The Good & the Opposite |
Proverbs 11:1-31 Proverbs [in Smaller Chunks] |
A false balance, [a.k.a. scale,] is [an] abomination to the Lord: but a [correct] weight is His delight. [Proverbs 16:11 A just, [a.k.a. honest,] weight & balance, are the Lord's; & all the weight of the bag are His work.] |
When pride [comes,] then shame [comes:] but with the lowly, [a.k.a. humble,] is wisdom. [Proverbs 16:18-19 Pride [goes] before destruction, and [a] haughty, [a.k.a. arrogant,] spirit [goes] a fall. It is better to be of [a] humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the [plunder] with the proud.] |
The integrity of the upright, [a.k.a. honest,] shall guide them: but the [deceit] of [the unfaithful] shall destroy them. Riches [are of] [no benefit on] the day of [fury:] but righteousness [delivers] from death. |
[Revelation 22:11-15 He [who] is unjust, let him be unjust still, & he [who] is filthy, let him be filthy still. And he [who] is righteous, let him be righteous still, & he [who] is holy, let him be holy still. |
*And [watch,] I come quickly; & My reward is with Me, & shall be to give [to] every man according to his work, [a.k.a. deeds.] I Am [the] Alpha & [the] Omega, the Beginning & the End, the First & the Last. Blessed are [those who] do His commandments, [so] that they may have right to the Tree of Life, & may enter in through the gates into the city. For [outside] are: dogs; sorcerers; [sexual traffickers;] murderers; idolaters; & [whoever loves] & [makes] [up] [lies.] |
The righteousness of the perfect, [a.k.a. blameless,] shall direct his [path:] but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but the [unfaithful] shall be [caught] in their own [sins.] |
When a wicked man [dies,] his [hope] shall perish, & the hope of [the] unjust men [perishes.] The righteous [are] delivered out of trouble, & the wicked [come] in his [place.] |
[A] hypocrite [destroys] his neighbor with his [words from his] mouth: but through knowledge, the just, [a.k.a. righteous,] shall be delivered. [Mark 7:6-7 [Jesus] answered & said to them, [Isaiah has] prophesied well of you hypocrites. |
[Like] it is written [in the Scriptures,] The people [honor] Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. [However,] they worship Me in vain, teaching the commandments of men, for doctrines.] |
The city [rejoices] when it goes well [for] the righteous, & there is shouting when the wicked perish. [Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.] |
The city is exalted by the blessing of the upright, [a.k.a. righteous;] but [the city] is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. [Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness [exalts, a.k.a. elevates,] a nation; but sin is a [disgrace] to any people.] |
He, [who is without] wisdom [despises] his [neighbor:] but a man [with] understanding [holds] his peace. A [gossip reveals] secrets: but he, [who has] a faithful spirit [conceals] the matter. |
The people fall where [there] is no [advice:] but there is safety [with] a multitude of [counselors.] He who is surety, [a.k.a. guarantees a deal,] for a stranger, shall [regret] it, & he, who [hates] suretyship, [a.k.a. being a guarantor,] is [secure.] |
A gracious woman [retains honor: but ruthless] men retain riches. The merciful man [does] good to his own soul: but he, [who] is cruel, [troubles] his own flesh, [a.k.a. body.] The wicked [do] deceitful work: but a sure reward [is for] him, [who] [sows, a.k.a. plants,] righteousness. [Galatians 6:8-9 For he, [who sows] to his [worldly] flesh, shall reap, [a.k.a. harvest,] corruption [from] the flesh; but he, [who sows] to the [Holy] Spirit, shall reap Everlasting Life [from] the [Holy] Spirit. And [don't] let us [grow tired] in doing [good.] For we shall reap, [a.k.a. harvest,] in due [time,] if we [don't give up.] |
[Like] righteousness [leads] to [Eternal] Life: so he, [who pursues] evil, [pursues] it to his own death. [Those with] a [deceitful] heart are [an] abomination to the Lord: but [those who] are upright in their [path,] are [the Lord’s] delight. |
[Even] though hands] join [together in an evil plot,] the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed, [a.k.a. descendants,] of the righteous shall be delivered. [Like] a gold jewel in a [pig’s] snout [is foolish,] so is a [pretty] woman, [who isn’t discreet.] |
The desire of the righteous is only [for] good: but the [hopes] of the wicked [lead to] wrath. [Ezekiel 21:31 And I will pour out [My] indignation, [a.k.a. anger aroused by injustice,] upon you, & I will blow against you in the fire, [a.k.a. heat,] of My wrath, & deliver you into the hand of [savage,] & skillful men, to destroy.] |
There [are] [those] [who [scatter, a.k.a. distribute,] [their money to those who need it] & yet [it] [increases;] & there [are] [those] [who] withhold more [money] than is [right,] but it [leads] to poverty. |
[Those who give] [liberally, a.k.a. generously,] shall be made [rich.] And he, [who waters,] shall also be watered, himself. He, [who withholds] corn, ] the people shall curse him: but [blessings] shall be upon the head of him, [who] sells [his corn.] |
He, [who] diligently [seeks] good, [receives favor:] but he, [who seeks] mischief, [a.k.a. harm through mischievous plots, these] shall come [upon] him. [Psalm 7:15-16 He [who] made a pit, & [dug] it, & [has] fallen into the ditch, which he made. His mischief shall return upon his own head, & his violent [behaviors] shall come down upon his own [head.] |
He, [who trusts] in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish [like] a branch. [Jeremiah 17:10 I, the Lord, search the heart, & I [test] the [heart strings,] & even give to everyone according to the fruit of his [actions.] |
He, [who troubles] his own house, shall inherit the wind, & the fool shall be [the] servant to [those with] wise [hearts.] The fruit, [a.k.a. reward,] of the righteous is [the] Tree of Life, & he [who converts] souls is wise. [Look,] the righteous shall be [rewarded on] the earth: much more [than] the wicked & the sinner. |
[Daniel 12:2-3 And many of [those who] sleep in the [dirt] of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life & some to shame & everlasting contempt. And [those who are] wise, shall shine [like] the brightness of [heaven,] & [those who convert] many to righteousness, [shall shine] [like] the stars forever & ever.] |
And I heard, but [didn't understand.] Then, I said, O my Lord, What shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go [on] your way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the End. Daniel 12:8-9 KJV
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:
Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV.
Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning.
For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.
The Table Format:
The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.
