [already] taken away the stones & scraped the house & plastered it; Then the priest shall come & examine [it] & if the plague [has] spread in the house, it is an [active] leprosy [of spreading mold] in the house & it is unclean.

He shall break down the house, the stones, the timber, & the mortar of the house & it shall [all] be carried [outside] the city into an unclean place. [Also, the person who] goes into the house while it is shut up, shall be unclean until the [evening.]

[The person who] lies in the house or eats in the house shall wash [their] clothes. If the priest comes to [examine the house] & behold the plague [of mold hasn’t] spread in the house after it was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague [of mold] is healed.

He shall take to cleanse the house 2 birds, cedar wood, scarlet & hyssop. He shall kill 1 of the birds in an earthen [clay] vessel over running water: He shall take the cedar wood, the scarlet & the living bird & dip them in the blood of the [killed] bird & in running water & sprinkle the house 7 times:

He shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird & with the running water & with the living bird, the cedar wood, hyssop & scarlet: But he shall let the living bird go [outside] the city into the open fields & make atonement for the house & it shall be clean.

This [plus the previous few chapters are] the law for all [kinds] of plagues of leprosy, [scaly diseases of the skin,] leprosy of garments & [leprosy of mold for] the house, swelling, [scabs,] & for a bright spot: To teach [them] when it is unclean and when it is clean. This is the law of leprosy.
