About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Genesis 17:1-27 God Renames Abram as Abraham

God Renames Abram as Abraham

Genesis 17:1-27                    The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him & said, I am the Almighty God; walk before Me & be perfect [without blame.] I will make My covenant between Me & you & will multiply you exceedingly. Abram fell on his face & God [said,] My covenant is with you & you shall be a father of many nations. Neither shall your name be Abram any more, but it shall be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations & I will make you [very] fruitful & will make nations of you & kings shall come [from] you.

*I will establish My covenant [contract] between Me & you & your [descendants] generations after you, for an everlasting covenant. to be a God to you & to your [descendants] after you. [Romans 9:7-9 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but In Isaac shall your seed be called. That is, [Those] which are the children of flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the Promise, [who are considered as] the seed. For this is the word of the Promise, At this time, I will come & Sarah shall have a son.]

And I will give to you & to your [descendants] after you, the land [where] you are [now] a stranger & all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession & I will be their God. And God said to Abraham, You shall keep My covenant [contract]. Therefore, you & your [descendants] after you [throughout] their generations. This is My covenant which you & your descendants shall keep [with] Me: Every [male] child 8 days old, shall be circumcised in the flesh of their foreskins as a sign of the everlasting covenant between Me & you, whether he is born in your house, or he is bought with money from strangers who aren’t your [descendants]. [He] must be circumcised & My covenant & shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant [contract.]

And the uncircumcised man, whose flesh of his foreskin isn't circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people. He has broken My covenant [contract.] And God [told] Abraham, As for Sarai, thy wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name & He said, *And I will bless her & will give you a son also by her & she will be a mother of nations & kings of peoples shall be from her.

[Genesis 35:11 And God said to [Jacob a.k.a. Israel,] I am God Almighty. Be fruitful & multiply. A nation & a [group] of nations shall be [from] you & kings shall come [from you.] And the land which I gave Abraham & Isaac & to you, I will give the land to your [descendants] after you.]

Then, Abraham fell on his face & laughed & said in his heart, Shall a child be born to a man 100 years old? Shall Sarah, [who] is 90 years old, bear [a child]? Abraham [thought God was talking about Ishmael.] And God said, Sarah, your wife, shall indeed bear you a son & you shall call his name: Isaac. I will establish My everlasting covenant with him & his [descendants] after him.

As for Ishmael, I have heard you. [See,] I have blessed him & will make him fruitful & will multiply him exceedingly. He will [father] 12 princes & I will make [by] him a great nation. But My covenant will be established with Isaac, [whom] Sarah will bear to you this time next year.

God went up from Abraham, when [the Lord God finished] talking with him. [So] Abraham took Ishmael, his 13 year old son & all who were born in his house & all who were bought with his money & circumcised every male among the men of Abraham's house, the [very same] day. Abraham was 99 years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin & his son, Ishmael, was 13 years old. [On] the same day [both] Abraham & Ishmael were circumcised & all the men of his house, [whether] born in his house & [those] bought with money [from] a stranger [along] with him.

Genesis 16:1-16 Sarai is Barren & Gives Abram Her Maid

Sarai is Barren & Gives Abram Her Maid to Have Children by Her

Genesis 16:1-16                    The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

Now, Sarai, Abram’s wife, [didn’t have any] children. And she had an Egyptian handmaid, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said to Abram, [Now look,] the Lord [held me back] from bearing [children.] I pray [that] you go to my maid [& be intimate, so] I may obtain children by her. And Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar, her Egyptian maid, & gave her to her husband Abram to be his [other] wife. And Abram [did what Sarai suggested.]

And [Abram] went in unto Hagar & she [became pregnant.] And when [Hagar] saw she had conceived, [Hagar] despised her mistress, [Sarai.] And Sarai said to Abram, My [error is] upon you. I have given my maid into your [arms] & when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes. [May] the Lord judge between me & you.

But Abram said to Sarai, [Look,] your maid is in your hand. Do to her as it pleases you. When Sarai dealt [harshly with Hagar,] she fled to the wilderness on the way to Shur [where] the Angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water. [The Angel] said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, [from where did you come & where will] you go? And she said, I [fled] from the face of my mistress, Sarai. And the Angel of the Lord said to [Hagar,] Return to your mistress & submit herself under [Sarai’s hand.] The Angel of the Lord [told Hagar,] I will multiply your [descendants] exceedingly & that [there will be so many they can’t be counted.]

[Genesis 17:20 And as for Ismael, I have heard you. [See,] I have blessed him & will make him fruitful & will multiply him exceedingly. He shall [father] 12 princes & I will make [of] him a great nation.]

The Angel of the Lord [told Hagar,] You are [pregnant] with child & shall bear a son & she will name [him,] Ishmael, because the Lord has heard your affliction. He will be a wild man & his hand will be against every man, as theirs will be against him & he shall dwell in the presence of his brethren.

She called the name of the Lord, [Who] spoke to her, [Here I have seen the One Who] sees me. [Therefore,] the well was called Beer Lahai Roi, [which] is between Kadesh & Bered. And Hagar [bore] Abram a son when he was 86 & [he was named] Ishamel.

Genesis 15:1-21 Lord Tells Abram His Descendants Will be Numerous

The Lord Tells Abram His Descendants Will Be as Numerous as the Stars

Genesis 15:1-21                    The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

After these things, the Word of the Lord [God] came to Abram in a vision, saying, [Don't be fearful,] Abram, because I am your shield & [exceedingly] great reward. Abram [asked] God, What will You give me, [since] I am childless & the [heir] of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? Abram said, [See,] You [haven't] given [me a child] & one born in my house, is [my] heir. The Word of the Lord came to [Abram,] saying, This shall not being your heir, & but *[one who comes] from your own [body] shall be your heir. [God brought Abram out] & said, Now, look toward heaven & tell the [amount of] stars, if you [are] able to [count] them. And [God] said, So shall your [descendants] be. [Abram] believed in the Lord & counted it to Him for righteousness.

[Genesis 22:17 That in blessing, I will bless you & in multiplying, I will multiply your [descendants like] the stars of heaven & the sand which is upon the seashore. And your [descendants] shall possess the gate of his enemies.]

The Lord said, I am the Lord God who brought you out of Ur of the [Chaldeans,] to give you this land to inherit it. Abram asked how he could know that he would inherit this & [Abram] said, Lord God, [how] shall I know that I shall inherit it? And God said to him, Take [& bring] to Me: a heifer & female goat & ram [all] 3 years old & a turtledove & young pigeon. [Abram] took all these to [God] & divided them [in the middle of the altar] & laid each piece against [each other, except for] the birds, [which] he [didn’t] divide. Abram drove away the [vultures that] came down on the carcases.

[As] the sun [went] down, a deep sleep fell on Abram & a [severe] horror of the darkness fell upon [Abram.]  *[The Lord God] said to Abram, Know [for certain] that your [descendants] will be strangers in a land that isn't theirs & will serve them & be afflicted by them 400 years, but I will judge that nation, whom they serve & afterward, they will [leave] with great [possessions].

[Exodus 12:35-37 And the children [people] of Israel did according to the word of Moses & they [asked from] the Egyptians: jewels of silver & gold & [clothing.] And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they [granted] to them such things as they required. And [the Israelites plundered] the Egyptians. And the children [people] of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, [with] about 600,000 men & children on foot.]

You will be buried [with your forefathers] in peace, at a good old age. But they shall come [here] [Canaan,] again, in the 4th generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet [complete.]

It [happened when] it was dark, a smoking [oven] & a burning [torch] passed between those pieces [of meat]. The same day, the Lord [God] made a covenant [contract] with Abram, saying, I have given this land to your  [descendants] from the great River [of] Egypt to the Euphrates [River,] [the land of the:] Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaims, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites & Jebusites.

Genesis 14:1-24 Lot Taken Captive & Abram Rescues Him

Lot Taken Captive & Abram Rescues Him

Genesis 14:1-24                    The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

It [happened] in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, the kings: Arioch of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer of Elam & Tidal, king of nations, made war with the kings: Bera of Sodom, Birsha of Gomorrah, Shinab of Admah, Shemeber of Zeboiim & the king of Bela, which is Zoar. All these joined together in the [valley] of Siddim, which is [by] the Salt Sea & served Chedorlaomer 12 years, [but] in the 13th year they rebelled.

In the 14th year, Chedorlaomer & the kings with him came & [attacked:] the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim, the Horites in Mount Seir, [all the way] to Elparan by the wilderness. And they returned & came to Kadesh & [attacked] all the country of: the Amalekites & also the Amorites [who both] dwelt in: Hazezon Tamar.

There went out the [kings] of: Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim & Bela (Zoar is the same.) And they joined [together] in battle with them in the [Valley] of Siddim. With Chedorlaomer, the king of Elam, were: Tidal, king of nations; Amraphel, king of Shinar; Arioch, king of Ellasar-4 kings [against] 5. The [Valley] of Siddim was full of slimepits. The kings of Sodom & Gomorrah fled & fell there. And [those who remained] fled to the mountain. [Then] they took all the goods & [food] of Sodom & Gomorrah & took Lot, Abram's brother, who dwelt in Sodom, & his goods & departed.

There came [someone who] escaped, came & told Abram, the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre. The Amorite, [the] brother of Eshcol & brother of Aner & these were [allies] with Abram. When [Abram] heard his brother,[ Lot,] was taken captive, Abram armed 318 trained servants, born in his house & pursued them [all the way] to Dan. [Abram] divided himself & his servants [at] night. [They] attacked them & pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left [side] of Damascus. [Abram] brought back Lot again, the women & people & all his goods.

And the king of Sodom went out to meet [Abram] after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer & the kings with him, at the [valley] of Shaveh, which is the king's [valley.]

[Then,] Melchizedek [Salem’s] king & priest of God, Most High, & brought [them] bread & wine. [Melchizedek] blessed them & said, Blessed be Abram of the Most High God, possessor of heaven & earth. Blessed be the Most high God [Who] has delivered your enemies into your hand. [Then,] Abram gave him [1/10] tithes of all [he recovered].

The King of Sodom said for Abram, Give me the [people] & take the goods for yourself. [But,] Abram told the king of Sodom, I have [lifted] up my hand to the Lord, the Most High God, the Possessor of heaven & earth & I won't take anything of yours, lest you should say, I have made Abram rich. [Abram said, Except] for the food the young men [ate] & the portion of the men, [who] went with me: Aner, Eshcol & Mamre, let them take their portion [of the goods].

Genesis 13:1-18 Lot & Abram Have an Abundance of Livestock & Go Separate Ways

Lot & Abram Have an Abundance of Livestock & Go Separate Ways

Genesis 13:1-18                    The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

Abram [left] Egypt with his wife [Sarai], Lot & all that he had & was very rich in cattle, silver & gold & went south [as far as] Bethel to the place he built his first altar to God, where his tent had been in the beginning between Bethel & Hai. [There,] Abram first called on the Name of the Lord.

Lot, [who] also went with Abram, had flocks, herds & tents. [Lot & Abram had too many possessions] to dwell together & there was strife between the [herdsmen] of Abram's cattle & the [herdsmen] of Lot's cattle, and the Canaanite & the Perizzite [also] dwelt in the land.

[So,] Abram said to Lot, I pray [that] you, that [there's] nos strife between you & me & between my [herdsmen] & your [herdsmen, for we [are relatives.] Isn't the whole land [in front of] you? I pray [that] you, separate yourself from me. If you will take the left hand [side,] I will go to the right. Or if you depart to the right hand [side, then I will go to the left.

And Lot lifted up his eyes & [saw] all the plain of Jordan & that it was well watered everywhere, even like the garden [of Eden] of the Lord. before the Lord, destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah. Like the land of Egypt, as you come [into] Zoar.

Then, Lot chose [for himself] to go to the plain of Jordan & journeyed east & they separated themselves one from the other.

Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan & Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain & pitched his tent toward Sodom, but the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked before the Lord.

After Lot had separated himself from him, the Lord God said to Abram, Lift up your eyes now & look from the place you are in [all directions:] *For all the land [that] you see, I will give it to you & to your [descendants] forever. And I will make your [descendants like] the dust of the earth in number: so that if a man [could count the grains of] dust, [so] shall your [descendants] be [counted.]

[Genesis 22:17 That in blessing, I will bless you & in multiplying, I will multiply your [descendants like] the stars of heaven & the sand which is upon the seashore. And your [descendants] shall possess the gate of his enemies.]

[God told Abram,] Arise & walk the length & [width of] the land; for I will give it to you. Then, Abram removed his tent & came & dwelt in the [plains] of Mamre, which is Hebron & built an altar to the Lord there.

Genesis 12:1-20 The Lord Directs Abram to Move

The Lord Directs Abram to Move & the Lord’s Promise to Abram

Genesis 12:1-20                    The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

Now the Lord had said to Abram, Get [yourself] out of your country & from your [relatives] & from your father's house; to a land that I will show you. *And I will make of you a [large] nation & I will bless you & make your name great & you shall be a blessing. [Genesis 22:18 And in your [descendants] shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.]

*And I will bless [those who] bless you & curse him [who] curses you & in you, all families of the earth shall be blessed. [Genesis 26:4-5 And I will make your seed to multiply [like] the stars of heaven & will give to your seed all these countries & in your seed all the nations of the earth shall [be] blessed; because that Abraham obeyed My voice & kept My [orders,] My commandments, My [rules] & My laws.]

So, Abram departed [like] the Lord had spoken to him & Lot went with him. Abram was 75 years old when he [left] out of Haran. And Abram took Sarai, his wife & Lot, his brother's son & all their [possessions] & [people] they had gathered in Haran. They went [forward] to go into the land of Canaan. And they came into Canaan.

And Abram passed through the land, to the [location] of Sichem [a.k.a. Shechem] & [on to]  the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite [were] in the land then. *And the Lord appeared to Abram & said, Unto your seed, I will give this land. And Abram [built] an altar there, to the Lord, Who appeared to him.

[Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham & his Seed were the promises made. [God didn't] say, to seeds, [like] of many; but as of One, And to your Seed, which is Christ.]

[Abram moved] from [there] & to a mountain on the east of BethEl & pitched his tent. [with] BethEl on the west & Jai on the east. [Abram built] an altar there & called upon the name of the Lord.

Abram journeyed, going south. There was a famine in the land & [Abram] went down into Egypt, to [stay] there, [because of the severe] famine in the land.

[It happened, when Abram was close] to Egypt, Abram told Sarai, his wife, [Look, I know that you are [an attractive] woman to look [at, but]  when the Egyptians see you, they shall say, This is his wife & they will kill me, but [will] save you alive.

I pray [that] you tell them that you are my sister, [so] that it may go well with me for your sake & [I can] live because of you. And it [happened] that, When Abram [came] to Egypt, the Egyptians [saw Sarai] was [pretty.]

Also, [Pharaoh's] princes saw her & [praised] her [to] Pharaoh & [Sarai] was taken into Pharaoh's house. [Pharaoh treated] Abram well for her sake. And [Abram] had sheep, oxen, [male & female donkeys,] [male & female] servants & camels.

And the Lord plagued Pharaoh & his [household] with great plagues, because of Sarai, Abram's wife. And Pharaoh called Abram & said, What is this that you [have] done to me? Why didn't you tell me that she was your wife?

Therefore, now [see] your wife & take her & go [on] your way. And Pharaoh commanded his men [about Abram] & they sent him & his wife & all that he had away.

Genesis 11:1-32 Tower of Babel & Language Confused

Tower of Babel & Language Confused

Genesis 11:1-32                     The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

The whole earth [had] one language & one speech. They journeyed from the east & found a plain in the land of Shinar & [lived] there. They said to one another, Let's go & make [bricks] & burn them thoroughly. And they had brick [instead of] stone & they had slime for [mortar.] And they said, Let's go & build us a city & a tower, whose top may reach to heaven. And let's make a name [for] us, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

The Lord came down to see the city & tower which the children of men [built. The Lord said, [Look,] the people [are] one & with all one language & [if] they begin to do this now nothing they imagine to do will be [impossible] for them. Let Us go down there & [confuse] their language so that they might not understand one another’s speech. So, the Lord scattered them abroad from there, over the face of all the earth & they [stopped] building the city. Therefore, it is called Babel, because the Lord [confused] the language of all the earth & from there scattered them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

[This is the genealogy] of Shem: Shem was 100 years old & [fathered] Arphaxad 2 years after the flood. After he [fathered] Arphaxad, Shem lived 500 years & [fathered] sons & daughters.  Arphaxad lived 35 years & [fathered] Salah  & lived 403 years & [fathered] sons & daughters. Salah lived 30 years & [fathered] Eber & lived 403 years & [fathered] sons & daughters. Eber lived 34 years & [fathered] Peleg & lived 430 years & [fathered] sons & daughters. Peleg lived 30 years & [fathered] Reu & lived 209 years & [fathered] sons & daughters.

Reu lived 32 years & [fathered] Serug  & lived 207 years & [fathered] sons & daughters. Serug lived 30 years & [fathered] Nahor & lived 200 years & [fathered] sons & daughters. Nahor lived 29 years & [fathered] Terah & lived 119 years & [fathered] sons & daughters. Terah lived 70 years & [fathered] Abram, Nahor, & Haran.

Now [this is the genealogy] of Terah: Terah [fathered] Abram, Nahor & Haran. Haran [fathered] Lot. Haran died before his father, Terah, in his [native] land, Ur of the [Chadeans]. [Then,] Abram & Nahor took wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai & the name of Nahor’s wife [was] Milcah, the daughter of Haran [who was also] the father of Iscah. But Sarai was barren & she had no child.

And Terah took his son, Abram &  Lot, [his grandson, who was] the son of Haran [who was deceased] & his daughter-in-law, Sarai, [who was] his son Abram’s wife & they went [out] from Ur of the [Chaldeans] to go to the land of Canaan & they came to Haran [a city] & dwelt there. [So,] Terah lived 205 years & died in Haran.
