About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Jeremiah 44:1-30 After Being Warned by the Prophets, They Continued to Worship false gods

After Being Warned by the Prophets, They Continued to Worship false gods

Jeremiah 44:1-30                               The Book of Jeremiah [in Smaller Chunks]

The Word that came to Jeremiah [about] all the Jews, [who] dwell in the land of Egypt, [who live] in the land of: Migdol, Tahpanhes, Noph & the country of Pathros, saying, The Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says [this:] You have seen all the [calamity] that I have brought upon Jerusalem & all the cities of Judah.

And [see,] this day they are a desolation & no man [lives in them.] Because of their wickedness, in that they: went to burn incense & to serve other gods, whom they, [nor their forefathers] knew, which they have committed to provoke Me to anger.

[Jeremiah 19:4-5 Because they have [abandoned] Me & have [destroyed the affections] of this place & have burned incense in it to other gods, whom neither they, nor their [forefathers,] nor [Judah's] kings have known & have filled this place with the [bloodshed] of innocents.

They have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire, for burnt offerings to Baal, [that] I [didn't] command, nor [spoke] it, & neither [did] it come into My mind.]

[However,] I sent all My servants, the prophets, to you, rising early [to warn] & sending them, saying, Oh, don't [do] this abominable thing that I hate. But they [didn't pay attention,] nor [did they lean] their ear [to hear] & to turn [away] from their wickedness & to [not] burn incense to other gods.

[For this reason,] My fury & [My] anger was poured [out] & [grew] in [Judah's] cities & in the streets of Jerusalem. And they are [ruined] & desolate, [like it is] this day.

Therefore, the Lord God of Hosts, the God of Israel says [this] now; [Why did] you commit this great [sin] against your [lives,] to cut [yourselves] off from: man, woman, child & [nursing infants, from] Judah, to leave you none to remain?

In that, you provoke Me to [anger] with the works [made by] your hands & pouring incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, [where] you [have] gone to [live, so] that you might cut yourselves off & you might be a curse & a [disgrace] among the nations of the earth?

Have you forgotten the wickedness of: your [forefathers; Judah's] kings & their wives. And your own wickedness & the wickedness of your wives [that] they have committed in the land of Judah & in the streets of Jerusalem? They aren't humbled, even [until] this day.

Neither have they feared [respected,] nor [followed] in My Law, nor in My [mandates,] that I have [put] before you & your [forefathers.] Therefore, the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel says [this; Watch,] I will [put] My face against you for [catastrophe] & to cut off all Judah.

And I will take [those who remain from] Judah, [who] have [focused] their faces to go into the land of Egypt to [stay] there & they all shall be consumed & fall in the land of Egypt. They shall even be consumed by: the sword; famine & they shall die, from the [powerless] to the [powerful,] by the sword & famine.

And they shall be [detestable;] an astonishment; a curse & a [disgrace.] For I will punish [those who live] in the land of Egypt, [like] I have punished Jerusalem, by the: sword, famine & pestilence.

So, that none of [those remaining from] Judah, [who have] gone into the land of Egypt to [stay] there, shall escape or remain. [Except for those who want to] return into the land of Judah & [those who] have a desire to return & [live] there. For none shall return, but [those who] shall escape.

Then, all the men, [who] knew: that their wives had burned incense to other gods & all the [large] multitude of women, [who] stood by [& watched this,] even all the people, [who lived] in Pathros, in the land of Egypt, answered Jeremiah, saying, As for the Word that you have spoken to us in the Name of the Lord, we won't [pay attention] to you.

But we will [definitely] do, [whatever we say,] [whether] to burn incense to the queen of heaven [or] to pour out drink offerings to her, [like] we, our [forefathers,] kings & our princes have done in the cities of Judah & in the streets of Jerusalem.

For then, we had plenty of [food] & were well & saw no [disaster.] But since we [stopped burning] incense to the queen of heaven & [pouring] out drink offerings to her, we have [lacked] all things & have been consumed by: the sword & famine.

And without [the approval of] our men, we burned incense to the queen of heaven; poured out drink offerings to her; & we [made] her cakes & [poured] out drink offerings to worship her.

[Jeremiah 7:18-20 The children gather wood & the fathers [start] the fire & the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven & to pour out drink offerings to other gods, [so] that they may provoke Me to anger. The Lord says; Do they provoke Me to anger?

Don't they provoke themselves to [shame] on their own faces? The Lord God says [this;] Therefore, [watch, My] anger & My fury shall be poured out upon this: place; man; [animals;] trees of the field; & the fruit [produced by] the ground & it shall burn & shall not be [put out.]

Then, Jeremiah said to: all the people: to the men; women; & to all the people [who] had given him an answer, [Jeremiah said,] [Doesn't] the Lord remember the incense that you, your [forefathers,] your kings & your princes & the people of the land burned in [Judah's] cities & in the streets of Jerusalem? [Doesn't] it come to His mind?

[To the point] that the Lord could no longer [put up with it,] because of the evil of your [actions] & the abominations [that] you have committed. Therefore, your land is a desolation, an astonishment, & a curse, without an inhabitant, [like it is] this day.

Therefore, this [calamity has] happened to you, [like it is] this day, because you have burned incense & you have sinned against the Lord & haven't obeyed the voice of the Lord, nor [followed] in; His Law, His [mandates,] nor His Testimonies.

[Also,] Jeremiah said to all the people; to all the women, Hear the Word of the Lord, all Judah, [who] are in the land of Egypt. The Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says [this;] You & your wives have both spoken with your mouths & fulfilled [your vows] with your [hands,] saying, We will surely [carry out] our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven & to pour out drink offerings to her.

You will surely accomplish & [carry out] your vows. Therefore, all Judah, [who live] in the land of Egypt, hear the Word of the Lord; [Look,] I have sworn by My Great Name, says the Lord, that My Name shall no [longer] be [sworn by] the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord God lives.

[Hebrews 6:13-14 When God promised to Abraham, because [God] couldn't swear by [anything] greater, He [swore] by Himself, saying, Surely, in blessing, I will bless you & in multiplying, I will multiply you.]

[See,] I will watch over them for [adversity] & not for good. And all the men of Judah, [who] are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword & by famine, until there [is] an end of them. [Still,] a small number, [who shall] escape the sword, shall return out of the land of Egypt, into the land of Judah.

And all [those remaining from] Judah, [who have] gone into the land of Egypt to [stay] there, shall know Whose Words shall stand, Mine, or theirs. [Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say to you, Seek to [those who] have familiar spirits, [a.k.a. talking to the dead,] & to wizards, [who whisper] & mutter, shouldn't a people seek to their God? For the Living [not] to the dead?]

And the Lord says, This shall be a sign to you, that I will punish you in this place, [so] that you may know that My Words shall surely stand against you for [adversity.] [Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of His heart, to all generations.]

The Lord says [this; Look,] I will give Pharaoh Hophra, [Egypt's] king, into the hand of, [a.k.a. into the control of:] his enemies & into the hand of [those who] seek his life. [Like] I gave Zedekiah, [Judah's] king into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar, [a.k.a. Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon's] king, his enemy, [who] sought his life.

[2 Kings 25:5-7 And the army of the Chaldees, [a.k.a. Chaldeans & Babylonians,] pursued after king [Zedekiah] & overtook him in the Plains of Jericho. And all his army were scattered from him. So, they [captured] the king & brought him to [Babylon's] king, [in] Riblah. And they [pronounced] judgment upon him. And they [killed] [Zedekiah's] sons [in front of] his eyes & they put out [Zedekiah's] eyes & bought him with brass [chains] & carried him to Babylon.]

Jeremiah 43:1-13 The Proud Men of Judah Tell Jeremiah He's Speaking Falsely

The Proud Men of Judah Tell Jeremiah He's Speaking Falsely

Jeremiah 43:1-13                               The Book of Jeremiah [in Smaller Chunks]

And it [happened] when Jeremiah had [finished] speaking, all the Words of the Lord their God, to all the people, even all these Words, for which the Lord their God had sent [Jeremiah] to them.

Then, Azariah, [Hoshaiah's] son; Johanan, [Kareah's] son & all the proud men [spoke] to Jeremiah, saying, You speak falsely. The Lord our God hasn't sent you to say, [Don't] fo into Egypt to [stay] there.

But Baruch, [Neriah's] son, [puts] you against us, [in order] to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, [so] that they might carry us away [captive] into Babylon & put us to death.

So, Johanan, [Kareah's] son, & all the captains of the [troops] & all the people [didn't obey] the voice of the Lord, to [remain] in the land of Judah.

But, Johanan, [Kareah's] son & all the captains of the [troops,] took all [those remaining] of Judah, [who had] returned to dwell in the land of Judah, from all nations, [where] they had been driven.

Even: men; women; children; the king's daughters; & every person, [whom] Nebuzar Adan, the captain of the guard, had left with Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shaphan; [plus] Jeremiah, the prophet; & Baruch, [Neriah's] son. So they came into the land of Egypt, for they [didn't obey] the voice of the Lord.

They even came [like this] to Tahpanhes, [a city in Egypt.] Then, the Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying, Take [large rocks] in your hand, in the sight of the men of Judah & hide them in the clay [by the oven to make bricks, that] is at the [entrance] of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes.

And say to them, the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel says [this; Watch,] I will send & take Nebuchadrezzar, [a.k.a. Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon's] king, My servant & will [put] his throne upon these [rocks] that I have [hidden] & he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

[Jeremiah 25:9 The Lord of Hosts says, [Watch,] I will send & take all the families of the North & [Nebuchadnezzar, Babylon's] king, My servant & will bring them against: this land & the [residents of it] & the nations [around them] & will [totally] destroy them & make them an astonishment, [hissed at,] & [continually desolate.]

And when he comes, he shall [strike] the land of Egypt & deliver such as are [determined] for death, to death; and such as are [determined] for captivity, to captivity; and such as are [determined] for the sword, to the sword.

[Revelation 13:10 Here is the patience & the faith of the saints: He, [who] leads [others] into captivity, shall go into captivity. He, [who] kills with the sword, must be killed with the sword.]

And I will [start] a fire in the houses of [Egypt's] gods & he shall burn [the idols] & carry them away [captive.] And he shall [clothe] himself with the land of Egypt, [like] a shepherd puts on his [clothing.]

And he shall go [out] from [there] in peace. He shall also break the images of images of Beth Shemesh, that [are] in the land of Egypt & shall burn with fire the houses of the [Egyptian's] gods.

Jeremiah 42:1-22 Those Remaining in Judah Ask Jeremiah to Pray to the Lord God for Them

Those Remaining in Judah Ask Jeremiah to Pray to the Lord God for Them

Jeremiah 42:1-22                               The Book of Jeremiah [in Smaller Chunks]

Then, all the captains of the [troops;] Johanan, [Kareah's] son; Jezaniah, [Hoshaiah's] son; & all the people form the [powerless] to the [powerful] came near & said to Jeremiah, the prophet, We [beg that] you let our [request] be accepted before you & pray to the Lord your God for us, even for all [those remaining.]

For we are [only] but a few of many [left,] as your eyes do [see] us. [So,] that the Lord your God may [declare to] us the way [in which] we may [follow] & the thing that we may do.

Then, Jeremiah, the prophet, said to them, I have heard you. [See,] I will pray to the Lord your God according to your words. And it shall [happen,] that I will declare [to] you [whatever] the Lord shall answer you. I will keep nothing back from you.

Then, they said to Jeremiah, The Lord [is] a True & Faithful Witness between us. If we don't even [do] according to all [the] things [that] the Lord your God shall send to us [through] you, whether it's good or [bad,] we will obey the voice of the Lord our God.

And it [happened] after 10 days, that the Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah. Then, [Jeremiah] called Johanan, [Kareah's] son; all the captains of the [troops] with him; & all the people from the [powerless] to the [powerful.]

And [Jeremiah] said to them, the Lord, the God of Israel, to Whom you sent me to present your [request] before Him, says [this;] If you will still [stay] in this land, then I will build you [up] & not [tear] you down. And I will plant you & not pluck you up. For I [will withdraw from] the evil that I have done to you.

[Jeremiah 18:7-8 At what instant I should speak [about] a nation & a kingdom, to pluck [it] up & to [tear] it down & destroy it, if that nation, against whom I have announced [this,] turns from their evil, I will [withdraw from] the evil that I have thought to do to them.]

[Don't] be afraid of [Babylon's] king, of whom you are afraid. The Lord says, [Don't] be afraid of him, for I Am with you to save & deliver you from his hand. And I will [show] mercies to you, [so] that he may have mercy upon you & [have] you return to your own land.

But if you say, We won't dwell in this land & neither obey the voice of the Lord your God, [by] saying, No, we will go into the land of Egypt & we will dwell there, where we shall see nor war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger for [food.]

Therefore, now hear the Word of the Lord, you [remaining] of Judah, The Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel says [this;] If you [totally focus] your faces on [entering] into Egypt & to go to [stay] there; then it shall [happen,] that the sword, [that] you feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt.

And the famine, [of which] you were afraid, shall follow close after you, there in Egypt & you shall die there. So, it shall be with all the men, [who focus] their faces to go into Egypt to [stay] there. They shall die by the sword, famine & by pestilence.

And none of them shall remain or escape from the [disaster] that I will bring upon them. For the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel says [this;] As [My] anger & My fury has been poured [out] upon the [residents] of Jerusalem, so shall My fury be poured [out] upon you.

When you shall enter Egypt, you shall be [detestable,] an astonishment, a curse & a [disgrace] & you shall no [longer] see this place. The Lord has said [about] you, O you [remaining] of Judah; [Don't] you go into Egypt. Know [for certain] that I have [warned] you this day.

For you [pretended within] your hearts, when you sent me to the Lord your God, saying, Pray for us to the Lord our God & declare [it] to us & we will do, according to all that the Lord our God shall say.

And now I have declared it this day to you; but you haven't obeyed the voice of the Lord your God, nor anything which He has sent me to [tell] you. Therefore, now know [for certain] that you shall die by the sword, famine & pestilence, in the place [where] you desire to go & to [stay.]

Jeremiah 41:1-18 Although Forewarned, Gedaliah is Killed by Ishmael

Although Forewarned, Gedaliah is Killed by Ishmael

Jeremiah 41:1-18                               The Book of Jeremiah [in Smaller Chunks]

Now, it [happened during] the 7th month, that Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, [who was] the son of Elishama, [from] the royal seed & the [king's] princes & even 10 men came with [Ishmael] to Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [in] Mizpah. And they [ate] bread together there in Mizpah.

Then, Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, & the 10 men, [who] were with him, arose & with [swords, struck down] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shaphan, & killed [Gedaliah,] whom [Babylon's] king had made governor over the land. Also, Ishamel [killed] all the Jews, [who] were with [Gedaliah in] Mizpah & the Chaldeans & the men of war found there.

And it [happened on] the 2nd day, after he had [killed] Gedaliah & no man knew [about] it, that [some] 80 men came there from Shechem, Shiloh & Samaria, [with] their beards [shaved,] their clothes [torn] & [had] cut themselves & [had] offerings & incense in their [hands] to bring them to the [Lord's] house.

[Isaiah 22:12 And [on] that day, the Lord of Hosts, [called] to: weeping, mourning, baldness & [wearing] sackcloth.] And Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, went [out] from Mizpah, to meet them, weeping all along as he went.

And it [happened,] as he met them, [Ishmael] said to them, Come to Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son. And when they came into the [middle] of the city, it [happened] that Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, & the men, [who] were with him, [killed] them & [threw] them into the midst of the pit.

But [there] were 10 men found among them, who said to Ishmael, [Don't kill] us: [because] we have treasures in the field of: wheat, barley, oil & honey. So, [Gedaliah didn't kill] them among their brethren.

Now, the pit, [a.k.a. cistern, in which] Ishmael had [thrown] all the dead bodies of the men, whom [Ishmael] had [killed,] because of Gedaliah, was [the same one that] king Asa had made for fear of Baasha, [Israel's] king. And Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, filled it with [those who] were [killed.]

Then, Ishmael carried away captive: all the [rest] of the people, [who] were in Mizpah, even the king's daughters & all the people, [who] remained, [who were put under the control of] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [by] Nebuzar Adan, the captain of the guard.

And Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, carried them away captive & [left] to go over to the Ammonites.

But when Johanan, [Kareah's] son & all the captains of the [troops] with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, had done, they then took all the men & went to fight [against] Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son & found [Ishmael] by the great waters, [a.k.a. The Pool of Gibeon,] that [is] in Gibeon.

Now, it [happened,] that when all the [captive] people, [who] were with Ishmael saw Johanan, [Kareah's] son, & all the captains of the [troops] with him, then they were all glad.

So, all the people, [whom] Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah, [turned around] & went to Johanan, [Kareah's] son. But Ismael, [Nethaniah's] son, with 8 men, escaped from Johanan & went to the Ammonites.

Then, Johanan, [Kareah's] son, took all the captains of the [troops] with him & all the [rest] of the people from Mizpah, whom [Johanan had rescued] from Ishmael, [who had killed] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son.

[Johanan rescued in] Gibeon: even mighty men of war, women, children & eunuchs, [a.k.a. officers.] And they [left] & [temporarily stayed] in the habitation of Chimham, by Bethlehem, to go [on their way to] enter into Egypt.

[Since] they were afraid of the Chadeans, because Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, had [killed] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, whom [Babylon's] king [had] made governor in the land.

Jeremiah 40:1-16 The Captain of the Guard Released Jeremiah from Prison

The Captain of the Guard Released Jeremiah from Prison

Jeremiah 40:1-16                               The Book of Jeremiah [in Smaller Chunks]

The Word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after Nebuzar Adan, the captain of the guard, had let [Jeremiah] go from Ramah, when he had taken [Jeremiah] bound in chains, among all [who] were carried away captive [from] Jerusalem & Judah, to Babylon.

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah & said to him, The Lord your God has [declared disaster] on this place. Now, the Lord has brought it [about] & done [it] [like] He has said: because you have sinned against the Lord & haven't obeyed His voice. [That's why,] this thing [has happened] to you.

[Jeremiah 7:30-31 For the children of Judah have done evil in My sight, says the Lord. They have [put] their abominations in the house, which is called by My Name, to [defile] it. And they have built the high places of Tophet, [that] is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons & daughters in the fire, [that] I didn't command them, neither [did] it come into My heart.]

And now, [look,] I [loosen] you this day from the chains [that] were upon your [hands.] If it [seems] good to you to come with me into Babylon, come & I will look [after] you well.

But if it [seems bad] to you to come with me into Babylon, [don't go.] [See,] all the land is before you. [Where] it seems good & convenient for you to go, go [there.]

Now, while he [had] not gone back yet, [Nebuzar Adan] said, Also, [you could] go back to Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shapahn, whom [Babylon's] king, has made governor over [Judah's] cities & dwell with him among the people. Or go [wherever] it seems convenient to you to go.

So, the captain of the guard, gave [Jeremiah food] & [repayment] & let him go. Then, Jeremiah went to Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [in] Mizpah & dwelt with him, among the people [who] were left in the land.

Now, when all the captains of the [troops] in the fields, even they & their men heard that [Babylon's] king had made Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, the governor in the land & had [put in his control:] men, women, children & the poor of the land, of [those who] weren't carried away captive to Babylon.

Then, in Mizpah, [these] & all their men came to Gedaliah: even Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son; Johanan & Jonathan, [Kareah's] sons; Seraiah, [Tanhumeth's] son; & the sons of Ephai, the Netophathite & Jezaniah, the son of a Maachathite.

And Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shaphan, [swore] to them & their men, saying, [Don't be afraid] to serve the Chaldeans & dwell in the land & serve [Babylon's] king. It shall be well with you. [Look,] as for me, I will dwell [in] Mizpah, to serve the Chaldeans, [who] will come to us.

But you, gather [yourselves:] wine, summer fruits & oil & put them in your vessels & [live] in your cities that you have [captured.] [Also,] when all the Jews, [who] were in: Moab; among the Ammonites; & in Edom & were in all the countries, [that] heard [Babylon's] king had left [some remaining from] Judah & had put Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shaphan, over them & all the Jews returned, even out of all [the] places, [where] they were driven.

And [they] came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, [in] Mizpah & gathered very much: wine & summer fruits. [Additionally,] Johanan, [Koreah's] son, & all the captains of the [troops] that were in the fields, [also] came to Gedaliah, [in] Mizpah.

And [they] said to him, [Don't] you certainly know that Baalis, the [Ammonite's] king, has sent Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, to [kill] you? But Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [didn't] believe them.

Then, Johanan, [Kareah's] son, secretly [spoke] to Gedaliah, in Mizpah, saying, I pray [that] you let me go & I will [kill] Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, & no man shall know it.

[Why] should he [kill] you, [so] that all the Jews [who] are gathered to you, should be scattered & the [rest] in Judah, perish? But Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, said to Johanan, [Kareah's] son, You [shouldn't] do this thing: for you speak falsely of Ishmael.

[Jeremiah 41:2 Then, Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son & the 10 men, [who] were with him, arose & with a sword [struck] Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shaphan, & [killed] him, whom [Babylon's] king had made governor over the land.
