Don't Be a Fool

Ecclesiastes 10:1-20            The Book of Ecclesiastes [in Smaller Chunks]

Dead flies cause the ointment of the [perfumer] to send [out] a stinking [scent.] So [does] a little folly, [a.k.a. lack of good judgment,] [to] him, [who has] a reputation for wisdom & honor. [Proverbs 18:6-7 A fool's lips enter into [arguments,] & his mouth [calls] for [blows.] A fool's mouth is his destruction, & his lips are the snare of his soul.]

A wise man's heart is at his right hand. But a fool's heart [is] at his left.  [Matthew 25:31-33 When the Son of Man, & all the Holy Angels with Him, shall come in His glory, then He shall sit upon the throne of His glory. And all nations shall be gathered [in front of] Him. And He shall separate them one from another, [like] a shepherd [divides] his sheep, from the goats. And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, & but [He shall put] the goats on the left.]

[Yes,] also when he, [who] is a fool [walks, [a.k.a. follows,] by the [road,] his wisdom [fails] him, & he [shows] to everyone that he is a fool. If the spirit of the ruler [rises] up against you, [don't] leave your [post,] for yielding, [soothes, large] offenses. [Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer [turns] away [fury,] but grievous, [a.k.a. harsh,] words stir up, [a.k.a. ignite,] anger.]

There is an evil [that] I have seen under the sun, [like] an error, [that comes] from the ruler. [The] [foolish] [person] is set in [seats of] great dignity, & the rich sit in [a] low place. I have seen servants upon horses, & princes walking [like] servants upon the [ground.] [Proverbs 30:21-22 For 3 things the earth is [uneasy,] & for 4 [that] it can't bear, [a.k.a. put up with.] For a servant when he [rules,] & when a fool is filled with meat, [a.k.a. food.]

He, [who digs] a pit, shall fall into it. And [whoever breaks] [down] a hedge, a [snake] shall bite him. [Whoever removes] stones, shall be hurt [by it.] [Deuteronomy 19:14 You [shall] not remove your [neighbor's] landmark, [that those in ancient times had put] in your inheritance, that you [shall] inherit in the land that the Lord your God, [gives] you to possess it.]

And he, [who cuts] wood shall be endangered [by that.] [Deuteronomy 19:5 [Like] when a man [goes] into the [woods] with his [neighbor] to [cut] wood, & his hand [swings] a stroke with the [ax] to cut down the tree, & the [ax] head [slips] from the [handle,] & [strikes] his [neighbor,] that he [dies.] He shall flee to one of those [refuge] cities, & live.]

If the iron [ax head] [is] blunt, & he doesn't [sharpen] the edge, then he must put [even] more strength: but wisdom is [beneficial] to [guide.] Surely, the [snake] will bite without [a snake charmer,] & a babbler is no better. [Proverbs 18:8 The words of a [gossip] are [like] wounds, & they go down into the innermost parts of the [stomach.]

The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow himself up. The beginning of words [from the fool's] mouth is foolishness. And the end of his [speech] is [wicked] madness, [a.k.a. Insanity.] [Proverbs 10:19 In the multitude of words, there [is] no [lack] [of] sin: but he [who refrains] his lips is wise.]

Also, a fool is full of words. A man can't tell what shall be, & what shall be after him. Who can tell him? [Proverbs 15:2 The tongue of the wise [uses] knowledge [correctly:] but the mouth of fools [pours] out [what is:] foolishness.]

The [labor] of the foolish [tires] everyone of them, because he [doesn't] [even] [know] how to go to the city. [Proverbs 6:9-11 How long [will] you sleep, O [lazy person?] When [will] you arise out of your sleep? [Still] a little [more] sleep, a little slumber, & a little folding of the hands to sleep. So shall your poverty come, [like someone who travels] [to escape] [like] an armed & [wanted] man.]

Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, & your princes [feast] in the morning! Blessed [are] you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, & your princes eat [at appropriate times,] for strength, & not for drunkenness! [Isaiah 5:11 Woe to [those, who] rise up early in the morning, [so] that they may follow strong drink; & that continue until night, [until] wine [enflames] them.]

[Because] of much [laziness,] the building [decays.] And through [idle] hands, the house [leaks] through. [Proverbs 24:30-31 I went by the field of the [lazy,] & by the vineyard of the man [without] understanding. And, [look,] it was all grown over with thorns, & [sticker bushes,] had covered the [surface of it.] And [its] stone wall was broken down.]

A feast is made for laughter, & wine [makes] merry: but money [answers] all things. [1 Timothy 6:10-12 For the love of money is the root of all evil. While some [have] coveted after [money,] they have erred from the faith, & have [inflicted] themselves with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee [from] these things, & follow after [what is:] [righteous, godly,] [& of] faith, love, patience, & meekness, [a.k.a. humility.] Fight the good fight of faith [in Jesus Christ.] [Grab] onto: Eternal Life, [which] you are also called [to,] & have [confessed] a good profession [of faith,] before many witnesses.]

[Don't] curse the king, not in your [thoughts;] & [don't] curse the rich in your [bedroom:] for a bird of the air shall carry the [words of] your voice, & that which [has] wings, shall tell the matter.
