About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

2 Samuel 5:1-25 David is Anointed King Over Israel

David is Anointed King Over Israel

2 Samuel 5:1-25       The Book of 2 Samuel [in Smaller Chunks]

Then all the tribes of Israel came to David in Hebron & [spoke,] saying, [Look,] we are your flesh & bone. In [the] past, when Saul was king over us, you were the one [who] led Israel [out to battle] & brought us in [again.]

The Lord said to you, You shall feed My people, Israel & be a [leader] over Israel. So, all the elders of Israel came to the king in Hebron & king David made a [pact] with them in Hebron before the Lord.

They anointed David king over Israel when he was 30 years old when he began to [rule] & he [ruled] 40 years. In Hebron, [David ruled] 7 1/2 years over Judah & in Jerusalem, he ruled over [both] Israel & Judah 33 years [40 years total.]

King [David] & his men went to Jerusalem to the Jebusites, [who inhabited] the land. [They spoke] to David, saying, [Unless] you take away the blind & the lame, you shall not come in [here:] thinking, David [couldn’t] come in [there.]

[However,] David [captured] the [fortress] of Zion, [which] is the city of David. David said on that day, [Whoever] gets up to the [guttering] & [attacks] the Jebusites, the lame & blind, [who are despised] by David, shall be the chief & captain.

[For this reason] they said, The blind & the lame shall not come into the house. David [lived] in the [fortress] & called it the city of David. David built [around it] from Milo & inward.

David went on & grew great & the Lord God of Hosts was with him. And Hiram, [Tyre’s] king, sent messengers to David & cedar trees, carpenters & masons & they built David a house.

David [realized] that the Lord [God] had established him [as] king over Israel & that [God] had exalted his kingdom for His people, Israel’s sake. David took more wives & [mistresses for himself] from Hebron & [he fathered] more sons & daughters.

These [are] the names of those [children] born to him in Jerusalem: Shammuah, Shobab, Nathan & Solomon. Also, Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada & Eliphalet.

But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to [search for] David. David heard of it & he went down to his [safe place of refuge.]

The Philistines also came & spread themselves [out] in the Valley of Rephaim. David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?

And the Lord said to David, Go up, for I will [certainly] deliver the Philistines into your hand. And David came to Baal Perazim & [defeated] them there & said, The Lord has broken [out] upon [my] enemies, [in front of] me, like the waters [raging through a break.]

Therefore, [David] called the place Baal Perazim. The [Philistines] left their images there & David & his men burned them. [Still,] the Philistines came up again & spread themselves in the Valley of Rephaim.

When David inquired of the Lord, He said, You shall not up, but [circle around] behind them & come upon them & [attack] them over [next] to the mulberry trees [a.k.a balsam trees.]

Let it be known, when you hear the sound [like marching] in the tops of the mulberry trees, [be ready,] for then, the Lord will go out before you, to [strike down] the Philistine [army.] David did as the Lord had commanded him & he [struck down] the [Philistine army] from Geba [all the way] to Gazer [a.k.a. Gezer.]
