About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

What Can and Can’t be Eaten by the Israelites

Leviticus 11:1-47          The Third Book of Moses Called Leviticus

The Lord [spoke] to Moses & Aaron & [told] them, Speak to the children [people] of Israel, saying, These are the [animals] you shall eat among all the [animals] that are on the earth: [whatever completely parts] [divides] the hoof, with cloven [hooves] [each of 2 toes with a totally separated hoof] & chews the cud [chews their food again to fully digest it,] [are] among the [animals] that you shall eat. 

[However,] you shall not eat of [these animals] that are unclean to you, that chew the cud, or of those that divide the hoof: [like] the camel, the cony [a.k.a. rock hyrax] & the hare [a.k.a. rabbit,] because [they each] chew the cud, but [don’t] divide the  [hooves.] And the swine [a.k.a. pig, although it divides] the hoof & [has] cloven [hooves,] yet [it doesn’t] chew the cud. And you shall not eat their flesh [meat or] touch their carcass; they are all unclean to you.

The carcass of every [animal] that divides the [hooves] & [doesn't] have cloven [hooves,] nor chews the cud, are unclean to you. Everyone [who] touches them shall be unclean. 

And [whatever] goes upon [its] paws, among all [types of animals] that go on all [fours,] those are uncle to you. [Whoever] touchess their carcass shall be unclean until the [evening.] And he [who carries its] carcass, shall wash his clothes & be unclean until [evening.] They are unclean to you.

These you shall eat of all that are in the waters: [whatever] has fins & scales whether in the seas or in the rivers. You shall eat them.

[Don’t eat] all that [don't]  have fins & scales, in the seas or rivers, of all that move in the waters, & of any living thing [that] is in the waters. You shouldn’t eat their flesh or touch their carcass. Even they shall be an abomination [detestable] to you. They shall be an abomination to you. [Whatever] has no fins, nor scales in the waters, shall be an abomination [detestable] to you.

These are [the unclean] fowls [a.k.a. birds] which are [considered an] abomination, after their kind & shouldn’t be eaten: the eagle, the ossifrage [a.k.a bearded vulture] & the osprey [a.k.a. buzzard,] after [its] kind; the vulture &  kite, after [its] kind; every raven after [its] kind; the  owl, nighthawk, cuckow [a.k.a. cuckoo,] hawk after [its] kind; the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl, the swan, the pelican, the gier eagle, the stork, the heron after [its] kind; the lapwing [a.k.a plover & the bat. All [birds] that creep, going upon all [fours,] shall be an abomination [detestable] to you.

Yet, you may eat of every flying, creeping [insect] that goes on all fours that have [jointed] legs above their feet to leap on the earth; [like] these you may eat: the locust after [its] kind; bald locust after [its] kind; beetle after [its] kind & the grasshopper after [its] kind. But all other flying creeping things, [that] have 4 feet, shall be an abomination to you. For these shall be unclean for you. 

[Whoever] touches the carcass of them shall be unclean until the [evening.] [Whoever carries any] of the [carcasses] of them, shall wash his clothes & be unclean until [evening.] 

These shall also be unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the weasel, the mouse, & the tortoise, after [its] kind. And the ferret, the chameleon, the lizard, the snail & the mole. 

These are unclean to you among all that creep. [Whoever touches] them, when they [are] dead, shall be unclean until [evening.]  

[Whatever] of any of them [falls,] upon when they are dead, shall be unclean. Whether it [falls in] any [container] of wood, or] clothing, or skin, or sack, or [whatever] vessel it [is,] where any work is done, it must be put into water. And it shall be unclean until the [evening.]  [That's how] it shall be cleansed. 

And every earthen vessel [made of clay,] where any of them falls & [whatever] is in it is unclean & you should break it. [If any water falls from the contaminated vessel] on all meat, all [drinks,] in every vessel, shall be unclean.  

Everything that a part of their carcass falls [on] shall be unclean; whether [it’s] an oven, or ranges [stoves] for pots, it shall be broken down; for they are unclean & shall be unclean to you. 

Nevertheless a [spring] or pit [cistern or well,] in which there is plenty of water, shall be clean, but [whatever] touches their carcass shall be unclean . 

If any part of their carcass [falls] upon any [planting] seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean. But if any water is put on the seed & any part of their carcass [falls on it,] it shall be unclean to you. 

If any [animal], which you may eat, dies & he [who] touches [its] carcass [of it] shall be unclean until [evening.] He  eats or [carries] the carcass of it, shall wash his clothes & be unclean until [evening.]

And every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth shall be an abomination [detestable.] It shall not be eaten.  [Whatever] crawls on [its] belly & [whatever] goes on all [fours,] or [whatever] has [many] feet among all creeping things that creep on the earth, you shall not eat them, for they are an abomination [detestable.] 

You shall not make yourselves abominable [detestable] with any creeping thing that creeps. Neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, [so] that you [may] be defiled [by them.]  For I am the Lord your God & you shall sanctify yourselves. You shall be holy; for I Am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any [type] of creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

For I am the Lord [Who brought] you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: Therefore, you shall be holy, for I am holy. This is the law [related to:] the [animals,] the [birds] & of every living creature that moves in the waters or creeps upon the earth. To [distinguish] between the unclean & the clean & between the [animals] that may be eaten & the [animals] that may not be eaten.
