About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Genesis 46:1-34 Jacob/a.k.a. Israel Moves With His Family to Egypt

Jacob/a.k.a. Israel Moves With His Family to Egypt

Genesis 46:1-34               The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

Jacob/a.k.a Israel took all he had on his journey to Egypt & came to Beersheba & he offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac. God spoke to Israel in a night vision & when God called Jacob/Israel to him, Jacob said, Here I am.

[The Lord God] said, I am God, the God of your father & [you shouldn’t be afraid] to go down to Egypt, for I will make a great nation of you & I will go down with you into Egypt & I will surely bring you [back] up again & Joseph will put his hand on your eyes.

In the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him, Jacob/Israel left Beersheba with [11 of his 12] sons, wives, little ones, [livestock] & [belongings,] they had gotten in the land of Canaan & [went] to Egypt, Jacob & all his [descendants] with him. Now, these were the names of the children of Jacob/Israel, [who] came to Egypt: Reuben was Jacob’s firstborn.

The sons of Reuben were Hanoch, Phallu [a.k.a. Pallu], Hezron & Carmi. The sons of Simeon were: Jemuel [a.k.a. Nemuel], Jamin, Ohad, Jachin [a.k.a. Jarib], Zohar [a.k.a. Zerah] & Shaul, the son of a [Canaanite] woman. The sons of Levi were: Gershon, Kohath & Merari.

The sons of Judah were: Er, Onan, Shelah, Pharez [a.k.a. Perez] & Zarah [a.k.a. Zerah], but Er & Onan died in the land of Canaan. The sons of Pharez were: Hezron & Hamul. The sons of Issachar were: Tola, Phuvah [a.k.a. Puvah or Puah], Job [a.k.a. Jashub] & Shimron.

The sons of Zebulun were: Sered, Elon & Jahleel. These [are] the sons of Leah, [whom] she bore to Jacob in Padan Aram, [along] with his daughter, Dinah. All the [persons,] his sons & daughters were 33. The sons of Gad were: Ziphion [a.k.a. Zephon], Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon [a.k.a. Ozni], Eri, Arodi [a.k.a. Arod] & Areli.

The sons of Asher were: Jimnah, Ishuah, Isui, Beriah & Serah, their sister. The sons of Beriah were: Heber & Malchiel. These were the sons of Zilpah [the handmaid,] whom Laban gave to Leah, his daughter & these she [bore] to Jacob: 16 [people]. The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife were: Joseph & Benjamin.

Joseph’s wife, Asenath, the daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, [bore] to him [Joseph] Manasseh & Ephraim in the land of Egypt. The sons of Benjamin were: Belah, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim [a.k.a. Hupham] & Ard.

These were the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob: 14 [people in all.] The son of Dan was: Hushim [a.k.a. Shuham]. The sons of Naphtali were: Jahzeel [a.k.a. Jahziel], Guni, Jezer & Shillem [a.k.a. Shallum].

These were the sons of Bilhah, [the handmaid], whom Laban gave to Rachel, his daughter & she bore these to Jacob: 7 [people in all.] All the [people] who went with Jacob/Israel to Egypt, [who] came from his [body,] besides Jacob’s son’s wives, were 66 [people in all.]

And the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt were 2 [people]. All the [people] of the house of [Jacob/Israel] who went to Egypt were 70. Then he [Jacob/Israel] sent Judah before him to Joseph, to direct him [on the way] to Goshen & they came to the land of Goshen.

Joseph got his chariot ready to go to Goshen & met his father & presented himself to his father & he fell & wept on his [father’s] neck a good while. [Jacob/Israel,] said, Now let me die, since I have seen your face, because you are still alive.

And Joseph said to his [brothers] & his father's house, I will up & [tell] Pharaoh & say to him, My [brothers] & my father's house, [that] were in the land of Canaan, [have now] come to me. And the men are shepherds, for their trade has been to feed [livestock] & they have brought their flocks & herds, & all they have.

It shall [happen] when Pharaoh shall call you & say, What is your occupation? Say, Your servants' trade has been about [livestock] from our youth, until now, both us & also our father's, so [that] you may [live] in the land of Goshen, since the Egyptians [think] shepherds are an abomination.

Genesis 45:1-28 Joseph Tells His Brothers Who He Is

Joseph Tells His Brothers Who He Is

Genesis  45:1-28                The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

Joseph couldn’t [restrain] himself [in front of those who] stood by him & he cried [out, Have] every man go out from me. And there was no man with him, while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. And [Joseph] wept [so loudly;] that the Egyptians & the house of the Pharaoh heard [it].

[He told] his [brothers,] I am Joseph, does your father [still] alive? His brothers couldn't answer, [because] they were troubled [by] his presence. And Joseph said to his [brothers,] I pray [that] you come near me & they came near.

And he said, I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. Now, [don’t] be grieved [or] be angry with yourselves, that you sold me [here], because God sent me before you to preserve life. For these 2 years, the famine has been in the land & [still] there are 5 years [without plowing or] harvest.

And God sent me to preserve a posterity [for] you in the [world] & to save your lives by a great deliverance. So it wasn’t you [who] sent me [here,] but God & He has made me [like a] father to Pharaoh & [the] lord of all his house & a [ruler] throughout the land of Egypt.

[Hurry] & go up to my father & say to him, Josons, your son says [this,] God has made me [the] lord of all of Egypt. Come down to me & [don't delay.] And you shall [live] in the land of Goshen & you shall be near me, you & your children, your children's children, your flocks & herds & all you have.

And there, I will nourish you; for there [still] are 5 years of famine; lest you & your household & all that you have come to poverty. And [look with] your eyes & see [in] the eyes of my brother, Benjamin, that it is [really I, who] speaks to you.

And you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt & of all that you have seen. And you shall [hurry] & bring down my father [to here.] [Then Joseph hugged,] his brother, [Benjamin's] neck & [they both] wept.

[Then Joseph] kissed all his [brothers] & wept. After that, his [brothers] talked with him. And the [report of this] was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's [brothers have] come. And [this] pleased Pharaoh & his servants well.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your [brothers,] Do this, [load up] your animals  & go, to the land of Goshen. And take your father & your households & I will give you the [best] of the land of Egypt & you shall eat [of] the fat of the land.

Now, you are commanded to do this; take wagons [for yourselves form] the land of Egypt for your little ones, your wives & bring your father & come. Also, [don't be concerned about] your stuff ; for the [best] of all the land of Egypt is yours. And the children of Israel [a.k.a. Jacob] did so.

And Joseph gave them wagons, according to [Pharaoh's command] & gave them provisions for the [trip.] He gave each man [a change of clothes,] but to Benjamin, he gave 5 changes [of clothing] & 300 pieces of silver.

[Joseph] sent to his father: 10 [donkeys loaded] with the good things of Egypt & 10 [female donkeys loaded with: grain & food] for his father [to eat by the road on the trip to Egypt.]

So [Joseph] said to [his brothers,] See that you [don't be discouraged on the road there.] [Joseph] sent his [brothers] away & they [left.] And they went up out of Egypt & came into the land of Cannon, to their father, Jacob [a.k.a. Israel.]

[When they first told Jacob/Israel, they said,] Joseph is still] alive & he is the governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacobs' heart [failed him, because] he [didn’t] believe them.

[After they explained what Joseph had said to them & he saw the wagons that Joseph sent to carry him, [Jacob's] spirit revived. And Israel [a.k.a. Jacob] said, It is enough [that] Joseph, my son, is [still] alive. I will go & see him before I die.

Genesis 44:1-34 Jacob’s Sons Accused of Stealing a Silver Cup

Jacob’s Sons Accused of Stealing Joseph’s Silver Cup

Genesis  44:1-34               The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

[Joseph] commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry & to [secretly] put their money in the mouths of [their sacks.] And put my silver cup [with the money] in the sack of the youngest & he did [so]. [When] morning [dawned, they] were sent away [with their donkeys & grain.]

When they weren’t far [from] the city, Joseph had his steward, [Catch up with] them & [ask, Why] have you rewarded [me] evil for good? Isn't this my [lord's] drinking cup, he [uses for divining?] You have done evil, in doing [this.]

[The steward caught up to] them & spoke [those] same words to them. And they said to him, [Why would] my lord say these [things?] God forbid that your servants [would] do [something like] this.

[You saw] we brought back the [other] money we found in the mouth of our sacks again, [when we returned from] the land of Canaan, [so why would] we steal silver or gold from our lord’s house?

[Whichever] of your servants [the silver cup is found] let him die & we will also be my lord's [slaves.] [The steward agreed] & said, Let it now be according to your words. With [whomever] it is found, shall be my [slave] & you shall be [without blame.]

Then, every man speedily took his sack down to the ground & opened his sack. And [the steward] searched the sacks from the [oldest] & [stopped] at the youngest. And the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.

Then, they [tore] their clothes & [loaded up] their [donkeys] & returned to the city. [When they] came to Joseph’s house, he was [still] there & they fell [down] before him on the ground. And Joseph [asked,] What deed is this that you’ve done?

[Didn’t you know] that someone [of my importance] can certainly divine? Judah said, What shall we say to my lord? What [words] shall we speak? Or how shall we clear ourselves?

God has found out the [sin] of your servants. [See,] we are my lord's servants, both [us] & he with whom the cup [was] found. [But Joseph told them, God forbid that I should do [this; but only the person who had] the cup, will be my servant & the rest [go] home to your father in peace.

Then, Judah came near to [Joseph & said, oh, my lord, I pray [that] you let your servant speak a word in my lord's ears. And [don't] let your anger burn against your servant: for you are even [like] Pharaoh.

[You,] my lord, asked his servants, [Do] you have a father or brother? And we said, We have a father, an old man & a child of his old age, [who is young] & his brother is dead. And he alone is left of his mother & his father loves him. And you said to your servants, Bring him down to me, [so] I may [put] my eyes upon him.

And we said to my lord, The lad can't leave his father, for if he [leaves,] his father would die. And you said to your servants, [Unless] your youngest brother comes down with you, you shall [not] see my face [anymore.]

It [happened] when we came to my father, we told him [what you said.] and our father said, Go again & buy us a little food. And we said, We can't go down: if our youngest brother [isn't] with us.

Our father [Jacob a.k.a. Israel] said, My wife [Rachel] [bore me] 2 sons & one went out from me & is surely torn in pieces & I have not seen him since. And if you take this [lad] from me & mischief [befalls] him, then you shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

Therefore, when I come to my father & the lad [isn't] with us; [in that] his life is bound up in the lad's life, it shall [happen] when he sees [he] isn't with us, he will die & your servants shall bring down the gray hairs of our father with sorrow to the grave.

[So, I] became [responsible] for the lad [for] my father & said, If I [don’t] bring him to you, then I will bear the blame to my father forever. Therefore, I pray [that] you, let [me stay here as a slave] instead of [the lad & let the lad go up with his [brothers.]

For how shall I go up to my father & the lad [isn’t] with me? Lest I see [what] evil shall come [of] my father.

Genesis 43:1-34 Jacob's Sons Go Back to Egypt to Buy More Food

Jacob Sends His 11 Sons Back to Egypt to Buy More Food

Genesis  43:1-34               The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

The famine was [severe] in the land & when all their [grain that] they brought from Egypt had been eaten up, their father [Jacob, a.k.a. Israel] [told] them, Go again, buy us a little food.

Judah [reminded] him, saying, The man solemnly [warned] us, saying, You shall not see my face, [unless] your [youngest] brother is with you. If you will send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food, but if you won’t send him, we won’t go down & buy you food.

[Jacob/Israel] said, [Why did you [deal so wickedly] with me, to tell the man whether you [still] had a brother? And they said, The man asked us [directly about] our state & our [family, saying, Is your father [still] alive? We told him according to the [tone] of these words. [How] could we know that he would say, Bring your brother down?

Judah said to Israel, his father, Send the lad with me & we will arise & go, [so] that we & our little ones & you don’t die [of hunger.] I [will be responsible] for him. If I don’t bring him [back] to you & [put] him [in front of] you, then [you can] let me bear the blame forever.

[If we hadn't] lingered, we [would have] surely returned [by] now [the] 2nd time. [Jacob/Israel told] them, If it must be [that you] do this now, carry down [to] the man a present & take some of the best fruits of the land in your [jars] a little: balm, honey, spices, myrrh, nuts & almonds & double the amount of money found in the mouth of their sacks [in case] it was an oversight.

Also take your brother & arise & go again to the man. And may the God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may [release] your other brother & Benjamin. If I [am] bereaved of my children, I am bereaved. [They] took the present & double the money in their hand & Benjamin & went down to Egypt.

When Joseph saw Benjamin with [his brothers,] he told the [steward] of the house, Bring these men [to my] home & [have an animal slaughtered & prepared] for [them] to dine with me at noon. And the men did as Joseph [ordered] them. And the [steward] brough the men into Joseph's house.

They were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's house. They said, Are we brought in, because of the money that was returned in our sacks the 1st time; that he may seek [a reason to seize as slaves] & our [donkeys.]

They [talked with Joseph’s steward] at the door of the house & [told him,] O sir, we indeed came down the 1st time to buy food. And it [happened] that [when] we opened our sacks, [the] full weight of every man's money was in the mouth of his sack. We have brought [the money] again in our [hands] & other money to buy food. We cannot tell who put the money in our sacks.

The [steward] said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God & the God of your father, has given you a treasure in your sacks, [because] I had your money. [The steward] brought Simeon out to them [& once inside] Joseph’s house, [they were given water to wash] their feet & their [donkeys were fed.]

They [got] their present ready, because they [had] heard they [were to] eat there. Joseph came at noon. They bowed down to Joseph when [he] came home & they brought him the [presents, that were] in their [hands.]

And he [Joseph] asked them [about] their [well-being] & said, Is your father well, the old man of whom you [spoke?] Is he [still] alive? They [told him,] Our father is in good health & is yet alive. And they bowed down, [facing the ground.]

He lifted up his eyes & saw his mother’s [youngest] son, Benjamin, [he asked,] Is this your younger brother, of whom you [spoke] to me? He said, God be gracious to you, my son. [Then,] Joseph [went quickly] into his chamber to weep [privately] & wept there.

He washed his face & went out & [calmed] himself & said, [Serve the] bread.  He had them serve the bread [to his brothers] by themselves, [but they put Joseph in a separate place,] because Egyptians [couldn’t] eat with the Hebrews, for it was an abomination to the Egyptians.

They sat before him, [in the order of their] birthright & the youngest according to his youth. And [the 11 brothers] marveled at one another. And he [Joseph] sent [servings] to them, [that were in front of] him. But [gave] Benjamin 5 times [as much] as any of theirs. And they drank & were merry with him.

Genesis 42:1-38 Jacob Sent His 10 Sons to Egypt to Buy Food

Jacob Sent His 10 Sons to Egypt to Buy Food Because of the Famine

Genesis  42:1-38               The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

When Jacob [a.k.a. Israel] saw there was [grain] in Egypt, Jacob said to his [11] sons, Why do [are] you [looking at] one another? [Listen,] I have heard that there is corn [grain] in Egypt. [Go] down [there] & buy us [some grain]  from [there, so] we may live, and not die.

Joseph's 10 [brothers] went down to Egypt to buy [grain.] But Jacob [didn't] send [his youngest son,] Benjamin with his [brothers;] for [Jacob] said, Lest [perhaps] some calamity [would happen to] him.

And the sons of [Jacob/Israel] came to buy grain, among those [who] came: [because] the famine in the land of Canaan. Joseph was the governor over the land & he [was in charge of selling grain] to the people of the land. And Joseph's [brothers] came & bowed themselves down before him, [facing the ground.]

And Joseph saw his [brothers & recognized] them, but [acted like a stranger] to them & spoke roughly to them & he said, [From where did] you come? And they [told him,] From the land of Canaan to buy food. Joseph knew his [brothers,] but they [didn't know] him.

Joseph remembered the dreams he [had about] them & said, You are spies; you have come [here] to see the [vulnerabilities] of the land. They [told Joseph, No, my lord,] your servants [have] come to buy food. We are all one man's sons & are [honest] men & aren’t spies. [Joseph] said [again,] [No,] you [gave] come to see the [vulnerabilities] of the land.

And they said, Your servants are [of 12 brothers,] the sons of 1 man in the land of Canaan & the youngest is this day with our father & one is [no more.] Joseph said, That's [exactly] it, [what] I said to you, saying, You are spies. [By this,] you shall [prove you aren’t spies.] By the life of Pharaoh, you shall not go [out] from here, [unless] your younger brother [comes here.]

Send one of you & let him [get] your brother & [the rest] of you shall be kept in prison, so your words may be [proven,] whether there [is] any truth in you. Or else, by the life of Pharaoh, you surely [will be considered] spies.

[Joseph] put them together in [prison for] 3 days. And Joseph said to them the 3rd day, Do this & live; for I fear [respect] God. If you are [honest] men, let one of your [brothers] be [confined] in the prison house.

[The rest,] go & carry [grain to] your houses for the famine. But bring your youngest brother to me, so your words [will] be verified & you shall not die & they did so. And they said to one another, We are [truly] guilty [about] our brother, [Joseph,] in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he [begged] us & we wouldn't [listen.]

Reuben anTherefore, this distress [has] come upon us. And Reuben answered them, [Didn’t ] I speak to you, saying, Don't sin against the child & you wouldn’t [listen to me.]

Therefore, [look,] his blood is also required [for what we did.] They [didn’t] know that Joseph understood them, [because] he spoke to them [through] an interpreter. [When Joseph heard what they said,] he turned [away] from them & wept.

[When Joseph] returned to them again, [he talked] with them & took & bound Simeon before their eyes. Joseph [secretly] commanded to fill their sacks with [grain] & to restore every man's money [which was to be put inside] his sack & to be given [provisions] for [the journey home]. [And this was done] to them.

And the [9 brothers loaded] their [donkeys] with [grain] & departed [from there.] One of them opened his sack to get [feed] for his [donkey at] the inn & [saw] his money & [saw it was] inside the mouth of his sack. And he [told his brothers,] My money is restored & [look,] it is even in my sack. Their heart failed them & they were afraid & said to one another, What is this that God has done to us?

[When they got] to the land of Canaan, they came to [Jacob/Israel,] their father & told him all [that had happened] to them, saying, The man, who is the lord of the land, [spoke] roughly to us & [mistook] us for spies of the country. We said to him, We are [honest] men & [aren’t] spies.

We [are] 12 [brothers,] sons of our father & 1 is [no longer] & the youngest is with our father in the land of Canaan this day. The man, the lord of the country, said to us, [This is how] I shall know you are [honest] men; leave 1 of your [brothers] here with me & take food for the famine [for] your households & be gone.

And bring back your youngest brother to me. Then I [will] know you aren’t spies, but are [honest] men. So, I will [return] your brother [from prison] & you can [do business] in the land. It [happened] as they emptied their sacks, that every man [saw their] bundle of money in [their] sacks & when both they & their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.

[Jacob/Israel,] their father said to them, You have bereaved me of my children. Joseph is not & Simeon is not & you [want] to take Benjamin away. All these things are against me. Reuben [spoke] to his father, saying, If I don’t return him [Benjamin] to you, slay my 2 sons.

Deliver him into my hand & I will bring him [back] to you again. [Jacob/Israel] said, My son shall not go down with you. His brother is dead & if he is left alone & [something bad happens to] him [on] the way, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

Genesis 41:1-57 God Allowed Joseph to Interpret the Pharaoh’s 2 Dreams

God Allowed Joseph to Interpret the Pharaoh’s 2 Dreams

Genesis  41:1-57               The First Book of Moses Called Genesis

It [happened] after 2 full years, the Pharaoh [had a dream] & he [was standing] by the river. [He saw,]  7 [healthy, fat cows] came out of the river & fed in the meadow. [Then, he saw,] 7 other [thin, scrawny cows] came out of the river & stood by the other [cows] at the [edge] of the river.

The [thin, scrawny cows ate] up the 7 [fat cows & the] Pharaoh woke up. [Then,] Pharaoh [went back to sleep & had a] 2nd [dream.] [He saw] 7 ears of [plump, good] corn came up on 1 stalk & [then saw] 7 thin ears [withered] by the east wind [sprang] up after them & devoured the 7 [plump, good] ears [of corn]. And Pharaoh [woke up] & it was [just] a dream.

It [happened] in the morning, the [Pharaoh’s] spirit was troubled & he called for all [his] magicians & wise men [in] Egypt & told them his [dreams], but [no one] could interpret them.

Then, the chief butler [spoke] to the Pharaoh & said, I remember my faults this day. Pharaoh was [angry] with his servants & put me in [custody] in the captain of the guard's [prison] house, both me & the chief baker.

We both [had] a dream in one night, he & I. And there was a young Hebrew man with us, a servant to the captain of the guard & we told him & he interpreted our dreams to [each of] us. And it came to pass, that [Pharaoh] restored me to my [position] & hanged [the chief baker, as Joseph accurately interpreted.]

Then, Pharaoh sent [for] Joseph & they brought him [quickly] out of the dungeon & shaved him & changed his [clothing] & [he went] to [the] Pharaoh. Pharaoh [told] Joseph,  I [had] a dream & there [are] none [who] can interpret it. I have heard [it said of] you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it. Joseph [said,] It’s not [by] me, but God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Pharaoh [told] Joseph, In my dream, I stood on the bank of the river & 7 [healthy, fat cows] came out of the river & fed in the meadow & 7 [thin, scrawny cows] [worse than I had] ever seen] in all the land of Egypt & [they ate] up the first 7 [healthy, fat cows] & I [woke up].

And I saw in my [other] dream, 7 ears of [plump, good] corn came up on 1 stalk & then 7 thin ears [withered] by the east wind [sprang] up after them & devoured the 7 [plump, good] ears [of corn.] And I told this to the magicians, but [no one,] could [explain the dreams] to me.

And Joseph [told the] Pharaoh, The dreams [are] one. God has shown [the] Pharaoh what [God] is about to do. The 7 good [healthy cows] & the 7 good ears [of corn] are 7 years [of plenty.] The 7 [thin, scrawny cows] & the 7 empty, [withered] ears [of corn blighted] by the east wind [are] 7 years of [severe] famine.

This thing [that] I have spoken to Pharaoh, [is] what God is about to do & He shows [it] to Pharaoh. [Indeed,] 7 years of great plenty [will] come throughout all the land of Egypt, [but] after them 7 years of famine & all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt & the [severe] famine shall consume the land.

And the plenty shall not be known in the land, [because] of that famine following, [because] it shall be very grievous. The dream was [repeated] twice to Pharaoh, [so you knew] this thing is established by God,  Who will bring it to pass shortly. Now, let Pharaoh [select a discerning] & wise man to [put] over the land of Egypt.

Let Pharaoh do this & let [this man] appoint officers over the land to collect 1/5 [of the produce] of the land of Egypt in the 7 [plentiful] years. And let him gather all the food of the good years & [store up the corn under the authority] of Pharaoh & keep the food in the cities.

And the food shall be [as a reserve] for the 7 years of [severe] famine that shall be in the land of Egypt, [so] that the land [may not] perish [during] the famine. This [advice] was good in the eyes of Pharaoh & all his servants.

And Pharaoh said to his servants,  Can we find [someone like] this, a man in whom the Spirit of God [resides?] [Then,] Pharaoh said to Joseph, [Since] God has shown you all [of] this, there is no one as [discerning] & wise as you are. You shall be over my house &  according to your word, all my people shall be ruled.

I will only be greater in the land of Egypt in [regard to] the throne, than you. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have [put] you over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his [signet] ring & put it on Joseph’s hand & [clothed him in garments] of fine linen & put a chain of gold [around] his neck.

[Pharaoh had Joseph] ride in the 2nd chariot [behind the Pharaoh] & they had people cry [out in front of Joseph,] Bow your [knees]. [Pharaoh put Joseph] over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said, I am Pharaoh & no one can lift his hand or foot [to do anything] without you, in all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh called [Joseph,] Zaphnath-Paaneah & gave Asenath, the daughter of Potipherah, the priest of On, to Joseph [as a] wife. Joseph was 30 years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went throughout all the land of Egypt, [during] the 7 [plentiful] years of [abundance, where] the earth brought forth by handfuls.

And [Joseph] gathered up [1/5 of] the food [during] the 7 years & the food from the land [that surrounded them] & laid up the food in every city. Joseph gathered up so much corn [a.k.a. grain,] it was [like] the [sands] of the sea [shore,] until he [stopped counting it, because it was immeasurable].

[Joseph’s wife,] Asenath, the daughter of Potipherah, priest of On, [bore him] 2 sons, before the years of famine came. [Joseph's] firstborn [was named] Manasseh: For God, said He, has made me forget all my toil & my father's house. The name of the 2nd [son] was called Ephraim: For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

[Then,] the 7 years of plenty in the land of Egypt ended. The 7 years of [famine] began to come, was in all the lands, [like] Joseph had said, but in all the land of Egypt, there was bread. When all the land of Egypt was [hungry], the people cried to Pharaoh for bread, [but he told] all the Egyptians, Go to Joseph & do [whatever] he says to you.

The famine was over all the face of the earth & Joseph opened all the storehouses & sold to the Egyptians, [because] the famine had [become severe] in the land of Egypt & [so] all the countries came to Egypt to Joseph to buy corn, because the famine was so [severe] in all lands.
