Proverbs 2:1-22 Proverbs [in Smaller Chunks] |
My son, if you [will] receive my words, & hide my commandments [within] you, so that you [lean] your ear [toward] wisdom, & apply your heart to understanding. [Matthew 22:35-40 Then, one of them, [who] was a lawyer, asked Him a question, [testing] Him, & saying, Master, [a.k.a. Teacher,] which is the great commandment in the Law? Jesus said to him, You [shall] love the Lord your God with all your heart, & with all your soul, & with all your mind. This is the 1st & great commandment. And the 2nd is [similar] to it. You [shall] love your [neighbor] as yourself. All the Law, & the prophets hang, [a.k.a. depend,] on these 2 commandments.] |
[Yes,] if you [cry] [out] [for] knowledge, & [lift] up your voice for understanding, & if you [seek] [these] [like] silver, & [search] for [them] [like] you [search] for [hidden] treasures; |
Then, you [shall] understand the fear, [a.k.a. respect,] of the Lord, & find the knowledge of God. For the Lord [gives] wisdom, & out of His mouth [comes] knowledge, & understanding. [James 1:5-7 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask [for it] [from] God, [Who gives] [wisdom] to all men liberally, [a.k.a. generously,] & [doesn't scold,] & it shall be given [to] him. But let him ask in faith, [not] wavering. For he, [who wavers,] is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind, & tossed. For [don't] let that man think that he shall receive, [a.k.a. deserve,] anything [from] the Lord.] |
[The Lord God stores] up sound wisdom for the righteous. He is a [shield] to [those who] walk, [a.k.a. follow, righteously.] He [keeps] the paths of judgment, [a.k.a. justice,] & [safeguards] the [road] of His saints. [Revelation 15:3-4 And they [sang] the song of Moses, [God's] servant, & the song of the Lamb, saying, Great & marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty. Just & True are Your ways, You King of saints. Who shall not fear, [a.k.a. respect,] You, O Lord, & glorify Your Name? For Only You [are] Holy. For all nations shall come & worship before You, for Your judgments are made [visible.] |
Then, you [shall] understand righteousness, judgment, [a.k.a. justice,] & equity, [yes,] every good path. When wisdom [enters] into your heart, & knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion, [a.k.a. the ability to make responsible decisions,] shall preserve you, & understanding shall keep you: to deliver you from the [road] of the evil man, & from the man [who says wicked] things. [James 3:8-9 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. [With this,] we bless, even God the Father, & [with this,] we also curse men, [who] are made in the [image] of God.] |
[Those] who [go astray,] & leave the paths of [righteousness,] to walk in the ways of darkness; & [those] who rejoice [in doing] evil, & delight in the [sexual immorality] of the wicked, whose ways are crooked, & they [are arrogant] in their paths. [James 3:5-6 Even so, the tongue is a little member [of the body,] & [boasts of] great things. [See,] how [large] a [problem,] a little fire [kindles, a.k.a. ignites!] And the tongue is a fire, [that leads to a] world of [sinfulness.] The tongue [does] so among our [body's] members [so] it [defiles] the whole body, & [sets] the course of nature on fire. And it is set, [a.k.a. focused,] on [the fires] of hell.] |
[Wisdom & knowledge will help] to deliver you from the strange, [a.k.a. immoral,] woman, & even from the stranger, [a.k.a. foreigner, who flatters] with her words, & [who abandons] the [companion] of her youth, & [forgets] the covenant, [a.k.a. contract,] of her God. |
For her house [leans toward] death, & her paths to the dead. None [who] go to her, return again, & neither [do] they [grasp] the paths [that lead to Eternal] Life. [Proverbs 7:27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.] |
[So,] that you [may] walk in the [road] of good men, & keep the paths of the righteous. For the upright shall dwell in the land, & the perfect, [a.k.a. blameless,] shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, & the [sinners] shall be [uprooted from] it. |
[Revelation 22:12-15 And, [watch,] I come quickly, & My reward is with Me, & shall be to give to every man according to his work, [a.k.a. deeds.] I Am [the] Alpha and [the] Omega, the Beginning & the End, the First & the Last. Blessed are [those who] do His commandments, [so] that they may have right to the Tree of Life, & may enter in through the gates into the city. For [outside] are: dogs, sorcerers, & [sexual traffickers,] murderers, idolaters, & [whoever loves, & makes] [up] [lies.] |
And I heard, but [didn't understand.] Then, I said, O my Lord, What shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go [on] your way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the End. Daniel 12:8-9 KJV

About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:
Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV.
Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning.
For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.
The Table Format:
The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.
