Psalm 147:1-20 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
Praise you the Lord: for it is good to sing praises to our God. For it is pleasant & praise is [beautiful.] The Lord [rebuilds] Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. He heals the broken [hearted] & [bandages] up their wounds. He tells the number of the stars & He calls them all by their names. |
[Amos 5:8 Seek Him, [Who] makes the 7 stars & Orion & turns the shadow of death into morning & makes the day dark, with night. [Who] calls the waters of the sea & pours them out upon the [surface] of the earth. The Lord is His Name.] |
Great & of great power is our Lord. His understanding is infinite. The Lord lifts up the [humble] & He casts down the wicked to the ground. Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving. Sing praise upon the harp to our God, Who covers the heaven with clouds. Who prepared rain for the earth. |
Who makes grass to grow upon the mountains. He gives to the [animals] his food & to the young ravens, which cry. He [doesn't] delight in the strength of the horse. He [doesn't] take pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord takes pleasure in [those who] fear [respect] Him & in [who] hope in His mercy. |
Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem. Praise your God, O Zion. For He has strengthened the bars of your gates & He has blessed [your future] children within you. He makes peace in your borders & fills you with the finest wheat. He sends [out] His [commandments] upon the earth. |
His Word [is spread speedily like someone] runs very quickly. He gives snow, like wool. He scatters the [ground frost] like ashes. He casts [out] His ice, like morsels [of food.] Who can stand before His cold? He sends out His Word & melts them. He causes His wind to blow & the waters to flow. |
He [declares] His Word to Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel] & His [mandates] & His judgments to Israel. He has not dealt [like this] with any nation. And as for His judgments, they haven't known them. Praise you the Lord. |

Psalm 146:1-10 Book# 5 of Psalms
Psalm 146:1-10 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
Praise you the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. While I live, I will praise the Lord. I will sing praises to my God while I have any [life.] [Don't] put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goes [out] & he returns to the [ground] & [on] that very day, his thoughts perish. [Job 34:15 All flesh shall perish together & man shall [return] again unto dust.] |
Happy is he [who] has the God of Jacob, [a.k.a. Israel,] for His help & whose hope is in the Lord his God; [Who] made heaven & earth, the sea & all that is [in there, that] keeps truth forever. |
[Genesis 1:9-10 And God said, Let the waters under heaven be gathered together unto one place & let the dry land appear. And it was so. And God called the dry land: Earth. And He called the gathering together of the waters: Seas. And God saw that it was good.] |
[Who] executes [justice] for the oppressed. [Who] gives food to the hungry. The Lord [loosens] the prisoner. [Isaiah 49:8-10 *The Lord says this, In an acceptable time, I have heard You. And [on] the day of Salvation, I have helped You & I will [save] You & give You for a covenant [contract for] the people, to establish the earth & to cause the desolate heritages to [be inherited.] |
*That You may say to the prisoner, Go [out] & to [those who] are in darkness, [Show] yourselves. They shall [eat] in the [roads] & their pastures shall be in all the high places. |
*They shall not hunger, nor thirst. Neither shall the heat, nor the sun [scorch] them, for He, [Who] has mercy on them, shall lead them & He shall guide them, even by the springs of water.] |
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind & the Lord raises [up those who are hunched over.] The Lord loves the righteous. [Matthew 15:30-31 And great multitudes came unto Him, having with them those [who] were lame, blind, [mute, crippled] & many others & cast them down at Jesus' feet & He healed them. |
[For this reason,] the multitude wondered, when they saw the [mute] speak, the [crippled,] to be whole, the lame to walk & the blind to see & they glorified the God of Israel.] |
The Lord [watches over] the strangers. He relieves the fatherless & widow: but the way of the wicked, He turns upside down. The Lord shall [rule] forever, even your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise you the Lord. |
[Revelation 11:15 And the 7th Angel sounded & there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world [have] become the kingdoms of our Lord & of His Christ. And He shall [rule] forever & ever.] |

Song of Solomon 4:1-16 Descriptions from the Married Couple, Compared with Jesus Christ & His Bride
Descriptions from the Married Couple, Compared with Jesus Christ & His Bride |
Song of Solomon 4:1-16 The Song of Solomon [in Smaller Chunks] |
[Look,] you are [attractive,] my love. [See] you are fair. You have dove's eyes within your locks. Your hair is [like] a flock of goats that appear from Mount Gilead. Your teeth are like a flock of sheep that came up from the washing & are shorn even, [in which] everyone bears twins & none is [empty] among them. |
[Revelation 21:1-2 And I saw a new heaven & a new earth; for the 1st heaven & the 1st earth [had] passed away & there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared [like] a Bride for her Husband.] |
Your lips are like a scarlet thread & your speech is [beautiful.] Your temples are like a piece of pomegranate with your locks [of hair.] Your neck is like the Tower of David, [built] for an armory, [on which] 1,000 shields & the [armor] of mighty men hang. |
Your two breasts are like young [gazelles] that are twins, [that] feed among the lilies. The shadows flee away until daybreak. I will [go] to the mountain of myrrh & the hill of frankincense. |
You are [attractive,] my love, there is no [blemish within] you. Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse & look from the top Shenir & Hermon, from the lion's dens & from the mountains of the leopards. |
[Revelation 21:10-12 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great & high mountain & [showed] me that great city, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. And her light was [similar to] a most precious stone, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.] |
You have ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse. You have ravished my heart with one [look] of your eyes & your neck, with one chain. How [appealing] is your love, my sister, my spouse! How much better is your love than wine! And [how much better is] the [fragrance] of your ointments, than all [the] spices! |
O my spouse, your lips [drip like] the honeycomb. Honey & milk are under your tongue & the [aroma] of your garments is like the [aroma] of Lebanon. My sister, my spouse is [like] an [enclosed private] garden & spring shut [off] & a fountain [capped.] |
Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits, [henna blooms, with spikenard. Spikenard, [a.k.a. similar to honeysuckle] & saffron, [a.k.a. like crocus,] calamus, [a.k.a. the aromatic reed] & cinnamon, with all the trees with all the [best] spices of: frankincense, myrrh & aloes. |
A fountain of [the] gardens, a well of Living Waters & streams from Lebanon. [Revelation 22:16–17 I, Jesus, have sent [My] Angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I Am the Root & the Offspring of David & the Bright & Morning Star. |
And the Spirit & the Bride say, Come. And let him [who hears] say, Come. And let him [who is thirsty,] come. And [whoever is willing,] let him take the Water of Life freely.] |
O North wind, awake & you come south. Blow upon my garden, [so] that the [fragrance of] the spices may flow out [of it.] Let my beloved come into his garden & eat His pleasant fruits. |
Psalm 145:1-21 Book# 5 of Psalms
David's Psalm of Praise. |
Psalm 145:1-21 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
I will [praise] You, O my God & King & I will bless Your Name forever & ever. Everyday, I will bless You & I will praise Your Name forever & ever. The Lord is great & greatly to be praised & His greatness is unsearchable. |
[Job 5:8-10 [As for me,] I would seek God & I would [give] my [case] to God, [Who] does great, unsearchable & marvelous things, without number. Who gives rain upon the earth & sends waters upon the fields.] |
One generation shall praise Your works to another & shall declare Your mighty acts. [Psalm 89:8-11 O Lord God of Hosts, Who is a strong Lord [similar] to You? Or [similar] to Your faithfulness, [which encircles] You? You rule the raging sea: when [its] waves arise, You [calm] them. |
You have broken Rahab [to] pieces, [like] one [who] is [killed.] You have scattered Your enemies with Your strong arm. The heavens are Yours & the earth also is Yours. As for the world & the fulness [of it,] You have [formed] them.] |
I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty & of Your wondrous works. And men shall speak of the [strength] of Your [terribly awesome] acts & I will declare Your greatness. |
[Exodus 14:21-22 And Moses stretched out his hand over the [Red] Sea & the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night & made the sea dry land & the waters were divided. And the children [people] of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground & the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand & on their left.] |
They shall abundantly [express] the memory of Your great goodness & shall sing of Your righteousness. [Exodus 14:30-31 The Lord saved Israel [like this] that day, out of the hand of the Egyptians & Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the seashore. |
And Israel saw that great work [that] the Lord did upon the Egyptians & the people feared [respected] the Lord & believed the Lord & His servant, Moses.] |
The Lord is gracious & full of compassion; slow to anger & of great mercy. The Lord is good to all & His tender mercies are over all His works. [Psalm 107:21-22 Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness & His wonderful works to the children of men! And let them [offer] sacrifices of thanksgiving & declare His works with rejoicing.] |
All Your works shall praise You, O Lord & Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom & talk of Your power; to make known His mighty acts & the glorious majesty of His kingdom known to the sons of men. |
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom & Your dominion endures throughout all generations. [Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, Who is the faithful Witness & the 1st begotten [from] the dead & the Prince of kings of the earth. |
Unto Him, [Who] loved us & washed us from our sins in His Own blood. And has made us kings & priests to God & His Father; to Him be glory & dominion forever & ever. Amen.] |
The Lord [sustains] all [who] fall & raises up all those [who are] bowed down. [Psalm 146:8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises [up those who are hunched over.] |
The eyes of all wait upon You & You give them their [food] in due season. [Psalm 136:25-26 Who gives food to all flesh; for His mercy endures forever. O give thanks to the God of heaven: for His mercy endures forever.] |
You open Your hand & satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways & Holy in all His works. The Lord is [near] to all [those who] call upon Him in truth. [John 4:24 God is a Spirit & [those who] worship Him, must worship Him in spirit & in truth.] |
He will fulfill the desire of [those who] fear [respect] Him. He also will hear their [out] cry & will save them. The Lord [saves] all [those who] love Him: but all the wicked, He will destroy. My mouth shall speak praise of the Lord & let all flesh bless His Holy Name forever & ever. |

Psalm 144:1-15 Book# 5 of Psalms
A Psalm of David. |
Psalm 144:1-15 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
Blessed be the Lord, my strength, [Who] teaches my hands to war & my fingers to fight. And He in Whom I trust [is:] my goodness, my fortress, my high tower, my deliverer, my shield. He, Who subdues my people under me. [Psalm 18:47 It is God, [Who] avenges me & subdues the people under me.] |
Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him! Or the son of man, that You [consider] Him! [Psalm 8:4-6 What is man, that You are mindful of him? And the Son of Man, that You visited Him? |
For You have made Him a little lower than the Angels & have crowned Him with glory & honor. *You made Him to have [authority] over the works of Your hands. You have put all things under His feet.] |
Man is [similar to vanity.] His days are [like] a shadow that [fades] away. Bow Your heavens [down,] O Lord & come down & touch the mountains & they shall smoke. [Exodus 19:17-19 And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God. And they stood at the [lowest] part of the [mountain.] |
And Mount Sinai was [totally smoking,] because the Lord [came down] upon it in fire. An [its] smoke [went up like] the smoke of a furnace & the whole [mountain ] quaked greatly. And when the [sound] of the trumpet sounded long & grew louder & louder, Moses [spoke] & God answered him [with] a voice.] |
Cast [out] lightning & scatter them. Shoot out Your arrows & destroy them. [Psalm 18:13-14 The Lord also thundered in the heavens & the Highest gave His voice & hail stones & coals of fire. [Yes,] He sent out His arrows & scattered them. And He shot out [lightning & disoriented] them.] |
Send Your hand from above & [rescue] me & deliver me out of [large] waters & from the hand of [foreign] children [people;] whose mouth speaks [what is] vanity & their right hand is the right hand of falsehood. [Proverbs 17:18 A man [without] understanding [shakes] hands & becomes [a guarantee] in the presence of his friend.] |
O God, I will sing a new song to You, upon a [harp] & a 10 [stringed lyre,] I will sing praises to You. It is He, [Who] gives Salvation to kings & Who delivers David, His servant, from the [harmful] sword. |
[Rescue] me from the hand of [foreign] children [people,] whose mouth speaks [what is] vanity & their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: that our sons may be [like] plants, grown up [from] their youth. That our daughter may be [like] cornerstones, polished [similar to those] of a palace. |
That our [barns] may be full, [providing all types of produce. That our [sheep's] [wool] may bring forth 1,000's & 10,000's [of income] in our streets. That our oxen may be strong [for] labor. |
That there [is] no breaking in, nor going out [to war.] That [there's] no complaining in our streets. Happy [are those] people, [who are] in such a [situation.] [Yes,] happy [are those] people, whose God is the Lord. |
Psalm 143:1-12 Book# 5 of Psalms
A Psalm [by] David. |
Psalm 143:1-12 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
O Lord, hear my prayer. [Lend Your] ear [& listen] to my [prayers.] Answer me in Your faithfulness & in Your righteousness. And [don't] enter into judgment with Your servant; for no living man shall be justified in Your sight. |
For the enemy has persecuted my soul. He has [struck] my life down to the ground. He has made me dwell in darkness, [like] those [who] have long been dead. Therefore, my spirit is overwhelmed within me. Within me, my heart is [lonely.] |
I remember the days of old. I [think about] all Your works & I [ponder] the work of Your hands. [Exodus 14:21-22 And Moses stretched out his hand over the [Red] Sea. |
And the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night & made the sea dry land & the waters were divided. And the children [people] of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground & the waters were a wall to them on their right hand & on their left.] |
I stretch [out] My hands to You. My soul thirsts after You, [like] a thirsty land. Selah. [Revelation 22:16-17 I, Jesus, have sent [My] Angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I Am the Root & the Offspring of David & the Bright & Morning Star. |
And the Spirit & the bride say, Come. And let him [who hears] say, Come. And let him [who] is [thirsty,] come. And [whoever is willing,] let him take the Water of Life freely.] |
O Lord, hear me speedily. My spirit fails. [Don't] hide Your face from me, lest I [am] like [those who] go down into the pit. [Psalm 30:3 O Lord, You have brought My soul up from the grave. You have kept me alive, [so] that I shouldn't go down to the pit.] |
[Make it possible for] me to hear Your loving kindness in the morning: for I do trust in You. Cause me to know the [path in which] I should walk; for I lift up my soul to You. O Lord, deliver me from [my] enemies. I flee to You to hide me. Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God. |
Your Spirit is good. Lead me into the land of [the upright.] [Revive] me, O Lord, for Your Name's sake. Bring my soul out of trouble: for Your righteousness' sake. [In] Your mercy, cut off [my] enemies & destroy all [those who] afflict my soul: For I am Your servant. |
[Psalm 54:5 He shall reward evil to [my] enemies & cut them off [by] Your Truth.] |

Psalm 142:1-7 Book# 5 of Psalms
A Prayer when David was in a Cave: a Maschil, [a.k.a. Maskil.] |
Psalm 142:1-7 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
I cried [out] to the Lord with My voice & I [made] My [requests] to the Lord with My voice. I poured out My complaint before Him & I [declared] My [troubles] before Him. When My spirit was overwhelmed within Me, then You knew My path. |
[Luke 22:40-44 And when He was at the place, He said to them, Pray [so] that you [don't] enter into temptation. And He was about a stone's [throw away] & kneeled down & prayed, saying, Father, if You [are] willing, remove this cup from Me. Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done. |
And there appeared an Angel to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. And His sweat was [like] it were [large] drops of blood falling down to the ground.] |
They have [secretly] laid a snare for Me in the [road] I walk in. I looked on My right hand [side] & [saw,] there was no man [who] would [acknowledge] Me. No man cared for My soul & refuge failed Me. |
[*Isaiah 53:2-5 For He shall grow up before Him, [like] a tender plant & [like] a root out of dry ground. He has no [pleasing] form, nor [attractiveness.] And when we shall see Him, there is no beauty, that we should desire Him. He is despised & rejected [by] men. A man of sorrows & acquainted with grief. |
And we hid, [like] it were our faces from Him. He was despised & we [didn't hold] Him [in high regard.] Surely, He has borne our griefs & carried our sorrows. |
Yet, we [didn't respect] Him, [suffering, struck] & afflicted [by] God. But He was wounded for our [sins] & bruised for our iniquities. The [discipline] for our peace was upon Him. And with His stripes, we are healed.] |
I cried [out] to You, O Lord. I said, You are My refuge & My portion in the land of the living. [Take care of] My [out] cry; for I am brought very low. Deliver me from My persecutors: for they are stronger than I. |
[*Mark 15:1-3 And [immediately] in the morning, the chief priests [consulted] with the elders, scribes & the whole counsel & bound Jesus & carried Him away & delivered Him to Pilate. And Pilate asked Him, Are You the King of the Jews? And He said, You say it. *And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing.] |
Bring My soul out of prison, [so] that I may praise Your Name. [Mark 15:17-20 And they clothed Him with purple & [wove] a crown of thorns & put it on His head & began to salute Him, Hail, King of the Jews! And they [struck] Him on the head with a reed & they spit upon Him & bowing their knees, worshiped Him. And when they had mocked Him, they took off the purple from Him & put His own clothes on Him & led Him out to crucify Him.] |
The righteous shall [surround around] Me. For You shall deal bountifully with Me. [Revelation 3:20-22 [Watch,] I stand at the door & knock. If any man [hears] My voice & [opens] the door, I will come in to him & will [dine] with him & he with Me. |
To him, [who] overcomes, I will grant to sit with Me [on] My throne, even as I also overcame & Am set down with My Father [on] His throne. He [who has] an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.] |

Psalm 141:1-10 Book# 5 of Psalms
A Psalm of David. |
Psalm 141:1-10 Book# 5 of Psalms [in Smaller Chunks] |
I cry [out] unto You, Lord. [Hurry] to me & [lean Your] ear & [listen] to my voice, when I cry [out] to You. Let my prayer be [put] before You [like] incense. And [let] the lifting of my hands [be like] the evening sacrifice. [1 Timothy 2:8 Therefore, I [want] that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without [anger] & doubting.] |
O Lord, [put a guard in front of] my mouth & keep the [doors] of my lips. [Don't let] my heart [lean toward] any evil thing, or practice wicked [deeds] with men, [who] work [sinfully.] And [don't] let me eat of their [delicacies.] |
[If I should do so:] let the righteous [strike] me. It shall be a kindness. And let him [scold] me. It shall be [like] an excellent oil, which shall not break my head. [Still,] my prayers shall also be [with them] in their calamities. |
[Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be [caught] in a fault, [those who] are spiritual, restore such a [person,] in the spirit of [humbleness] & [examine] yourself, lest you also be tempted.] |
When their judges are overthrown in [rocky] places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, [like] when [someone splits open] & cuts wood upon the [ground, is scattered.] But [my] eyes are [focused on] You, O God, the Lord. |
My trust is in You. [Don't] leave my soul destitute. Keep me from the snares [that] they have laid for me & the [traps] of [those who] work [sinfully.] Let the wicked fall into their own nets, [while] I, [at the same time,] escape. |
