The Lord Tells Jeremiah that He is to be His Spokesman

Jeremiah 1:1-19                               The Book of Jeremiah [in Smaller Chunks]

The words of Jeremiah, [Hilkiah's] son, [from] the priests, [who] were in Anathoth, in the land of Benjamin. To whom the Word of the Lord came [during] the days of Josiah, [Amon's] son, [Judah's] king, in the 13th year [he ruled.]

[The Word of the Lord] also came [to Jeremiah] [during] the days of Jehoiakim, [Josiah's] son, [Judah’s] king, [until] the end of the 11th year of Zedekiah, [Josiah's] [other] son [who later ruled as] [Judah's] king, [until] the [captivity] of [those] [from] Jerusalem [who were] [carried] away captive in the 5th month.

Then, the Word of the Lord came to me, saying, I knew you, before I formed you in the [stomach.] And I sanctified you, before you [were delivered] out of the womb. And I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

[Galatians 1:15-16 But when it pleased God, Who separated me from the womb, & called me by His grace, to reveal His Son, [through] me, [so] that I might preach [about] Him among the heathen. Immediately, I [realized that I] [didn’t consult] with [what is] flesh & blood.]

Then, I said, Ah, Lord God! [Look,] I can't speak: for I am [just] a child, [a.k.a. youth.] But the Lord said to me, [Don't] say, I am a child. For you [shall] go to all, [whom] I shall send you. And you [shall] speak, [whatever] I command you. [Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came, & [spoke] to them, [a.k.a. remaining disciples,] saying, All power is given to Me in heaven, & [on] the earth. Therefore, you go, & teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, & of the Son, & of the Holy Ghost, [a.k.a. Holy Spirit.] Teaching them to observe, [a.k.a. obey,] all [of] [whatever] things I have commanded you. And, [look,] I Am with you [always,] even unto the end of the world. Amen. ]

Don't] be afraid of their faces: for I Am with you to deliver you, [says] the Lord. [Ezekiel 2:6-7 And you, Son of man, [don't] be afraid of them, & neither be afraid of their words, [even] though [sticker bushes,] & thorns [are] with you, & you dwell among the scorpions. [Don't] be afraid of their words, nor be [discouraged by] their looks, [although] they [are] a rebellious house. And you [shall] speak My Words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will [refuse,] for they are [very] rebellious.]

Then, the Lord put [out] His hand, & touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, [Look,] I have put My Words in your mouth. [Exodus 4:10-12 And Moses said to the Lord, O my Lord, I'm not eloquent, neither [up until now,] nor since You [have] spoken to [me,] Your servant. But I am slow of: speech, & tongue. And the Lord said to [Moses,] Who [has] made man's mouth? Or Who [makes:] the dumb, [a.k.a. mute,] or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Haven't I, the Lord? Therefore, go now, & I will be with your mouth, & teach you what you [shall] say.]

See, this day I have [put] you over the: nations, & kingdoms, to [weed] out, to pull down, to destroy, & to throw down, to [rebuild,] & to plant.

[Additionally,] the Word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, What [do] you [see?] And I said, I see a rod, [a.k.a. branch] of an almond tree. Then, the Lord said to me, Thou [have] seen well: for I will [rush] My Word to [accomplish] it.

And the Word of the Lord came to me the 2nd time, saying, What [do] you [see?] And I said, I see a [boiling] pot, & [it's facing] toward the North. Then, the Lord said to me, Out of the North, [a calamity] shall break [out] upon all the inhabitants of the land.

For, the Lord [said, Look,] I will call all the families of the [Northern] kingdoms, & they shall come, & everyone [of them,] shall [put] his throne at the [gate entrance] of Jerusalem, & [all around it,] & against all [its] walls, & against all [Judah's] cities. [Proverbs 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he [sits] among the elders of the land.]

And I will [express] My judgments against them [about] all their wickedness. [And against those:] who have [abandoned] Me, & have burned incense to other gods, & worshiped the works [made] of their own hands. [Isaiah 2:8 Also their land is full of idols. They worship the work [from] their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.]

Therefore, you [belt] up your [waist,] & arise. And speak to them all that I command you. [Don't] be [discouraged] at their faces, lest I [confuse] you [in front of] them.

For, [look,] I have made you this day, [like:] a [fortified] city, an iron pillar, & [brass] walls, against the whole land, & against: [Judah's] kings, [its] princes, [its] priests, & [its] people of the land. And they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you; for I Am with you, to deliver you, [says] the Lord.

[Jeremiah 15:20-21 And I will make you to this people [like] a fenced [brass] wall, & they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you. For I Am with you to save you, & to deliver you, [says] the Lord. And I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked & I will Redeem you out of the hand of the terrible, [a.k.a. ruthless.]
