The Lord Will Rescue the Children of Israel from Their Burdens |
Exodus 6:1-30 The Second Book of Moses Called Exodus |
The Lord said to Moses, Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand, he [will] let them go & with a strong hand, he shall drive them out of his land. God spoke to Moses & said, I am the Lord. I appeared to Abraham, Isaac & Jacob by the Name of God Almighty, but My name Jehovah wasn’t known to them. |
I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, they were strangers in the land of their pilgrimage. I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage & I have remembered My covenant [contract.] |
[Therefore] say to the children [people] of Israel, I am the Lord & I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians & I will [rescue] you out of their bondage & I will redeem you with an outstretched arm & great judgments. I will take you as My people & I will be [your] God. |
You [will] know that I am the Lord your God, [who] brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians & I will bring you to the land [that] I swore to give Abraham, Isaac & Jacob & I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the Lord. |
And Moses [said this] to the children [people] of Israel, but they didn’t [pay attention,] to Moses [because] of their anguish of spirit & cruel bondage. The Lord spoke to Moses saying, Go in & [tell] Pharaoh, king of Egypt, [to] let the children of Israel go out of his land. |
Moses told the Lord, The children of Israel [haven’t paid attention] to [what I said,] how shall Pharaoh[listen] to me, because I’m of uncircumcised lips? The Lord gave Moses & Aaron a [command] for the children of Israel & [for] Pharaoh, [Egypt's] king, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. |

It [happened] on the day when the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, saying, I am the Lord, speak to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, all that I say to you. And Moses said to the Lord, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips & how shall Pharaoh [listen] to me? |
