About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:

Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV. Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning. For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.

The Table Format:

The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.

Elijah is Taken Up to Heaven in a Whirlwind

2 Kings 2:1-25                              2 Kings [in Smaller Chunks]

It [happened,] when the Lord [wanted to] take Elijah up into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha, from Gilgal. And Elijah said to Elisha, I pray [that] you [wait] here; for the Lord [has] sent me to BethEl.

And Elisha said to [Elijah,] As the Lord [Lives,] & as your soul [lives,] I won't leave you. So, they went down to BethEl. And the sons of the prophets, [who] were in BethEl came [out] to Elisha, & said to him, [Don't] you [know] that the Lord will take away your master, [in charge,] from you today?

And Elisha said, [Yes,] I know it; hold your peace. And Elijah said to Elisha, I pray [that] you [wait] here; for the Lord has sent me to Jericho. And [Elisha] said, As the Lord [Lives,] & as your soul [lives,] I will not leave you. So they came to Jericho.

And the sons of the prophets, [who] were [in] Jericho came, & said to Elisha, [Don't] you know that the Lord will take away your master, [in charge,] from you today? And [Elisha] answered, [Yes,] I know it; hold your peace.

And Elijah said to [Elisha] I pray [that] you [wait] here; for the Lord [has] sent me to Jordan. And [Elisha] said, As the Lord [Lives,] & as your soul [lives,] I will not leave you. And [the] two went on.

And 50 men of the sons of the prophets went, & stood by [the] Jordan [River] to [watch far away.] And Elijah took his [cloak,] & wrapped it together, & [struck] the waters, & they were [parted to opposite sides,] so that [the] two went [across] [the Jordan River] on dry ground.

And it [happened,] when they had [crossed] over, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you, before [I'm] taken away from you. And Elisha said, I pray [that] you, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me. And [Elijah] said, You [have] asked a [difficult] thing: [but] if you see me when I'm taken from you, it shall be [done] to you.

But if [you don't see me,] it [won't] be so. And it [happened,] as they still went on, & talked, that [Elisha] [saw] a chariot of fire,  & horses of fire appeared there, & [separated] them. And Elijah went up into heaven by a whirlwind.

And Elisha saw it, & he cried [out,] My Father, my Father, the chariot of Israel, & the horsemen [of it.] And [Elisha no longer saw Elijah.] And [Elisha] took hold of his own clothes, & [tore] them in 2 pieces.

[Elisha] also took up [Elijah's cloak] that fell from him, & went back, & stood by the bank of [the] Jordan. [Then, Elisha] took [Elijah's cloak] [that he had used to] [strike] the waters, that [had] [fallen] [down] from him, & [Elisha] said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah?

And when [Elisha] had also [struck] the waters, they [were] parted [to opposite sides,] & Elisha went [across.] And when the sons of the prophets, [who watched in] Jericho, saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah [rests] on Elisha.

And they came to [greet Elisha,] & bowed themselves to the ground [in front of] him. And they said to him, [Look] now, there [are] 50 strong men, with [us,] your servants. We pray [that] you let them go [search for] your master, lest [perhaps] the [Holy] Spirit of the Lord [has] taken him up, & [threw him] upon some mountain, or into some valley.

And [Elisha,] said, You shall not send [them.] And when they urged [Elisha until] he was ashamed, he said, Send [them.] Therefore, they sent 50 men, & they [searched] 3 days, but [didn't find Elijah.] And ([Elisha waited in] Jericho,) & when they [returned to Elisha] he said to them, [Didn't] I say to you, [Don’t] go?

And the men of the city said to Elisha, [Look,] I pray [that] you, [see] this city is pleasantly situated, like] as my lord [sees;] but the water is [bad,] & the ground [is] barren, [a.k.a. can’t grow crops.] And [Elisha] said, Bring me a new [jar,] & put salt [in it.]

And they brought it to him, & Elisha went [out] to the [water] spring, & [threw] the salt in there, & said, The Lord [says this,] I have healed these waters; & there shall [no longer] be anymore: death or barren land from [there.] So, the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha [that] he [spoke.]

And [Elisha] went up from [there, all the way to] BethEl. And as he was going up by the [road, youths] came out of the city, & mocked, [a.k.a. harassed,] him, & said to [Elisha,] Go up, you bald [headed] [man;] go up, you bald [headed] [man.]

And [Elisha] turned back, & looked [at] them, & cursed them in the Name of the Lord. And there came out of the [woods,] 2 [mother] bears & [tore] 42 [of the] children. And [Elisha] went from [there] to Mount Carmel, & from [there] he returned to Samaria.
