Every Wise Woman Builds Up Her House

Proverbs 14:1-35                                      Proverbs [in Smaller Chunks]

Every wise woman [builds] [up] her house: but the foolish [pull] it down with her hands. He, [who walks, a.k.a. follows,] in his [righteousness fears, a.k.a. respects,] the Lord: but he, [who] is [deceitful] in his ways, [despises the Lord.] [Romans 2:3-4 And you [think] this, O man, [who judges those who] do such things, & [you] [do] the same, [shall] you escape the judgment of God? Or [do] you [despise] the [richness] of His: goodness, [patence, & endurance, not knowing that the goodness of God [leads] you to repentance?]

In the mouth of the foolish is a rod [for] pride: but the lips of the wise shall [safeguard] them. [Proverbs 12:6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait, [a.k.a. to ambush,] for [bloodshed:] but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.]

The [feeding trough] is clean where no oxen are: but [when there are] [many oxen,] [they only eat] by the strength of the ox. A faithful witness won’t lie: but a false witness will utter lies. A [scoffer seeks] wisdom, & doesn’t find] it: but knowledge is easy to him, [who understands.]

Go [away] from the presence of a foolish man, when you [realize,] the lips of knowledge [aren't within] him. The wisdom of the [cautious] is to understand [the Lord God’s] way: but deceit is the folly, [a.k.a. the lack of good judgment], of fools.

Fools make a [mockery of] sin: but there is [favor] among the righteous. The heart [knows its] own bitterness; & a stranger [doesn’t interfere] with his joy. [Ephesians 4:31-32 Put away from you all: bitterness, wrath, [a.k.a. fury,] anger, [yelling,] & speaking [what is:] evil, with all malice, [a.k.a. desire to harm others. And you be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even [like] God for Christ's sake [has] forgiven you.]

The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the [tent] of the [righteous] shall flourish.

There is a path [that seems] right to a man: but the end [of it] are the [paths] [that lead] to death. [Proverbs 11:5 the righteousness of the perfect, [a.k.a. blameless,] shall direct his [path:] but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.]

Even in laughter, the heart is sorrowful; & the end of that [happiness] is [grief.]  The heart in the backslider, [a.k.a. who return to a previous undesirable condition,] shall be filled with his own [deceitful] ways; & a good man shall be satisfied [within] himself. [1 Corinthians 5:13 But God [judges those who] are without, [a.k.a. outside.] Therefore, put away that wicked person from among yourselves.]

The simple [minded] [believe] every word [someone tells them:] but the [cautious] man [looks] well [into] his [actions,] [& checks it out for himself.]

A wise man fears, [a.k.a. respects,] [the Lord,] & [departs] from evil: but the fool [rages] [on,] & is [over] confident. He, [who is quickly] angry [acts] foolishly; & a man [with] wicked [plans] is hated. [Psalm 34:14-17 Depart from evil, & do good. Seek peace, & pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, & His ears are open to their [out] cry. The face of the Lord is against [those, who] do [what is:] evil, to cut off the [memory] of them from the earth. The righteous cry [out,] & the Lord [hears,] & [delivers] them out of all their troubles.]

The simple [minded] inherit folly, [a.k.a. a lack of good judgment:] but the [cautious] are crowned with knowledge. The evil bow [down] [in front of] the good; & the wicked [bow] at the gates of the righteous. [2 Timothy 4:8 [From now on,] there is [set aside] for me a crown of righteousness, [that] the Lord, the Righteous Judge, shall give me [on] that day: & not only to me, but also to all [those who] love [Christ's] appearing.]

The poor [are] hated even [by] his own [neighbor:] but the rich [have] many friends. He, [who despises] his [neighbor sins:] but he, [who has] mercy on the poor, is happy.

Don’t [those who plan] [what is:] evil [go astray?] But mercy & truth shall be [for those who plan] [what is:] good.

There is profit in all [labor:] but [the idle chatter] of the lips [leads] only to [poverty.] [James 3:8 But no man can take the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.]

The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness, [a.k.a. ignorance,] of fools is folly, [a.k.a. a lack of good judgment.]

[An honest] witness [delivers] souls, [a.k.a. lives:] but a deceitful witness [speaks] lies. [Ezekiel 3:18 When I say to the wicked, You [shall] surely die; & you [don't give] him [a] warning, nor [speak] to warn the wicked from his evil [ways,] to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his [sinfulness,] but I will require his blood at your hand.]

Strong confidence is in the fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of the Lord, & his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of the Lord, is a Fountain of Life, to depart from the snares, [a.k.a. traps,] of death. [Revelation 22:16-17 I, Jesus, have sent [My] Angel to testify these things to you in the churches.

I Am the Root & the Offspring, [a.k.a. from the lineage,] of David, & the Bright & Morning Star. And the [Holy] Spirit & the bride say, Come. And let him, [who hears] say, Come. And let him, [who is thirsty,] come. And [whoever] [is] [willing,] let him take the Water of Life freely.]

The king’s honor, is in the multitude of people: but the destruction of the prince, is in the [lack] of people. He, [who] is slow to [anger,] is of great understanding: but he, [who] is [quick tempered, exalts, [a.k.a. magnifies,] folly, [a.k.a. a lack of good judgment.]

A sound heart is, [a.k.a. provides,] the life of the [body;] but envy [rots] the bones. [Proverbs 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband; but she [who makes] [him] ashamed, is [like rot] in his bones.]

He, [who oppresses] the poor, [disgraces] his Maker: but he [who honors the Lord, has] mercy on the poor. The wicked [are] driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous [have] [eternal] hope in his death.

[John 3:15-17 That [whoever believes] in Him, should not perish, but have Eternal Life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that [whoever believes] in Him, should not perish, but have Everlasting Life. For God [didn’t send] His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world might be saved through Him.]

Wisdom [rests] in the [heart] of him that [has] understanding: but [what] is in the midst of fools, is made known. [Proverbs 12:16 A fool's [anger] is known [now;] but a [cautious] man [covers, a.k.a. hides,] shame.]

Righteousness [exalts] a nation: but sin is a [disgrace] to any people. The king’s [favor] is toward a wise servant: but his [anger] is against him [who causes] shame. [Proverbs 11:11 By the blessing of the [righteous,] the city is exalted, [a.k.a. magnified;] but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.]
