About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Exodus 38:1-31 Making the Bronze Altar According to the Lord’s Intelligent Design

Making the Bronze Altar According to the Lord’s Intelligent Design

Exodus 38:1-31            The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus

[Bezaleel, the artisan] made the square altar [for the] burnt offerings of shittim wood 5 cubits [long] x 5 cubits [wide] x 3 cubits [high]. He made 4 horns, 1 for each corner which were of [1 piece with the altar] & he overlaid it with brass. He made all the vessels [utensils] for the altar: the pots, shovels, [basins,] flesh hooks [forks,] firepans; all made of brass.

He made a grate of brass network for the altar, under [its rim, midway from the bottom.] He cast 4 rings for the 4 [corners] of the brass [grating as holders] for the [poles] that he made of shittim wood & overlaid them with brass. [Then,] he put the [poles] into the rings on the side of the altar to [carry] it.

He made the altar hollow with boards. He made the [basin] & [its base] of brass, from the brass [mirrors] of the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. He made for the [courtyard:] on [both] the south & north [sides,] hangings of fine [woven] linen hangings [each a] 100 cubits [long.]

[Each of those 2 sides had] 20 pillars for them & their 20 brass sockets. The hooks of the pillars & [its bands] were silver. The east & west sides each had hangings of 50 cubits with 10 pillars & 10 sockets. The hooks of the pillars & their [bands] were of silver.

The hangings for the west side of the [courtyard] were 50 cubits [long] & their 10 pillars & their 10 sockets & the [pillars’] hooks & their [bands were] of silver. And 50 cubits for the east side. The hangings of 1 side of the gate were 15 cubits, [with] their 3 pillars & 3 sockets. And for the other side of the [courtyard] gate, on the [right & the left] hand [sides], were hangings of 15 cubits, their 3 pillars & their 3 sockets. All the hangings of the [courtyard] were of fine [woven] linen. The sockets for the pillars were of bass. The [pillars’] hooks & their [bands] were silver & [its] [capitals] & the [bands] of the pillars [were overlaid with] silver.

The hanging [screen] for the gate of the [courtyard] was needlework of blue, purple & scarlet [thread] & fine [woven] linen 20 cubits [long] x 5 cubits [wide, corresponding] to the hangings of the [courtyard.] And their 4 pillars & their 4 brass sockets, their hooks [were] of silver & their [capitals] & their [bands were overlaid with] silver.

And all the [pegs] of the Tabernacle & the [courtyard all around] were brass. This is the [total inventory] of the Tabernacle, even of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, was counted according to the commandment of Moses for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, [Aaron’]s son, [who was] the priest.

Bezaleel, the son of Uri, [who] was the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the Lord [had] commanded Moses. And with him, Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver & [designer & an] embroiderer [of] blue, purple & scarlet [thread] & of fine linen.

All the gold [offered] that was [used] in the work of the Holy Place, even the gold of the offering, was 29 talents, and  730 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

The silver [counted from those who] were of the congregation was 100 talents, and 1,775 shekels, [according to] the shekel of the sanctuary. [This was from] every man from 20 years old & above of 603,550 men [who gave] a bekah each which is ½ a shekel, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

[From] the 100 talents of silver, 100 sockets were cast: the sockets of the sanctuary & the sockets of the [veil.] One talent of silver was used for each socket, [totalling] 100 talents. [From] the 1,775 shekels [of silver,] he made hooks for the pillars & overlaid the hooks & [capitals with silver] & made [silver] [bands] for them.

The offering of brass was 70 talents, and 2,400 shekels [which were used to make] the sockets [for] the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation, the brass altar, the brass [grating] for it & all the vessels [utensils] for the altar & the sockets for the [courtyard all around,] the sockets [for the courtyard] gate & all the [pegs] for [both] the Tabernacle & the [courtyard all around.]

Making the Ark of the Lord for the Tabernacle According to the Lord’s Plan

Exodus 37:1-29            The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus

Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood 2½ cubits [long] x 1½ cubits [wide] x 1½ cubits [high.] He overlaid it [inside & outside] with pure gold & made a crown [moulding] of gold [all around] it & he cast 4 gold rings, 2 for the [2] corners on 1 side & 2 [for] the other side.

He made [poles] of shittim wood & overlaid them with gold & put the [poles] into the rings, [on] the side of the ark to [carry] the ark. He made a mercy seat of pure gold 2½ cubits [long] x  1½ cubits [wide] & made 2 cherubim [angels] of beaten gold [that were to] be 1 piece with the mercy seat & went on [either end] of the mercy seat.

The cherubims spread out their wings above & covered the mercy seat with their wings. [They faced] one another & their faces [were toward] the mercy seat. He made vessels [utensils] which were on the table: dishes, spoons, bowls [that go on] the table of pure gold & their gold covers to cover [them.] He made the candlestick of pure gold of [hammered] work & [its] shaft, [branches,] bowls, [its decorative knobs] & [its] flowers were [all] of [one piece.]

6 branches [came] out of [its] sides, 3 [of those] branches on [each of opposite sides.] [There were] 3 bowls made [like] almonds in [each] branch, with a [decorative knob] & flower, [this way] throughout  the 6 branches going out of the candlestick.

[On] the candlestick were 4 bowls made like almonds, [each with its decorative knobs] & flowers. [There was] a knob under the [1st] 2 branches of the same, a [knob] under the [2nd] 2 branches of the same & a [knob] under the [3rd] 2 branches of the same, according to the 6 branches [extending] out [from the candlestick.]

The [knobs] & branches were all of [1 piece] of pure [hammered] gold. He made [its] 7 lamps, [its] snuffers & [its] snuffdishes of pure gold. Exodus 36:1-38 Making the Things for the Tabernacle According to the Lord’s Intelligent Design

Making the Things for the Tabernacle According to the Lord’s Intelligent Design

Exodus 36:1-38            The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus

Then Bezaleel, Aholiab & every [skilled] artisan [fashioned,] in whom the Lord [God] put wisdom & understanding to know how to do all [types] of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all the Lord had commanded.

And Moses called Bezaleel, Aholiab & every wise hearted [person,] in whose heart, the Lord put wisdom, even everyone whose heart [was] stirred to come do the work. And they received [from] Moses all the [freewill] offerings which the children of Israel [Israelites] had brought for the work of [making] the sanctuary & they [continued] to [bring them] every morning.

And all the [skilled] men who [fashioned & were doing] all the work of the sanctuary, [left] his work & came & [spoke] to Moses, saying, The people [have brought] much more than enough [items to do] the work which the Lord has commanded to [be made.]

Moses proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more [offerings for] the work of sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing [any more.] For the stuff they had was [more than] sufficient for [them] to make all the work & [it] was too much.

Every [skilled] artisan among them [who fashioned] the work on the Tabernacle made 10 curtains 28 cubits [long] x 4 cubits [wide,] each of fine [woven] linen & purple, blue & scarlet [thread] with cherubim [angels] & [were] made of [skillful] work. The curtains were all [the same] size. He coupled [each of 2 sets of] 5 curtains were coupled to one another & the loops held one curtain to another.

50 loops of blue yarn were made on the selvedge edge [of 1 set of 5 curtains] & 50 loops on the [outer] edge of the other [set of 5 curtains.] 50 [clasps] of gold were made which coupled [each set of 5 curtains to the other set of curtains] that it became one Tabernacle.

He made 11 curtains [each:] 30 cubits [long] x 4 cubits [wide] of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle. He coupled 5 curtains [together] & made 50 loops on the [outermost] edge of [1 set of curtains & coupled the other] 6 curtains [together.]

He made 50 loops on the [outermost] edge of the 2nd [set of curtains & coupled both sets] together with the 50 brass [clasps] he made to couple the tent together, so that it might be one. Then he made a covering for the tent made of ram’s skins dyed red & a covering above that [were] made of badger’s skins.

For the Tabernacle, he made [upright] boards of shittim wood 10 cubits [long] x 1½ cubits [wide & each] board had 2 tenons, of [equal distance] from one another, [for binding] one to another. He made 20 boards for the south side & 20 for the north side of the Tabernacle & 40 sockets of silver for each side for the 2 tenons [underneath each of] the boards.

He made 6 [more] boards for the west side. He made 2 boards for the 2 [back] corners of the Tabernacle & they were coupled together at the [top] & the [bottom by] one ring for [the 2] corners. [So,] there were 8  boards and their sockets were 16 sockets of silver- 2 sockets under every board.

He made 5 bars of shittim wood for the boards [for each of the 3 sides] of the Tabernacle. He made the middle bar [pass] through the boards from one end to another. He overlaid [all] the boards & bars with gold & made their rings of gold to be [holders] for the bars.

He made a [veil] of blue, purple & scarlet [thread] & fine [woven] linen with an [artistic] work of cherubim [angels.] [For it,] he made 4 pillars of shittim wood & overlaid them with gold & [with] hooks of gold.

He cast 4 sockets of silver for them. He also made a hanging [screen] for the Tabernacle door of blue, purple & scarlet [thread]  & fine [woven] linen & needlework. The 5 pillars of it with their hooks, he overlaid their [capitals] & their [bands] with gold, but their 5 sockets were brass.

Exodus 35:1-35 Offerings of Materials to be Used for the Tabernacle

Offerings of Materials to be Used for the Tabernacle

Exodus 35:1-35            The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus

Then, Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel [Israelites] together & said to them, These are the words which the Lord has commanded, that you should do them.

[Work shall be done 6 days, but the 7th day shall be a holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord. [Whoever] does [any] work [on the Sabbath] shall be put to death. You shall not kindle a fire throughout your [dwellings] on the Sabbath day.

Moses spoke to all the congregation of [Israelites,] saying, This is the thing which the Lord commanded, saying, [Whoever] is of a willing heart, let him bring an offering to the Lord.

[Exodus 25:8-9 And let them make Me a sanctuary; [so] that I may dwell among them. You shall even make it, according to all that I [explained] to you [about] the pattern of the Tabernacle & the pattern of all [of its] instruments.]

[An offering to the Lord of:] gold, silver, brass; blue, purple & scarlet [thread;] fine linen & goat’s hair, ram skins dyed red & badger’s skins; shittim wood, oil for the light & spices for the anointing oil & for the sweet incense; onyx stones & stones to be set in the ephod [decorative vestment for the high priest] & [stones] in the breastplate.

Every [skilled] artisan among you shall come & make all that the Lord has commanded: the tabernacle, [its] tent, covering, [clasps,] boards, bars, pillars, sockets, the ark & [its poles,] with the mercy seat & the [veil] of the covering, the table & [its poles,] all [its] vessels [utensils] & the showbread;

also the candlestick for the light & [its] furniture [utensils,] [its] lamps & the oil for the light & the incense altar, [its poles,] the anointing oil, the sweet incense & the hanging [screen] for the door at the entrance of the tabernacle; the altar of burnt offering with [its] brass grate, [its] [poles,]

and all [its] vessels, [utensils] & the [basin] & [base]; the hangings of the [courtyard, its] pillars, their sockets & the hanging [screen] for the door of the [courtyard;] the [pegs] of the Tabernacle, the [pegs] of the [courtyard] & their cords,

the [clothing] of service for [ministering] in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron, the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office. And all the congregation of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

Everyone whose heart stirred him & had a willing spirit, brought the Lord’s offering to [do] the work of the Tabernacle of the congregation & for all His service & for the holy garments.

Both men & women came, as many as [had] a willing heart & they brought: bracelets, earrings, rings, tablets, all [jewelry] of gold, offered [as] an offering of gold to the Lord. [Everyone who had these] brought: blue, purple & scarlet [thread,] fine linen & goat’s hair, red skins of rams & badger’s skins.

[Those who had these items &] offered the Lord’s offering, brought: silver & brass & shittim wood for any work of the service. The women [who] were [skilled artisans, spun] with their hands & brought [what] they had spun: blue, purple, scarlet & fine linen.

And all the women whose [hearts] were stirred [with] wisdom, spun [yarn] of goat’s hair. The rulers brought onyx stones & stones to be set [in] the ephod & for the breastplate & spice & oil for the light & for the anointing oil & for sweet incense.

The children of Israel brought a willing offering to the Lord, every man & woman whose hearts were willing to bring [materials] for all [kinds] of work, which the Lord had commanded to be made, [under the supervision of] Moses.

And Moses said to [Israelites,] See, the Lord has called Bezaleel, the son of Uri, [who] is the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah & [the Lord God] has filled [Bezaleel] with the Spirit of God, in wisdom & understanding, in knowledge,

and all [types] of workmanship to [design artistic] works, to work in gold, silver & brass, in cutting stones, to set them & in carving wood & to make any [type] of [artistic] workmanship. [The Lord God] has put in his [Bezaleel’s] heart to teach & also in Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

[The Lord God] has filled them with [skillful hearts] of wisdom, to [make] all [types] of work: of the engraver & [designer] & the embroiderer, in blue, purple & scarlet [thread] & fine linen & of the weaver, even of those who do every work & those who [design] artistic [works.]

Exodus 34:1-35 God Writes on 2 New Tablets of Stone

God Writes on 2 New Tablets of Stone

Exodus 34:1-35            The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus

The Lord said to Moses, [Cut] 2 [tablets] of stone like the 1st [ones] & I will write [on these] the words like the 1st [tablets] which you [broke.] [Exodus 32:15-19 And Moses turned & went down from the [mountain] & the 2 [tablets] of the Testimony were in his [hands.] The [tablets] were written on both [of] their sides. On the 1 side & the other, they were written on. and the [tablets] were the work of God & the writing was the writing of God, [engraved] upon the [tablets.]

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people, as they shouted, he said to Moses, There is a [sound like of] war in the camp. And [Joshua] said, It isn’t the [sound of those who’ve been] overcome: but the [sound] of [those who] sing, I hear. And it [happened,] as soon as [Moses] came [close] to the camp & he saw the [gold] calf & the dancing, Moses’ anger [grew] hot & he cast the [tablets] out of his hands & [broke] them beneath the mount.

Be ready in the morning & come up into Mount Sinai & present yourself there to Me on the top of the [mountain.] No man shall come up with you or be seen throughout the [mountain & no flocks nor herds should feed before the [mountain.]

Moses [cut] 2 [new tablets] of stone like the 1st [ones] & went early up Mount Sinai [with them] in his hands, as the Lord commanded. The Lord descended in the cloud & stood with [Moses] there & proclaimed the Name of the Lord. And the Lord passed before [Moses] & proclaimed:

The Lord, the Lord God, merciful & gracious, long suffering & abundant in goodness & truth, keeping mercy for 1,000’s, forgiving iniquity, transgression & sin & [Who] by no means [clears] the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children & the children’s children to the 3rd & 4th generation.

Moses [quickly] bowed his head toward the earth & worshiped & said, If I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let My Lord, I pray You, go among us, for it is a stiff-necked [stubborn] people & pardon our iniquity & take us for Your inheritance.

[The Lord] said, Behold, I make a covenant [contract] before all your people & I will do marvels, [which] haven’t been done in all the earth, nor in any nation & all the people [around them] shall see the work of the Lord: for it is a terrible [& awesome] thing I will do with you.

Observe what I command you [today.] Behold, I am driving out before you the: Canaanite, Hittite, Amorite, Perrezite, Hivite & Jebusite. [Pay attention] lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land [where] you [are going,] lest it [become] a snare in [your] midst.

You shall destroy their altars, break their images & cut down their groves. For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

[Exodus 20:3-5 You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make any [carved] image [for yourself,] or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I, the Lord, your God, Am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children [until] the 3rd & 4th generation of [those who] hate Me.]

Lest you make a covenant [contract] with the inhabitants of the land & they [act like an unfaithful harlot,] going after their gods & [sacrificing] to their gods & [someone] calls [& invites] you & you eat of his sacrifice.

[Ezekiel 23:37 That they have committed adultery & [bloodshed] is [on] their hands & they have committed adultery with their idols & have also caused their sons whom they [bore] to Me, for them to pass the through the fire, to devour them.]

And you take of their daughters [to be] your sons’ [wives] & their daughters [act like unfaithful harlot] after their gods & make your sons [act like an unfaithful harlot] after their gods. You shall make no molded gods for [yourselves.]

[Exodus 32:8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way [that] I have commanded them. They have made [themselves a molded] calf & have worshiped it & have sacrificed [to it] & said, These [are] your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.]

You shall [continue] to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread & you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, for 7 days [in] the month of Abib. For in the month of Abib you came out [of] Egypt.

All that open the [womb] are Mine, every [firstborn] male [of] your [livestock]: ox or sheep, but the firstborn [donkey] you shall redeem with a lamb, [but] if you don’t redeem [the donkey] you shall break [its] neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem & none shall appear before Me empty [handed.]

6 days you shall work, but on the 7th day you rest in [plowing] & harvest time. You shall observe the Feast of Weeks, of the firstfruits of [the] wheat harvest & the Feast of Ingathering, at the year’s end. [Three times a] year all your [men] shall appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel.

For I will cast out the nations before you & enlarge your borders & if you go up before the Lord, your God, [3 times a] year, neither will any man desire your land. You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leaven [with yeast,] neither shall the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover [meat] be left until morning.

You shall bring the firstfruits of your land to the house of the Lord, your God & you shall not [boil] a kid [goat] in its mother’s milk. The Lord said to Moses, Write these [instructions,] for they [represent the terms] of the covenant I have made with you & with Israel.

[Moses] was with the Lord 40 days & nights. [Moses] neither [ate] bread, nor [drank] water. [The Lord God] wrote on the [tablets] the words of the covenant, the 10 Commandments.

And it [happened,] when Moses had the 2 [tablets] of the Testimony in his hand, when he came down from [Mount Sinai,] Moses [didn’t know] that the skin of his face [glowed] while he talked with [the Lord God.] When Aaron & all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, his face [glowed] & they were afraid to come [near] him.

Moses called to them, and Aaron & all the rulers of the congregation returned to him & Moses talked with them. Afterwards, the children of Israel came [near.] [Moses] gave them the [commandments of] all the Lord had spoken with him on Mount Sinai. And [until] when [Moses finished] speaking with them, [Moses] put a [veil] on his face.

Moses took off his [veil] when he went in before the Lord to speak with Him. [Moses kept] the [veil] off, until he came out.  And [Moses] came out & spoke to the children of Israel [what] he was commanded. [Whenever] the children of Israel saw [Moses’s] face, the skin of his face [glowed,] Moses [would] put the veil on his face again, until he went to speak with [the Lord God.]

Exodus 33:1-23 The Lord Shows Moses His Glory

The Lord Shows Moses His Glory

Exodus 33:1-23            The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus

The Lord said to Moses, Depart & go up with the [Israelites] you had brought out of the land of Egypt, to [go to] the land [that] I swore to Abraham, Isaac & Jacob saying, I will give it to your [descendants.]

And I will send an Angel before you & I will drive out the Canaanite, Amorite, Hittite, Perizzite, Hivite & the Jebusite, to [go to] a land flowing with milk & honey; for I will not go up in [your] midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked [stubborn] people.

The people mourned when they heard [this] evil [news] & no one put on his ornaments, because the Lord said to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, You are a stiff-necked [stubborn] people & I will come up into your midst in a moment & consume you.

Therefore, [take] off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you. The children [people] of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by Mount Horeb [a.k.a. Mount Sinai.] Moses took the tabernacle & pitched it [outside] the camp, [far] from [it] & called it the Tabernacle of the congregation.

It [happened,] that everyone [who] sought the Lord, went out to the Tabernacle of the congregation [outside] the camp. It [happened,] that the people [would rise] up & [stand] in their tent door whenever Moses [went] into the tabernacle.

It [happened,] as Moses entered the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended & stood at the door of the tabernacle & the Lord talked with Moses. And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door & all the people rose up & [everyone] worshiped in [their] tent door.

The Lord [spoke] face to face [with] Moses, [like] a man speaks to his friend. [Moses] returned to camp, but his servant, Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, didn’t depart [from] the tabernacle.

Moses said to the Lord, See, You said to me, Bring up this people, [but] you have not let me know [whom] you will send with me. Yet you have said, I know you by name & you have also found grace in My sight.

Therefore, if I have now found grace in Your sight, I pray [that] You show me Your way now, [so] that I may know You & I may find grace in Your sight & consider that this nation is Your people. [The Lord God] said to [Moses,] My Presence shall go with you & I will give you rest.

[Moses] said, If Your presence [doesn’t] go up with us, [don’t send] us up [from here.] [How] shall  it be known that Your people & I have found grace in Your sight? [If] You [don’t] go with us, [what will set us apart] from all the [other] people on the face of the earth?

The Lord said to Moses, I will also do this thing that you have spoken, [because] you have found grace in My sight & I know you by name. Moses [asked the Lord,] I [urge] You, [to] show me Your glory. [The Lord] said, I will make all My goodness pass before you & I will proclaim the Name of the Lord before you.

And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious & I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. [The Lord] said, You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me & live. The Lord said, [Look,] there is a place by Me & you shall stand upon a rock.

[It happened,] while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the [cleft] of the rock & [I] will cover you with My hand while I pass by. [Then] I will take away [My] hand & you will see My back parts, but My face shall not be seen.

Exodus 32:1-35 The Israelites Corrupting Themselves by Making a Golden Calf as a god

The Israelites Corrupting Themselves by Making a Golden Calf as a god

Exodus 32:1-35            The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus

When the people [of Israel] saw that Moses had delayed to come down out of  the [mountain, they] gathered together to Aaron & said to him, Make us gods which shall go before us, [because] we [don’t know] what [has] become of Moses, the man [who] brought us up out of the land of Egypt.

And Aaron said to them, Break off the golden earrings in the ears of your wives, your sons & your daughters & bring them to me. They [broke] off the golden earrings which were in their ears & brought them to Aaron.  [Aaron] received the [earrings from them] & fashioned it with an [carving] tool & after he had made a [molded] calf. And they said, These [are] your gods, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt.

[Psalm 106:19-22 They made a calf in Horeb [a.k.a. Sinai] & worshiped the [molded] image. [By this,] they changed their glory into the [resemblance] of an ox that eats grass. They [forgot] their God, their Savior, [Who] had done great things in Egypt. Wondrous [miracles] in the land of Ham & [awesome] things by the Red Sea.]

When Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it [the false god, calf.] Aaron made a proclamation & said, Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord. [The Israelites] rose early [the next day] & offered burnt offerings & brought peace offerings & the people sat down to eat & drink & rose up to play.

The Lord [God] said to Moses, Go, get down, for your people, which you brought out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. They have quickly turned [away] from the way which I commanded them & have made [themselves] a [molded] calf & have worshiped it & sacrificed [to it] & said, These are your gods, O Israel, [that] brought you out of the land of Egypt.

The Lord said to Moses, I have seen this people & behold, [it’s] a stiff-necked [stubborn] people. Therefore, let Me alone, [so] that My anger may [grow] hot against them & consume them. I will make of you a great nation.

Moses [pleaded with] the Lord, his God & [asked] Him, Lord, why does your [anger grow] hot against your people, which you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power & a mighty hand? [Why] should the Egyptians speak & say, He brought  [the Israelites] out for mischief, to slay them in the mountains, to consume them from the face of the earth?

Turn from Your fierce [anger & abandon] this [harm] against Your people.  Remember Abraham, Isaac & Israel, Your servants to whom You, Yourself swore & said, I will multiply your [descendants like] the stars of heaven & all this land, I have spoken of, I will give to your [descendants to] inherit forever.

The Lord [withdrew] from the [harm] He thought do to His people. Moses turned & went down the [mountain] with the 2 [tablets] of the Testimony in his [hands.] The [tablets] were written on both sides. On 1 side & the other they were written [on.] And the [tablets] were the work of God & the writing was the writing of God, [engraved] upon the [tablets.]

When Joshua heard the noise of the people [of Israel shouting,] he [told] Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp. And [Joshua] said, It's not the voice of [those who shout for victory,] neither is it the voice of [those] overcome [who] cry [out:] but I hear the [voices of those who] sing.

It [happened,] as soon as he came [near] the camp, [Moses] saw the [gold] calf & the dancing & Moses’ anger [grew] hot & he cast the [tablets] out of his hands & broke them at the [foot] of the [mountain.]

[Then, Moses] took the [gold] calf they had made & burned it in the fire & ground it to powder & he [scattered] it on the water & made the children of Israel drink it. Moses said to Aaron, What did this people do to you that you have brought [this large] sin on them?

Aaron said, [Don’t] let [your] anger [grow] hot. You know your people & they are set on [doing] mischief.  For they said to me, Make us gods, which shall go before us, [because] we [don’t know] what [has] become of Moses, the man [who] brought us up out of the land of Egypt.

And I said to them, [Whoever] has any gold, [should] break it off. So they gave it [to] me & I cast it [the gold] into the fire & [this] calf came out. When Moses saw the people were naked; (for Aaron had [allowed] them [to be] naked, to their shame among their enemies.)

Then, Moses stood in the [entrance] gate of the camp & said, [Whoever] is on the Lord’s side- come to me.  All the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him. And [Moses] said to them, The Lord God of Israel says [this,] Every man put his sword by his side & go in & out from gate to gate throughout the camp and let every man [kill] his brother, companion & his neighbor. [Jeremiah 1:16 And I will utter My judgments against them, [about] all their wickedness, [those who] have [abandoned] Me & have burned incense to other gods & worshiped the works [made] of their own hands.]

The children [people] of Levi did according to the word of Moses & about 3,000 men fell that day. [Then,] Moses said, Consecrate yourselves & your sons & brothers, so [the Lord] may [give] you a blessing this day.

It [happened the next day,] that Moses said to the people, You have committed a [large] sin & now I will go up to the Lord; [perhaps] I [can] make an atonement for your sin. [When] Moses returned to the Lord, [he] said, Oh, this people have [committed a large] sin & have made for them gods of gold.

Yet now, if You will forgive their [sins]-, but if not, blot me out of Your book You have written. The Lord said to Moses, [Whoever] has sinned against Me, I will blot Him out of My book.

[Revelation 3:5 He [who] overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white [clothing] & I won't blot out his name out of the Book of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father & before His Angels.]

Therefore, go now & lead [the Israelites] to the place I have spoken to you.

[Look,] My Angel shall go before you. [But on] the day when I visit, I will [punish] them.  The Lord plagued the people, because [of] the calf that Aaron made.

[Nehemiah 9:18-19 {Yet,] when they had made [themselves] a [molded] calf & said, This is your [god] that brought you up out of Egypt & had [formed] great [provoking sins.] Yet, You in Your [many] mercies, [didn't abandon] them in the wilderness. The pillar of the cloud [didn't] depart from them by day, to lead them in the [road;] neither [did] the fire by night [stop from showing] them light & the [path] they should go.]
