About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

2 Samuel 24:1-25 David Counts Israel Against God’s Will

David Counts Israel Against God’s Will

2 Samuel 24:1-25       The Book of 2 Samuel [in Smaller Chunks]

Again, the anger of the Lord [grew] against Israel. And he moved David against them to say, Go, & [count] Israel & Judah. [1 Chronicles 21:1 And Satan stood up against Israel, & provoked David to [count] Israel.]

For king [David] said to Joab, captain of the [army, who were] with him, Go now, through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even [all the way] to BeerSheba, & you, [count] the people, [so] I may know the number of the people, [a.k.a. Israelites.]

And Joab said to king [David,] Now, the Lord your God [adds] to the [amount of] people 100 [times as many] [as there currently are,] so the eyes of my lord, the king, may see it. But why does my lord, the king, delight in this thing?

[Still] the king’s word prevailed against: Joab & the captains of the [army.] And Joab, & the captains of the [army] went out from the presence of the king, to [count] the people of Israel.

And they [crossed] over [the] Jordan [River,] & pitched [their tents] in Aroer, on the right side of the city that [lies] [near] the [middle] of the River of Gad, [facing] Jazer. Then, they came to Gilead & to the land of Tahtim Hodshi. And they came to Dan Jaan, & [around] to Zidon [a.k.a. Sidon.]

And [they] came to the stronghold of Tyre, & to all the cities of the; Hivites & the Canaanites; & they went South of Judah, even [all the way] to BeerSheba. So, when they had gone through all the land, they came [back] to Jerusalem [after] 9 months & 20 days.

And Joab gave the [total] number of the people to king [David.] In Israel, there were 800,000 valiant men [who] drew the sword. In Judah, there were 500,000 men. And David’s heart [struck] him after he had the people [counted.] And David said to the Lord, I have greatly sinned in [what] I’ve done, & I now [beg] You, O Lord, take away the [sin] of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.

When David [got] up in the morning, the Word of the Lord came to the prophet, Gad, David’s seer, saying, Go & say to David, The Lord [says this;] I offer you 3 things. Choose [for] [yourself] 1 of them, so I may do it to you.

So, Gad [went] to David, & told him, & said to him, Shall 7 years of famine come to you in your land? Or [will] you flee 3 months [in front of] your enemies, while they pursue you? Or that there [are] 3 [days of] pestilence in your land?

Now, [consider these,] & see [which] answer I shall return to [God, Who] sent me. And David said to Gad, I am in great [distress.] Let us now fall into the hand of the Lord; for His mercies are great. And [don’t] let me fall into the hand of man. So, the Lord sent a [plague] upon Israel from the morning, even [until] the appointed time. 70,000 men of the [Israelites] died there from Dan, even [all the way] to BeerSheba.

And when the Angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord, [Himself withdrew] the [calamity,] & said to the Angel [who] destroyed the people, It is enough. [Put down] your hand now.

And the Angel of the Lord was by the place [for] the threshing of Araunah, the Jebusite. And David [spoke] to the Lord when he saw the Angel [strike] the people, & said, [Look,] I have sinned, & I have done wickedly: but what have these sheep, [a.k.a. Israelites,] done?

I pray You let Your hand be against me, & my father’s house, [a.k.a. family.] And Gad came that day to David, & said to him, Go up, & [put up] an altar to the Lord [God] in the threshing floor of Araunah, the Jebusite.

And David [did] according to [what] Gad [said,] & went up as the Lord [God] commanded. And Araunah looked, & saw the king & his servants coming toward him. And Araunah went out, & bowed himself [in front of] the king, [facing] the ground.

And Araunah said, [Why has] my lord, the king, come to [me,] his servant? And David said, To buy the threshing floor [from] you, to build an altar to the Lord, [so] the plague may [stop] from the people.

And Araunah said to David, Let my lord, the king, offer up what [seems] good to him. [Look,] here [are] oxen for [a] burnt sacrifice, & threshing instruments, & other [tools for] the oxen for [getting the] wood.

Araunah [gave] all these things to the king, & did [like] [the] king [requested.] And Araunah said to the king, [May] the Lord, your God, accept you. And King [David] said to Araunah, [No,] but I will surely buy it [from] you [for] a price.

Neither will I [make] burnt offerings to the Lord my God, [from what costs] me nothing. So, David bought the threshing floor, & the oxen for 50 shekels of silver.

And David built an altar there to the Lord, & offered burnt offerings, & Peace Offerings. So, the Lord [answered] [David’s request] for the land, & the plague [stopped] from Israel.
