About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

1 Kings 13:1-34 A Man of God Is Sent to Prophesy to Jeroboam

A Man of God Is Sent to Prophesy to Jeroboam

1 Kings 13:1-34                               1 Kings [in Smaller Chunks]

[See,] by the Word of the Lord, a man of God came there out of Judah, & [went] to BethEl. And Jeroboam, [a.k.a. Nebat’s son,] stood by the altar to burn incense. [1 Kings 12:28-29 [Upon which,] king [Jeroboam] took counsel &, made 2 calves of gold & said to them, It’s too much for you to go up to Jerusalem, [to sacrifice.]

[Look,] your gods, O Israel, [that] brought you up, out of the land of Egypt. And he [put] the one [gold calf] in BethEl, and the other he put in Dan.]

[The man of God] cried [out] against the altar [with] the Word of the Lord, & said, O altar, altar, the Lord [says this; Look,] a child shall be born to the house of David, [named] Josiah.

And upon you, [a.k.a. altar, Josiah] shall offer the priests of the high places [who] burn incense upon you, & men’s bones shall be burnt upon you. [2 Kings 23:1 And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the [tombs] that were in the mount, & [had] the bones [taken] out of [them,] & burned them upon the altar, & [defiled] it, according to the Word of the Lord, [that] the man of God, who proclaimed these Words, [declared.]

[The man of God] gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign [that] the Lord [has] spoken; [Watch,] the altar shall be [broken,] and the ashes that are upon it, shall be poured out.

And it [happened,] when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, [who] had cried [out] against the altar in BethEl, [Jeroboam] put [out] his hand from the altar, saying, [Seize] him.

And [Jeroboam’s] hand [that] he put [out] against [the man of God, shriveled] up, so that [Jeroboam] couldn’t pull [his hand] in again to him. The altar also was [split apart,] & the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign [that] the man of God had given [Jeroboam,] by the Word of the Lord [God.]

And king [Jeroboam] answered & said to the man of God, Now, [ask] the face of the Lord your God, & pray for me, [so] that my hand may be restored [to] me again.

And the man of God [begged] the Lord, & the king’s hand was restored [to] him again, & became [like] it was before. And the king said to the man of God, Come home with me, & refresh yourself, & I will give you a reward.

The man of God said to the king, [Even] if you [will] give me 1/2 [of] your house, I won’t go in with you, & neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place, [because I] was charged by the Word of the Lord, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor [return] again by the same way you [came.]

So, [the man of God] went another way, & [didn't return] to BethEl, by the [same] way that he came. Now, an old prophet [lived] in BethEl; & his sons came & told him all the works, [a.k.a. deeds,] the man of God had done that day in BethEl, & the Words [that] he had spoken to the king. They also told them to their father.

And their father said to them, [Which] way [did] he [go?] For his sons had seen [the] way the man of God, [who] came from Judah, went. And [the old prophet] said to his sons, Saddle me a [mule,] so they [did,] & he rode [on it,] & went after the man of God, & found him sitting under an oak.

And [the old prophet asked, Are] you the man of God [who came] from Judah? And he said, I am. Then, [the old prophet] said to him, Come home with me, & eat bread. And [the man of God] said, I may not return with you, nor go in with you. Neither will I eat bread, nor drink water with you in this place.

For [I was told] by the Word of the Lord, You [shall not] eat bread, nor drink water there, nor [return] again the [same] way that you [came.] [The old prophet] said to him, I am also a prophet [like] you [are;] & an angel [spoke] to me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with you, into your house, [so] that he may eat bread & drink water.

But [the old prophet] lied to [the man of God.] So, the [man of God] went back with [the old prophet,] & [ate] bread & [drank] water in his house. And it [happened,] as they sat at the table, the Word of the Lord came to the prophet [who] brought him back.

He cried [out] to the man of God, [who] came from Judah, saying, The Lord [says this, Since] you [have] disobeyed the [Words] [from] the mouth of the Lord, & [haven’t] kept the commandment [that] the Lord your God commanded you, But [you] [came] back, & [have] eaten bread & [drank] water in this place, [that] the Lord [said] to you, Eat no bread, & drink no water.

Your [carcass, a.k.a. corpse,] shall not come [into] the [tomb] of your [forefathers.] And it [happened,] after he had eaten bread, & had drunk [water,] [the old prophet] saddled the [mule] for the prophet whom he had brought back.

And when [the man of God] was gone, a lion met him by the [road,] & slew him; & his [carcass] was [thrown] in the [road] & the [mule,] & the [lion] stood by the [carcass.] And [look,] men passed by, & saw the [carcass thrown] in the [road,] & the lion standing by the [carcass.] And they came & told [about] it in the city where the old prophet [lived.]

And when the prophet [who] brought him back from the [road] heard [of it,] he said, It is the man of God, who [disobeyed] the [Lord’s] Word. Therefore, the Lord [has] delivered him to the lion, [that has] torn, & [killed] him, according to the Word of the Lord, which He [spoke] to him.

And [the old prophet said] to his sons, Saddle me the [mule,] & [they did.] And he went & found his [carcass] in the [road,] & the [mule] & the lion standing by the [carcass.] And the lion hadn’t eaten the [carcass,] nor torn the [mule.]

And the prophet took up the [carcass] of the man of God, & laid it upon the [mule,] & brought it back, & the old prophet came to the city, to mourn & to bury him. And [the old prophet] laid his [carcass] [of the man of God] in his own grave; & they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother!

And it [happened,] after he had buried [the man of God,] that [the old prophet spoke] to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the [tomb in which] the man of God is buried.

Lay my bones beside his bones: [Because of] the saying [that the man of God] cried [out] by the Word of the Lord against the altar of BethEl [Jeroboam had built,] & against all the houses [in] the high places [that] are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely [happen.]

After this thing, Jeroboam [didn’t return] from his evil [ways,] but again made the [lowliest] of people, priests of the high places. [Whoever] would [do it,] [Jeroboam] consecrated him, & he became one of the priests of the high places.  And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, & to destroy it from off the [surface] of the earth.
