About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

2 Kings 25:1-30 Nebuchadnezzar & All His Army Came Against Jerusalem

Nebuchadnezzar & All His Army Came Against Jerusalem

2 Kings 25:1-30                              2 Kings [in Smaller Chunks]

It [happened during] the 9th year [Zedekiah ruled,] in the 10th month, [on] the 10th day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar, [Babylon's] king, came [with] all his [army] against Jerusalem & pitched [tents] against it.

They built [battle mounds & surrounded it]. The city was [surrounded] until Zedekiah's 11th year [as] king. On the 9th day of the 4th month, the famine was so [severe] in the city & there [wasn't any] bread for the people of the land.

The [city's wall] was broken & all the men of war fled [at] night by the [road] of the gate between the 2 walls, by the king's garden. (Now the Chaldees, [a.k.a. Chaldeans & Babylonian's, surrounded] the city) & the king [took the road] toward the plain.

The army of the Chaldees pursued after the king & [captured] him in the plains of Jericho & all the [army] scattered from him. They [captured] king [Zedekiah] & brought him to Riblah up to [Babylon's] king & [sentenced] him.

They [killed Zedekiah's] sons [in front of] him & put out [Zedekiah's] eyes, [blinding him]. [They] bound him in brass shackles & carried him to Babylon.

In the 5th month, on the 7th day of the month, [during] the 19th year Nebuchadnezzar [ruled as Babylon's] king, Nebuzar Adan, captain of the guard, servant of [Babylon's] king, came to Jerusalem.

He burnt the [Lord's] house & all [Jerusalem's] houses & the houses of the [important] men with fire. All the [Chaldean army,] with the captain of the guard [broke] down all the walls [around] Jerusalem.

Now, Nebuzar Adan, the captain of the guard, carried away: the rest of the people [who] were left in the city, & the [deserters who joined with Babylon's] king & the [rest] of the multitude.

But the captain of the guard left the poor of the land, to [take care of the vineyards & the fields]. The [Chaldeans] broke in pieces & carried away the brass pillars, [basins & brass] sea, that [were] in the [Lord's] house & carried the brass [with] them to Babylon.

They [also] took away all of the brass [articles used for ministering:] the pots, shovels, [candle] snuffers & spoons. The captains of the guard took away the firepans, bowls & [other things] of gold or silver.

The brass of all these [articles] & the 2 [brass] pillars, 1 sea, & [basins that] Solomon had made for the [Lord's] house, was [beyond measurement]. The height of [each of the 2 identical] pillars was 18 cubits, the brass [capital on top of the pillar,] was 3 cubits, the [decorative brass wreath,] the brass pomegranates [surrounding] the brass [capital].

The captain of the guard [captured:] Seraiah, the chief priest; Zephaniah, the 2nd priest & 3 doorkeepers. [Outside] the city, [Nebuzar Adan put] an officer over the men of war, the 5 [advisors to] the king, the [chief] scribe of the [army, who] mustered the people of the land & 60 men found in the city & brought them to Riblah, to [Babylon's] king.

[Babylon's] king [struck them down & killed] them in Riblah, in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away [captive] out of their land. The people [who] remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar, [Babylon's] king left, Gedaliah, [Ahikam's] son, [who was] the son of Shaphan [was made] the ruler [over them].

When all the captains of the armies & their men heard that [Babylon's] king made Gedaliah governor there, [these] came to [confront] Gedaliah [at] Mizpah: Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son; Johanan, [Careah's] son; Seraiah, [Tanhumeth's] son, [a] Netophathite & Jaazaniah, the son of a Maachathite, [with] their men.

Gedaliah [swore] to them & to their men & said, [Don't be afraid] to be the servants of the [Chaldeans a.k.a. Babylonians]. [Live] in the land & serve [Babylon's] king & all shall be well [for] you.

It [happened] in the 7th month, that Ishmael, [Nethaniah's] son, [who was] the son of Elishama, of royal [ancestors] came with 10 men & [assassinated] Gedaliah.

He & all the Jews & [Chaldeans] with him in Mizpah died. All the people [powerless & powerful] & the captains of the armies arose & came to Egypt, [because] they were afraid of the [Chaldeans].

It [happened] in the 37th year [of] Jehoiachin, [Judah's king's] captivity, [on] the 12th month, on the 27th day of the month, Evil Merodach, [a.k.a. Awel-Marduk, Babylon's new] king, began to [rule, he released] Jehoiachin from prison.

[Evil Merodach spoke] kindly to [Jehoiachin & put] his throne above the [thrones] of the kings that were with him in Babylon.

[Jehoiachin] changed [out of] his prison [clothing] & [ate food] continually before [Babylon's king the rest] of his life. [Jehoiachin] was given a continual allowance [from] the king, a daily rate for every day, [the rest] of his life.

2 Kings 24:1-20 Nebuchadnezzar Takes Judah Captive to Babylon

Nebuchadnezzar Takes Judah Captive to Babylon

2 Kings 24:1-20                              2 Kings [in Smaller Chunks]

[During the days of Jehoiakim's rule,] Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came up & invaded the land. Jehoiakim [a.k.a. Eliakim] became [Nebuchadnezzar's] servant for 3 years. Then, [Jehoiakim,] turned & rebelled against [Nebuchadnezzar].

The Lord sent bands [of rebels from] the Chaldees [a.k.a. Babylon,] Syrians, Moabites & the children [people] of Ammon against [Jehoiakim, in] Judah to destroy it, according to the Word of the Lord, [that] He spoke by HIs servants, the prophets.

This surely came upon Judah at the command of the Lord to remove them out of His sight, for the sins of [king] Manasseh, according to all that he did [when he worshiped false gods & idols, used astrology & witchcraft.]

Also, for the blood [of the] innocent that Manasseh shed [that] filled Jerusalem, which the Lord [God wouldn't] pardon. [Aren't] the rest of the [actions] of Jehoiakim & all that he did, written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

So, Jehoiakim [died] & slept with his [forefathers]. Jehoiachin, his son, [ruled] in his [place]. [Egypt's] king [didn't] come out of his land anymore: [since Babylon's] king had taken all the [territory,] from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates River, that pertained to the king of Egypt.

Jehoiachin was 18 years old when he began to [rule] & he [ruled] in Jerusalem 3 months. His mother's name was Hehushta, [Elnathan's] daughter, [from] Jerusalem.

[Jehoiachin] did [what] was evil in the sight of the Lord [God,] according to all his [forefathers] had done. At that time, the servants of Nebuchadnezzar, [Babylon's] king, came up against Jerusalem & [surrounded] the city.

[When,] Nebuchadnezzar, [Babylon's] king, came up against Jerusalem, his servants [were attacking] it. Jehoiachin, [Judah's] king, went out [with] his mother, [wives,] servants, princes & officers, to [Babylon's] king & in the 8th year [Nebuchadnezzar ruled, he captured] them.

He carried out all the treasures of the [Lord's] house & cut into pieces all the gold vessels [that] Solomon [a previous] king of Israel made [for] the temple of the Lord, [like] the Lord had said.

[Nebuchadnezzar] carried away [captive] all [of] Jerusalem, all the: [officers,] the 7,000 mighty men of valor, 10,000 captives & all [were able to go to] war & all the 1,000 craftsmen, 1,000 [black] smiths [went] into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon & none remained, [except for] the poorest people of the land.

And he carried away Jehoiachin from Jerusalem to Babylon [along with:] the king's mother, wives, officers & the mighty of the land [went] into captivity. And [Babylon's] king made Mattaniah, his father's brother, king [in his place] & changed his name to Zedekiah.

Zedekiah was 21 years old when he began to [rule] & he [ruled] 11 years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hamutal, [Jeremiah's] daughter, [from] Libnah. And [Zedekiah] did [what] was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done [in worshiping false gods & idols].

[Because of] the anger of the Lord [& all the wickedness that happened] in Jerusalem & Judah & [Zedekiah's rebelling] against [Babylon's] king, [until the Lord God thrust] them out from His presence.

2 Kings 23:1-37 King Josiah Reads the Book of the Covenant to His People

King Josiah Reads the Book of the Covenant to His People

2 Kings 23:1-37                             2 Kings [in Smaller Chunks]

King [Josiah] sent [for] & gathered all the elders of Judah & Jerusalem. King [Josiah] went  into the [Lord's] house with all the men [who inhabited] Judah & [Jerusalem,] the priests, prophets & all the people, [powerless and powerful].

And [Josiah] read the words of the Book of the Covenant to them, which was found in the Lord's house. [Josiah] stood by a pillar & made a covenant [contract] before the Lord, to [follow] the Lord & to keep His commandments, His testimonies & His statutes with all their heart and all their soul.

And to [keep & do] the words of this covenant that were written in this book. All the people stood [in agreement with] the covenant [contract].

King [Josiah] commanded Hilkiah, high priest, & the priests of the 2nd order & door keepers to bring out of the temple of the Lord, all the [items] made for Baal [a false god] & [from] the grove [used to worship idols] & for [the worship of] the [stars] of heaven [astrology] & burned them [outside of] Jerusalem in the Fields of Kidron & carried the ashes to Bethel.

[Josiah had these struck down:] the priests [of the idols that] the [previous] kings of Judah [appointed] to burn incense [to the false gods] in high places in the cities of Judah & [around] Jerusalem.

And also, [had those struck down who] burned incense to Baal [a false god] & to the sun, to the moon, to the planets, & all the [constellations].

[Josiah had] the grove [taken away] from the [Lord's] house & brought [outside] Jerusalem to the Brook Kidron & burned it [there] & stamped it to small powder & [threw] the powder [of it] on the graves of the [Israelites].

[Josiah] broke down the houses of the sodomites [near] the [Lord's] house, where the women wove hangings for the grove [to worship idols]. [Josiah] brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah & defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense [all the way] from Geba to Beer Sheba.

[Josiah broke] down the high places [to worship idols] on the left [side of] the [entrance] of the Gate of Joshua, [who was] the governor of the city. [However,] the priests of the high places [were not allowed] to come to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, but they did eat the unleavened bread among their brethren.

[Josiah defiled] Topheth, [that was] in the Valley of [Ben] Hinnom, [so] that no man [could] make his [children] pass through the fire to Molech [a human sacrifice to a false god]

[Josiah] took away the horses that the [previous] kings of Judah had [dedicated] to the sun, [worshiped as a false god,] at the [entrance] of the [Lord's] house by the room of Nathan Melech, the [officer] in the suburbs & burned the chariots [dedicated] to the sun, [as a false god] with fire.

The king [had them] beat down & break [down] the altars on top of [Ahaz'] upper [room,] which the kings of Judah had made & the altars [to false gods] that Manasseh had made in the 2 courts of the [Lord's] house & [took them from there] & cast [their ashes] into the Brook Kidron.

The king [had these defiled, the:] high places [to worship false gods] that were [in front of] Jerusalem, on the right [side] of the Hill of Corruption, which Solomon, [one of Israel's previous kings] built for Ashtoreth [a false god,]

[Also an] abomination of the Zidonians & Chemosh [a false god,] [an] abomination of the Moabites & Milcom [a false god,] [an] abomination of the children [people] of Ammon.

[But Josiah] broke down both] the altar that was at Bethel & the high place [to worship idols,] which Jeroboam, [Nebat's] son, [had made, that led] Israel to sin [by worshiping the golden calf, false god, he had made].

[He had] them burned & stamped [them] to [fine] powder. As Josiah turned, he spied the [tombs] that were there [on the hillside] & burned [the bones from them] upon the altar & [defiled] it according to the Word of the Lord, proclaimed [by] the man of God, [who foretold of these things].

Then, [Josiah] said, [Whose gravestone is this] that I see? The men of the city told [Josiah,] It's the [tomb] of the man of God, [who] came from Judah & proclaimed these things you [have] done against the altar of Bethel.

[Josiah] said, Let him alone. [Don't] let [any] man move his bones. So, they [left] the bones [of Samaria's] prophet alone. Josiah, also took away all the houses of the high places [to worship false gods] in [Samaria's] cities which the [previous] king of Israel had made to provoke the Lord [God] to anger, [like] all the [actions] he had done in Bethel.

[Josiah killed] all the [false] priests of the high places [of the idols] that were there & burned [the] men's bones upon the altars & [Josiah] returned to Jerusalem.

King [Josiah] commanded all the people, saying, [Celebrate] the Passover to the Lord, your God, [like] it is written in the Book of the Covenant. Surely, there [wasn't] a Passover [like this one since] the days of the judges [who] judged Israel, the days of the kings of Israel, nor the kings of Judah.

But in the 18th year king [Josiah ruled,] this Passover was [held] to the Lord in Jerusalem. [Additionally, Josiah removed the: mediums,] wizards, images [of false gods,] idols & all other abominations that were [seen] in the land of Judah & Jerusalem.

[Josiah took them away, so] he might perform the words of the law [that] was written in the book Hilkiah, the priest, found in the [Lord's] house. There [wasn't any] king before or after [Josiah, who] turned to the Lord [God] with all his heart, all his soul & all his might according to the Law of Moses.

[Still,] the Lord [didn't] turn from His great [anger that grew] against Judah, because of all [that king] Manasseh [did to] provoke Him [with worshiping idols, witchcraft, astrology & having his children walk through fire, a pagan human sacrifice to false gods].

The Lord said, I will also remove Judah out of My sight [like] I removed Israel & will [reject] Jerusalem, this city I have chosen & the [Lord's] house, that I said, My name shall be there.

[Aren't] the rest of the acts of Josiah & all he did written in the Book of Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? In [Josiah's] days, Pharaoh Nechoh [a.k.a. Necho & Neko, Egypt's] king, went up to the Euphrates River [to help Assyria's] king.

KIng Josiah went against him [in battle & was killed by Pharaoh Necho, when Josiah confronted him]. [Josiah's] servants carried him [dead] in a chariot from Megiddo & brought him to Jerusalem & buried [Josiah] in his own [tomb].

The people of the land took [Josiah's] son, Jehoahaz, anointed him & made him king in his father's [place]. Jehoahaz was 23 years old when he began to [rule] & he [ruled] 3 months in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hamutal, [Jeremiah's] daughter, [from] Libnah.

[Jehoahaz] did [what] was evil in the sight of the Lord [God,] according to all his [forefathers] had done. Pharaoh Necho put [Jehoahaz] into [prison] at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, [so] he [didn't continue to rule] in Jerusalem & [he imposed a levy] on Judah of 100 talents of silver & 1 talent of gold.

Pharaoh Necho made Eliakim, [Josiah's] son, king in the [place] of Josiah, his father & [changed Eliakim's] name to Jehoiakim & took Jehoahaz away to Egypt, [where] he died.

Jehoiakim [paid] the silver & gold [required by the] Pharaoh. He [accomplished this by taxing every person to pay the silver & gold according to their assessment] to give it to Pharaoh Necho.

Jehoiakim was 25 years old when he began to [rule] & he [ruled] 11 years in Jerusalem. HIs mother's name was Zebudah, [Pedaiah's] daughter, [from] Rumah. [Jehoiakim] did [what] was evil in the sight of the Lord [God] according to all his [forefathers] had done.
