Isaiah Foretells Judah's Consequences for Wicked Actions

Isaiah 3:1-26                                The Book of Isaiah [in Smaller Chunks]

For, [look,] the Lord, the Lord God of Hosts, [takes] away [what was:] [stock-piled, & stored,] from Jerusalem & Judah, & the whole [supply] of bread [needed,] & the whole [supply] of water, [from:] the mighty man, the man of war, the judge, the prophet, the [wise, the elderly,] the captain of 50, the [honorable] man, the [counselor,] the [skillful artisan,] & the eloquent [speaker.] [Ezekiel 17:11-14 [Additionally,] the Word of the Lord came to me, saying, Now say to the rebellious house, [a.k.a. family, [Don't] you know what these things mean? Tell them. [Look,] the king of Babylon [has] come to Jerusalem, & [has captured its] king, & [its] princes, & led them to Babylon, with him. And [has] taken [from] the king's seed, [a.k.a. offspring,] & made a covenant, [a.k.a. contract,] & taken an oath, with him. He [has] also taken the mighty of the land; [so] that the kingdom might be [lowly, so] that it might not lift itself up, but it might stand, by keeping [its] covenant.]

And I will give children to be their princes. [1 Kings 3:6-7 And Solomon said, You [have demonstrated] great mercy, to Your servant, David, my father, according as he walked, [a.k.a. followed,] before You in: Truth; righteousness; & [with an upright] heart with You. And You [have saved] this great kindness for him, that You [have] given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. And now, O Lord my God, You [have] made [me,] Your servant, king instead of David, my father. And I am [only] a little child: & I [don't] know how to go out or come in.]

And babes, shall rule over them. [2 Chronicles 24:1-2 Joash, [a.k.a. Jehoash,] was 7 years old when he began to [rule,] & he [ruled] 42 years in Jerusalem. Also, his mother's name was Zibiah [from] Beer-Sheba. And Joash did [what] was right in the sight of the Lord all the days of Jehoiada, the priest.]

And the people shall be oppressed, everyone: by another, & by his neighbor. The child shall behave proudly against the [elderly,] & the [dishonorable,] [shall be] against the [honorable.]

When a man shall grab hold, [a.k.a. seize,] his [relative from] his father's house, [a.k.a. family,] saying, You [have] clothing. You be our ruler, & let this ruin be under your hand, [a.k.a. control.] [On] that day, he shall [protest,] saying, I won't be a [doctor] [to heal this situation,] for there is neither bread nor clothing in my house. [Don't] make me a ruler of the people. For Jerusalem is ruined, & Judah [has] fallen: because [of what] [they say,] & their [actions] are against the Lord, to provoke the glory of His eyes.

[2 Chronicles 36:14-16 [Additionally,] all the chief priests, & the people [sinned] very much, [according to] all the abominations of the heathen, & polluted, [a.k.a. defiled,] the house of the Lord, [that] He had hallowed in Jerusalem.

And the Lord God of their [forefathers,] [had] sent His messengers to them, rising up early, [beforehand to warn them,] & [sent] [them,] because He had compassion on His people, & on His dwelling place.

But they mocked [God's] messengers, & despised His Words, & misused His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, until there was no remedy.]

The [expression on their] [faces displayed] witness against them. And [their actions] declare their sin [like] Sodom, & they [don't] [even] hide it. Woe, [a.k.a. Distress], to their soul! For they have [repaid] themselves [with] evil.

You say to the righteous, that it shall [go] well [for] him: for they shall eat the fruit of their [actions.] [Revelation 14:9-10 And the 3rd Angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man [worships] the beast & his image, & [receives] his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink [from] the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture, [a.k.a. not watered down,] into the cup of His indignation, [a.k.a. anger aroused by injustice.] And he shall be tormented with fire & brimstone in the presence of the holy Angels, & in the presence of the Lamb.]

[Distress for] the wicked! It shall [go poorly for] him: for the reward of his hands shall be [returned back] to him. [Ecclesiastes 8:12-13 [Although] a sinner [does] [what is:] evil 100 times, & his days [are] prolonged, surely, I [still] know that it shall [go] well with [those, who] fear, [a.k.a. respect] God, [who] [demonstrate] [respect] before Him. But it shall not [go] well with the wicked, & neither shall He prolong his days, which are [like] a shadow; because he [doesn't] [demonstrate] [respect] before God.]

As for My people, children are their oppressors, & women rule over them.         [2 Kings 11:1-3 And when Athaliah, the mother of Ahaziah, saw that her son was dead, she arose & destroyed all the [royal] seed, [a.k.a. heirs.]

But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, & sister of Ahaziah, took Joash, [a.k.a. Jehoash,]  the son of Ahaziah, & [snuck] him [out] from among the king’s sons, [who were killed,] & hid him, even [Joash] & his nurse, in the [bedroom,] from Athaliah, so that he wasn’t [killed.]

And [Joash] was with her [hidden] in the house of the Lord [for] 6 years. And Athaliah [ruled] over the land.]

O My people, those [who] lead you, cause you to err, [a.k.a. go astray,] & destroy the way of your paths. [Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, [who] come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly, they are [ravenous] wolves.]

The Lord [stands] up: to plead [with,] & to judge the people. [Isaiah 66:15-16 For [watch,] the Lord will come with His chariots like a whirlwind, & with fire, to [deliver] His anger with fury, & His [correction] with flames of fire. For the Lord will plead with all flesh by His sword, & by fire. And many shall be the slain of the Lord.]

The Lord will enter into judgment with the [elders] of His people, & [its] princes. For you have eaten up the vineyard, & the [plunder from] the poor, is in your houses. [1 John 3:17 But [whoever has] [enough of] this world's [goods,] & [sees] his brother [has] need [of them,] & [shuts] up his [heart's] compassion from him, how [does] the love of God [dwell] in him?]

What [do] you mean [by] [beating] My people to pieces, & [grinding] the faces of the poor? [says] the Lord God of Hosts. [Micah 3:1-3 And I said, O heads of Jacob, & you princes [from] the house of Israel, I pray [that] you hear. Isn't it [right] for you to know judgment, [a.k.a. justice?] Who hate the good, & love the evil. Who pluck their skin from off them, & their flesh from off their bones. Who also eat the flesh of My people, & [fillet] their skin off from them. And they break their bones, & chop them in pieces, [like] for the [stew] pot, & like [meat] within the caldron.]

[Additionally,] the Lord [says,] Because the daughters of Zion, [a.k.a. Jerusalem,] are [arrogant,] & walk with stretched [out,] [a.k.a. stubborn,] necks & [seductive eyes,] walking [in a dainty way,] as they go, making tinkling [sounds] with their feet.

Therefore, the Lord will [strike] the crown of the [heads] of the daughters of Zion with [scabs,] & the Lord will discover their secret parts. [Jeremiah 13:22 And if you say in your heart, [For what reason did] these things come upon me? For the greatness of your [sins,] your skirts are [uncovered,] & your heels [are] made bare.]

[On] that day, the Lord will take away the bravery of [flaunting:] their tinkling ornaments [around] their feet, & [woven chains around their waists,] & their round moon [shaped ornaments put on their forehead,] the chains, bracelets, [mantillas,] bonnets, [leg] ornaments, headbands, [perfume boxes,] earrings, rings, nose jewels, changeable suits of [clothing, & coats, shawls, purses, glass mirrors,] & the fine linen [turbans, & veils.]

[Jeremiah 11:11-13 Therefore, the Lord [says this, Watch,] I will bring [calamity] upon them, [that] they shall not be able to escape. And though they shall cry [out] to Me, I won't [listen] to them. Then the cities of Judah, & inhabitants of Jerusalem shall go, & cry [out] to the gods, to whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all, [during] their time of trouble. For O Judah, your gods were  according to the number of your cities. And you have [put] up altars, according to the number of [Jerusalem's] streets, to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Baal. ]

And it shall [happen,] that instead of sweet [aromas,] there shall be stink. And instead of a [sash,] a [torn] [sash;] & instead of well set hair, baldness. And instead of a [belt,] [you'll] [clothe] [yourselves with,] sackcloth; & [there will be] burning instead of beauty. [Isaiah 34:1-3 You nations come near to hear; & [pay attention,] you people. Let the earth hear, & all that's [in it;] & the world, & all things that come [from] it. For the [Lord's] indignation, [a.k.a. anger aroused by injustice,] is upon all nations, & His fury [is] upon all their armies. He [has totally] destroyed them. He [has] delivered them to the slaughter. Also, their slain shall be cast out, & their stink shall come up out of their [corpses,] & the mountains shall be melted with their blood.]

Your men shall fall by the sword, & your mighty [will die] in the war. And her gates shall lament & mourn. And she being desolate, [a.k.a. alone,] & shall sit upon the ground. [Jeremiah 14:2 Judah [mourns,] & [its] gates languish, [a.k.a. become weak.] [Those who] [wear] black [fall] to the ground, & the [out] cry of Jerusalem [has] gone up.]
