About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Luke 16:1-31 The Parable of the Rich Man & His Steward

The Parable of the Rich Man & His Steward

Luke 16:1-31          The Gospel According to Luke [in Smaller Chunks]

[Psalm 78:1-4 [Listen,] O My people, to My Law. [Lean] your ears to the Words of My mouth. *I will open My mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old, [that] we have heard & known, & our [forefathers] have told us. We won't hide them from their children, [declaring] the praises of the Lord, His strength, & His wonderful works, [a.k.a.miracles,] He has done, to the generation to come.]

*And [Jesus] said to His disciples, There was a certain rich man, [who] had a steward, [a.k.a. manager or supervisor.] And the [steward] was accused to him, [for] [wasting] his goods.

And he called [the steward,] & said to him, How is it, that I hear this [about] you? Give [me] an account of your stewardship. For you [may] no longer be [my] steward.

Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? For my lord [takes] the stewardship away from me. I can't dig, & I'm ashamed to beg. I [have decided] what to do, [so] that when I'm put out of the stewardship, they may receive, [a.k.a. welcome,] me into their houses.

So, [the steward,] called to him, everyone of his lord's debtors, [a.k.a. those who owed him money,] & said to the 1st, How much [do] you owe to my lord? And he said, 100 measures of oil. And [the steward] said to him, Take your bill, & sit down quickly & write 50.

Then, [the steward] said to another, And how much [do] you [owe?] And [the steward] said, 100 measures of wheat. And [the steward] said to him, Take your bill, & write 80.

And the lord [complemented] the [dishonest] steward, because he had done wisely. For the children of this world, [of] their generation are wiser than the children of Light. [1 John 1:7 But if you walk in the Light, [like] He is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another. And the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, [cleanses] us from all sin.]

And I say to you, [Don't] make yourselves friends of the [riches] of [the] unrighteous, [a.k.a. wicked, so] that, when you fail, they may receive, [a.k.a. welcome] you into [an] everlasting [habitation, a.k.a. home.]

[John 14:1-3 [Don't] let your heart be troubled. You believe in God, also believe in Me. In My Father's house, are many mansions. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go & prepare a place for you, I will come again, & receive, [a.k.a. welcome,] you to Myself, [so] that where I Am, you may also be there.

He, [who] is faithful in [what] is [little,] is also faithful in much. [Luke 19:16-17 Then, the 1st came, saying, Lord, your pound has gained 10 pounds. Well [done] you good servant: because you have been faithful in very little, you [shall] have authority over 10 cities.]

And he, [who] is unjust, [a.k.a. unfair] in [what] [is] [little,] is also unjust in much. Therefore, if you haven't been faithful in [sinful riches,] who will trust [you] [with] true riches? [1 Timothy 6:17 [Command those, who] are rich in this world, that they [are] not high-minded, [a.k.a. think better of themselves, because of their money,] nor trust in uncertain riches, but [trust] in the Living God, Who gives us richly [of] all things to enjoy.]

And if you haven't been faithful in [what] is another man's, who shall give you [what] is your own? [1 Timothy 6:6-10 But godliness with [being] [content,] is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, & it is certain we can carry nothing out. And let us be content [with] having food & [clothing.]

But [those, who want] [to] be rich, fall into temptation, a [trap,] & into many foolish & [harmful desires,] which [overwhelm] men [with] [ruin & destruction.] For the love of money is the root of all evil. While some [have] coveted after [money,] they have erred, [a.k.a. gone astray] from the faith [in Christ,] & pierced through, [a.k.a. inflicted] themselves with many sorrows.]

No servant can serve 2 masters. For either he will hate the 1, & love the other. Or else he will hold [tight] to the 1, & despise the other. You can't serve God & [riches.] And the Pharisees, who were also [envious,] heard all these things, & they [ridiculed Jesus.]

And He said to them, You, are those, [who] justify yourselves [in front of] men. But God [knows] your hearts. For [what] is highly esteemed, [a.k.a. respected,] among men, is [an] abomination in the sight of God. [Matthew 6:5-6 And when you [pray,] you shall not be [like] the hypocrites are, [a.k.a. those who say 1 thing & do another.]

For they love to pray in the synagogues, & in the corners of the streets, [so] that they may be seen [by] men. [Truly,] I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you [pray,] enter into your closet, & when you [have] shut your door, pray in [private] to your Father, [Who sees] in secret & your Father shall reward you openly.]

The Law and the prophets were until John [the Baptist.] Since that time, the Kingdom of God is preached, & every man [pushes toward] it. [Matthew 7:13-14 You enter in the [narrow] gate. For wide is the gate, & broad is the [path] that leads to destruction. And there [are] many, [who] go in [there.] Because the gate is [difficult,] & the [path] is narrow, [that] leads to life, & there [are] few, [who] find it.

It is easier for heaven & earth to pass [away,] than [for] [1 tiny bit] of the Law to fail. [1 Peter 1:25 But the Word of the Lord [endures] forever. And this is the Word  [that] is preached to you [through] the Gospel.]

[Whoever puts] away, [a.k.a. divorces,] his wife, & [marries] another, [commits] adultery. And [whoever marries] her, [who] is put away from her husband, [commits] adultery.

There was a certain rich man, [who] was clothed in purple, & fine linen, & [dined] sumptuously every day. And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, [who] was [lying] at his gate, full of sores. And [Lazarus] [desired] to be fed with the crumbs [that] fell from the rich man's table. [Also,] the dogs came & licked his sores.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, & was carried by the Angels into Abraham's bosom, [a.k.a. arms.] The rich man also died, & was buried. And in hell, [the rich man,] being in torments, [lifted] up his eyes, & [saw] Abraham [far away,] & Lazarus in his [arms.]

And [the rich man] cried [out] & said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, & send Lazarus, [so] that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, & cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that you received your good things in your lifetime. And [also] Lazarus [received] [bad] things. But now he is comforted, & you are tormented.

And beside all this, there is a [large] gulf fixed between you and me, so that [those, who want] [to] pass from [here] to you, can't. Neither can [those, who want] [to] come from [there,] pass to us.

Then, [the rich man] said, Therefore, I pray [that] you, father, [would] send [Lazarus] to my father's house. For I have 5 [brothers, so Lazarus] might testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham said to [the rich man,] They have Moses & the prophets. Let them hear them.

[Matthew 23:37-39 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you [who kill] the prophets, & [stone those, who] are sent to [warn] you. How often I would have gathered your children together, even [like] a hen [gathers] her chickens under her wings, & you would not! [Look,] your house is left to you desolate. For I say to you, You shall not see Me [from now on, until] you shall say, Blessed is He, [Who comes] in the Name of the Lord.

And [the rich man] said, [No,] father Abraham. But if [somone] went to them from the dead, they will repent. And [Abraham] said to [the rich man,] If they [don't] hear Moses & the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, [even though someone] rose from the dead.

[John 12 9-11 Therefore, [many] of the [Jewish] people knew that [Jesus] was there. And they [didn't] only come for Jesus' sake, but that they might see Lazarus, also, whom [Jesus] had raised from the dead. But the chief priests consulted, [so] that they might also put Lazarus to death; because of [Lazarus, & for this] reason, many of the Jews went away, & believed [in] Jesus.]
