Seeking Her Beloved, Compared with Seeking Jesus Christ

Song of Solomon 5:1-16                 The Song of Solomon [in Smaller Chunks]

My sister, my spouse: I [have] come into my garden. I have gathered my myrrh with my spice. I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey, I have drunk my wine with my milk. O friends, eat, & drink. [Yes,]  O beloved drink abundantly.

[Luke 15:4-7 What man of you, having 100 sheep, if he [loses] 1 of them, [doesn't] leave the 99 in the wilderness, & go after that which was lost, until he [finds] it? And when he [has] found it, He [lays] it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he [comes] home, he [calls] together his friends & [neighbors,] saying to them, Rejoice with Me; for I have found My sheep which was lost. I say to you, that [the same] joy shall be in heaven over 1 sinner, [who repents,] more than over 99 [righteous people, who] need no repentance.]

I sleep, but my heart [wakes.] It is the voice of my beloved, [who knocks,] saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled. [Revelation 3:20-22 [Revelation 3:20-21 [Look,] I stand at the door, & knock. If any man [hears] My voice, & [opens] the door, I will come in to him, & will [dine] with him, & he with Me. I will grant to him [who overcomes,] to sit with Me [on] My throne, even [like] I also overcame, & Am [sitting] down with My Father [on] His throne. He, [who has] an ear, let him hear what the [Holy] Spirit [says] to the churches.]

For the [hair on top of] my head is filled with the dew, & my locks [of hair are filled] with the [drips] [of water,] [from] the night. I have [taken] off my coat. How shall I put it on? I have washed my feet. How shall I [dirty] them?

My beloved put His hand by the [key] hole of the door, & my [insides yearned] for Him. [John 10:7-10 Then, Jesus said to them again, [Very truly,] I say to you, I Am the Door [for] the sheep. All [who] ever came [prior to] Me are thieves, & robbers. But the sheep didn't hear them. I Am the Door: & if any man [enters] in, he shall be saved by Me, & shall go in & out, & find pasture. The thief [only comes:] to steal, to kill, & to destroy. I [have] come [so] that they might have life, & that they might have it more abundantly.]

I rose up to open to my beloved, & my hands [dripped] with myrrh, & my fingers [dripped] with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the [door's] lock handles. I opened [the door] to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, & was gone. [Philippians 2:5-8 Let [your] [minds within] you, also be [like that] in Christ Jesus, Who [is] in the [image] of God, & thought it not [a crime] to be equal with God. But made Himself of no reputation, [a.k.a. without status,] & was made in the likeness of men, & took upon [Himself] the [image] of a servant. And being found in [the image like] a man, He humbled Himself, & became obedient [until] death, even the death [on] the cross.

My soul failed when he [had spoken.] I sought him, but I couldn't find him. I called [after] him, but he [didn't] answer me. [Matthew 28:5-7 And the Angel answered, & said to the women, [Don't] you fear, for I know that you seek Jesus, [Who] was crucified. He isn't here: for He is Risen, [like] He said. Come, & see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, & tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead. And [watch,] He [goes] before you into Galilee. You shall see Him there. [Look,] I have told you.]

The [night] watchmen [who] went [around] the city found me, & they: [struck] & wounded me.] The [walls' guards,] took my veil away from me. [Isaiah 53:3 *He is despised & rejected [by] men. A Man of sorrows, & acquainted with grief. And we hid, [like] it were our faces, from Him. He was despised, & we [didn't respect] Him.]

I [give you the responsibility,] O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, you tell him that I am [lovesick.] [1 John 4:8-11 He, [who] doesn't love, doesn't know] God. For God is Love. In this, the love of God was [made apparent] toward us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world, [so] that we might live through Him. [Through this] is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, & sent His Son to be the [atonement] for our sins.]

What is your beloved, more than another beloved, O you, fairest among women? What is your beloved more than another beloved, that you [order] us [to do] so? [Romans 5:6-8 For when we were [still] without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. Scarcely for a righteous man will [someone] die, & [still perhaps] for a good man, some would even dare to die. * But God [demonstrates] His love toward us, in  that, while we were [still] sinners, Christ died for us.]

My beloved is white & [has a] ruddy [complexion,] the [best] among 10,000.      [1 Chronicles 16:25-26 For great is the Lord, & greatly to be praised. He is also to be feared, [a.k.a. respected,] above all gods. For all the gods of the people are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.]

His head is [like] the most fine gold. His locks are bushy, & black [like] a raven. His eyes are [like] the eyes of doves by the waters of the rivers, washed with milk, & [appropriately positioned.] [Revelation 1:14 His head, & His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow. And His eyes were [like] a flame of fire.]

His cheeks are [like] a bed of spices, [like] sweet flowers. His lips [are] like lilies, [dripping] sweet smelling myrrh. His hands are [like] gold [rods] set with beryl. His [stomach] is [like] bright ivory overlaid with sapphires. His legs are [like] pillars of marble, [put] upon fine gold [bases.] [Revelation 2:18 And to the Angel of the church in Thyatira write; The Son of God, Who [has] His eyes [similar to] a flame of fire, & His feet are like fine brass, [says] these things.]

His [appearance] is [like] Lebanon, excellent [like] the cedars. His mouth is [very] sweet: [Yes,] he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, & this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

[John 15:12-14 This is My commandment, That you love one another, [like] I have loved you. Greater love [has] no man than this, that a Man lay down His life for His friends. [You] are My friends, if you do [whatever] I command you.]
