About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

The Lord [spoke] to Moses, saying, Command the children [people] of Israel & say to them, When you come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall [as] an inheritance to you, even the land of Canaan & [its] coasts.)

For the tribe of the children [people] of Reuben & children [people] of Gad & 1/2 of the tribe of Manasseh, according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance.

The 2 1/2 tribes have received their inheritance on this side [of the] Jordan [River,] near Jericho, eastward, toward the [sunrise.]

The Lord [spoke] to Moses, saying, These are the names of the men [who] shall divide the land to you: Eleazar, the priest, & Joshua, [Nun’s] son. You shall take 1 prince [from] every tribe, to divide the land [as an] inheritance.

These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb, [Jephunneh’s] son. Of the tribe of the children [people] of Simeon, Shemuel, [Ammihud’s] son. Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad, [Chislon’s] son.

The prince of the tribe of the [people] of Dan, Bukki, [Jogli’s] son. The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the [people] of Manasseh, Hanniel, [Ephod’s] son.

The prince of the tribe of the [people] of Ephraim, Kemuel, [Shiphtan’s] son. The prince of the tribe of the [people] of Zebulun, Elizaphan, [Parnach’s] son. The prince of the tribe of the [people] of Issachar, Paltiel, [Azzan’s] son.

The prince of the tribe of the [people] of Asher, Ahihud, [Shelomi’s] son. The prince of the tribe of the [people] of Naphtali, Pedahel, [Ammihud’s] son. These are whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance to the children [people] of Israel in the land of Canaan.

And Aaron, the priest, went up into Mount Hor at the [command] of the Lord & died there on the 40th year after the children [people] of Israel [had] come out of the land of Egypt; [on] the 1st day of the 5th month. Aaron was 123 years old when he died [on] Mount Hor.

And King Arad, the Canaanite, [who lived] in the [southern] land of Canaan, heard the children [people] of Israel [were] coming. And they [went] from Mount Hor & pitched [tents] in Zalmonah.

And they pitched [tents] by Jordan, from Beth Jeshimoth, even to Abel Shittim in the Plains of Moab. The Lord [spoke] to Moses in the Plains of Moab by [the] Jordan [River,] near Jericho, saying, Speak to the children [people] of Israel & say to them,

When you [have] passed over [the] Jordan [River] into the land of Canaan; Then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you. [You] shall destroy all their pictures, [molded] images & [throw] down their high places.

[Deuteronomy 12:2-3 You shall [totally] destroy all the places, where the nations you shall possess served their gods: upon high mountains, upon the hills, and under every green tree. And you shall overthrow their altars, break their pillars & burn their groves with fire. And you shall [cut] down the [carved] images of their gods & destroy the name of them out of that place.]

You shall [take possession] of the land & [live in it]: for I have given [the land] to you to possess it. You shall divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families. [To a large tribe,] you shall give [a larger] inheritance.

[To a smaller tribe,] you shall give a [smaller] inheritance. According to the tribes of your [forefathers,] every man shall inherit the place where his lot falls. You shall inherit, according to the tribes of your fathers.

But if you [don’t] drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then, it shall [happen,] that those you let remain will be [barbs] in your eyes & thorns in your sides & shall [trouble] you in the land [where] you [live.] [Also,] it shall [happen,] that I shall do to you [what] I thought to do to them.

Numbers 32:1-42 2 1/2 Tribes Requested Lands for Their Livestock

2 1/2 Tribes Requested Lands for Their Livestock

Numbers 32:1-42          The Fourth Book of Moses Called Numbers

Now the children [people] of Reuben & the children [people] of Gad had a very [large] multitude of [livestock.] When they saw that the land of Jazer & Gilead was a place for [livestock, they] came & [spoke] to Moses, Eleazar, the priest, & the princes of the congregation.

[They said,] The land the Lord [struck] before the congregation of Israel: Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Shebam, Nebo & Beon, is a land for [livestock] & [we,] your servants have [livestock.]

[Therefore,] if we have found grace in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession & don’t bring us over [the] Jordan [River.] Moses said to the [people] of Gad & Reuben, Shall you [just] sit here, [while] your brethren go to war?

[Therefore, will] you discourage the [heart] of the children [people] of Israel from going over into the land the Lord has given them? Your [forefathers] did [this,] when I sent them from Kadesh Barnea to [examine] the land.

When they went up into the Valley of Eshcol & saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the [people] of Israel, [to] not go into the land [that] the Lord had given them.

And the Lord’s anger [grew then] & He [swore,] saying, Surely, none of the men 20 years & above [who] came up out of Egypt, shall see the land [that] I [swore to] Abraham, Isaac & Jacob [a.k.a. Israel,] because they [haven’t totally] followed Me, [except for] Caleb, [Jephunneh’s] son, the Kenezite & Joshua, [Nun’s] son: for they have [totally] followed the Lord.

The Lord’s anger [grew] against Israel & He made them wander in the wilderness 40 years, until all the generation [who] had done evil in the sight of the Lord, [were no longer alive.]

[Look] you [have] risen up in your [forefather’s place,] a [group] of sinful men, [increasing] the [Lord’s] fierce anger toward Israel. If you turn away [from the Lord,] He will again leave them in the wilderness & you shall destroy all this people.

They came near [Moses] & said, We will build [pens] here for our [livestock] & cities for our little ones. But we will go armed & ready before the [people] of Israel, until we have brought them into their [own] place & our little ones shall [live] in the fenced cities [protected from] the inhabitants of the land.

We will not return to our houses, until the [people] of Israel [have taken possession] of [their] inheritance. For we won’t inherit on [the other] side [of] the Jordan [River with them,] because our inheritance [has been given] to us on this side [of the] Jordan [River] & eastward.

Moses said to them, If you will do this thing & all of you will go armed  before the Lord to war, over [the] Jordan before the Lord, until He has driven out His enemies from before Him & the Lord [has conquered] the land, then afterward, you shall return & be guiltless before the Lord & Israel & this land shall be your possession before the Lord.

But if you [don’t] do so, you have sinned against the Lord & be sure your sins will [catch up with] you. Build cities for your little ones & [pens] for your sheep & do [all that you said you will do.]

The [people] of Gad & Reuben [spoke] to Moses, saying, Your servants will do as my lord commands. Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, & all our [livestock,] shall be there in the cities of Gilead. But [we,] your servants, will pass over [the river,] every man armed for war, before the Lord to battle, as [Moses says.]

Moses commanded Eleazar, the priest, Joshua [Nun’s] son, & the chief fathers of the tribes of Israel, concerning them. Moses said to them, If the [people] of Gad & Reuben pass over the Jordan [River] with you, every man armed [for] battle, before the Lord & the land is [conquered] before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead [as their] possession.

But if they won’t [cross] over with you armed, their possession shall be [with] you in the land of Canaan. [Both] the [people] of Gad & Reuben answered, saying, We will do [as] the Lord has said to your servants.

We will pass over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, [so we inherit the property] of our inheritance on this side [of the] Jordan [River, which] may be ours.

Moses gave to the [people] of Gad, Reuben & 1/2 of the tribe of Manasseh, [Joseph’s] son, the kingdom of Sihon, the [Amorite’s] king & Og, [Beshan’s] king, the land & the cities of [their] coasts & the cities of [the surrounding land.]

The [people] of Gad built Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer, Atroth, Shophan, Jaazer, Jogbehah, Beth Nimrah, Beth Haran. [They built] fenced cities & [pens] for sheep.

The [people] of Reuben built Heshbon, Elealeh, Kirjathaim [a.k.a. Kiriathaim,] Nebo, Baal Meon, (their names [have] changed) & Shibmah [a.k.a. Sibmah.] [They] gave other names to the cities [that] they [built.]

The children [people] of Machir, [Manasseh’s] son, went to Gilead & [captured] it & [drove out the Amorites that were there.] Moses gave Gilead to Machir, [Manasseh’s] son & he [lived in it.]

Jair, [Manasseh’s] son, went & [captured Gilead’s] small towns & called them Havoth Jair. And Nobah went & [captured] Kenath & [its] villages & called it Nobah, after his own name.

Numbers 31:1-54 The Israelites Warred Against the Midianites

The Israelites Warred Against the Midianites

Numbers 31:1-54          The Fourth Book of Moses Called Numbers

The Lord [spoke] to Moses, saying, [Get revenge on] the Midianites [for what they did] to the children [people] of Israel. Afterward, you shall be gathered to your people [in death.]

Moses [spoke] to the people & [said,] Some of you arm yourselves [for] war & go against the Midianites to avenge the Lord [related to] Midian.

You shall send 1,000 [from] every tribe, throughout all the tribes of Israel to the war. Out of the thousands of [Israelites,] 1,000 [were] delivered [from each of the 12] tribes, 12,000 armed for war. Moses sent to [battle] 1,000 [from] every tribe & Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the priest, with holy [articles] & the trumpets in his hand to blow.

They [fought] against the Midianites, as the Lord commanded Moses & they [killed] all the males. [In addition to the rest of those killed] they [killed Midian’s] kings: Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, Reba, 5 kings of Midian & Balaam [Beor’s] son, they [struck down] with the sword.

The children [people] of Israel took all the [Midianite] women & their little ones captive. They took the spoil of their cattle, all their flocks & all their goods. They burnt all their cities where they [lived] & all their [large] castles, with fire.

They took all the spoil [of] people & [animals.] They brought the captives, [spoils & plunder] to the camp [in] the plains in Moab, by [the] Jordan [River] near Jericho, to Moses & Eleazar, the priest & the congregation of the [people] of Israel.

Moses & Eleazar, the priest, & all the [congregation’s] princes, went to meet them [outside] the camp. Moses was [angry] with the officers of the [army] & captains over 1,000’s & over 100’s, [who] came from battle. Moses [said] to them, Have you [kept] all the women alive?

[look,] these [women] caused the children [people] of Israel to commit [sin] against the Lord, [by Balaam’s] counsel in the matter of Peor & there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.

[Numbers 25:1-3 and Israel [stayed] in Shittim & the people began to commit. [unfaithful harlotry] with the daughters of Moab. And they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods & the people did eat & bowed down to their gods. and Israel joined [itself] to Baal Peor & the anger of the Lord [grew] against Israel.]

Therefore, now kill every male [child] among the little ones & every woman [who has been intimate with] a man. But keep alive all the [female] children for yourselves, [who haven’t been intimate with] a man.

[Anyone who] has killed [or] touched [those] slain, shall [stay outside] the camp 7 days & purify yourselves & your captives on the 3rd & the 7th days. [Also] purify your [clothing] & [everything] made of skins, goat’s hair, or wood.

Eleazar, the priest, said to the men of war [who] went to the battle, This is the [rule] of the Law which the Lord commanded Moses. You [must] make gold, silver, brass, iron, tin, lead & everything that [can withstand] fire, go through fire & it shall be clean. [Still] it shall be purified with the water of [purification.]

All that [can’t withstand] the fire, shall [be made to] go through the water. You shall wash your clothes on the 7th day & you shall be clean. Afterward, you shall come into the camp.

The Lord [spoke] to Moses, saying, You & Eleazar, the priest & the chief fathers of the congregation, take the [total] of the [plunder captured] of both man & [animals.]

Divide the [plunder] into 2 parts; between [those who] went out to battle & all the congregation. [Set a tax for] the Lord [from] the men of war [who] went to battle: 1 of [every] 500 [whether it’s of people, cattle, mules] & sheep.

Take it [from] their 1/2 & give it to Eleazar, the priest, as a heave offering [to] the Lord. [From] the [people] of Israel’s 1/2, you shall take 1 of [every] 50 [whether it’s of people, cattle, mules, sheep] & [all types] of [animals] & give them to the Levites [who are in] charge of the tabernacle of the Lord.

Moses & Eleazar, the priest, did as the Lord commanded Moses. [After removing these,] the rest of the [plunder that] the men of war [captured] was 675,000 sheep, 72,000 [cattle,] 61,000 [mules,] 32,000 women [who had not been intimate] with [a] man.

The 1/2 that was the portion of [the men who] went to war was 337,500 sheep & the Lord’s [portion] of the sheep was 675 sheep. [Of] the 36,000 [cattle,] the Lord’s [portion] was 72 [cattle.] [Of] the 30,500 [mules,] the Lord’s [portion] was 61 [mules.] [Of] the people were 16,000 & the Lord’s [portion] was 32 [people.]

And Moses gave the tribute [tax that] was the Lord’s heave offering to Eleazar, the priest, as the Lord commanded Moses.  Of the children [people] of Israel’s ½, [that] Moses divided from the men [who went to war,] (now the 1/2 [that] pertained to the congregation of Israel was 337,500 sheep, 36,000 [cattle,] 30,500 [mules] 16,000 [people.]

Moses took 1 [portion] of 50 [of] both man & [animals] of the [people] of Israel’s 1/2 & gave them to the Levites [who were in charge] of the tabernacle of the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

The officers over 1,000’s of the [army,] the captains [over] 1,000’s, captains [over] 100’s, came near to Moses & said to [him,] Your servants have [counted the total] of the men of war under our [command] & [none are missing.]

Therefore, we have brought [as] an [offering] for the Lord [all that] every man has gotten of: jewels [in] gold, chains, bracelets, rings, earrings & [necklaces,] to make atonement for us before the Lord.

Moses & Eleazar, the priest, took the gold & all the [jeweled items from] them. All the gold that was offered to the Lord [from] the captains of 1,000’s & captains of 100’s was 16,750 shekels [of gold,] ([because all] the men of war had taken [plunder] for [themselves.])

And Moses & Eleazar, the priest, took the gold [from] the captains of 1,000’s & captains of 100’s & brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation for a memorial for the children [people] of Israel before the Lord.

Numbers 30:1-16 Vows and Voiding Them

Vows and Voiding Them

Numbers 30:1-16           The Fourth Book of Moses Called Numbers

Moses [spoke] to the [12] heads of the tribes [about] the children [people] of Israel, saying, This is [what] the Lord [has] commanded. If a man [makes] a vow to the Lord, or [swears] an oath to bind [himself with a pledge,] he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

If a [young] woman [who lives with her father] also [makes] a vow to the Lord & [binds] herself [with her pledge] & her father [hears] her vow & her father [holds] his peace, then all her vows shall stand.

But if her father [overruled] her [vow on] the day he [heard it;] not any of her vows or [her pledges] shall stand & the Lord shall forgive her, because her father [overruled] her.

If she had a husband, at all when she [made] the [vow] or uttered it [from] her lips & bound [herself by it] & he holds his peace [on] the day he heard it, then her vows [& her pledge with which] she bound [herself] shall stand.

But if her husband [overruled] her on the day that he heard it, then he makes her vow & [what] she uttered [from] her lips, [then that pledge that] she bound [herself, shall] be of [no] effect & the Lord will forgive her.

But every vow of a widow, or divorced [woman, that] they have bound [themselves,] shall stand.

If [a woman makes a] vow in her husband’s house, or bound [herself with a pledge] with an oath & her husband heard it & held his peace & [didn’t overrule it,] her vow & [pledge] shall stand.

But if her husband has [totally] made them void on the day he heard them, then [whatever comes from] her lips [about] her vows, or [the pledge she uttered &] bound her soul, shall not stand, [because] her husband made them void & the Lord shall forgive her.

Every vow & binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it or may make it void. But if her husband [totally holds] his peace [to] her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows, which are upo her & he confirms them, because he held his peace [to] her [on] the day he heard them.

But if he in any [way makes] her [vow & pledge] void after he had heard them, then he shall bear her [guilt.]

These are the [mandates,] which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man & his wife, between a father & his daughter, [still living in his] house.
