Those Who Sleep More Than Working |
Proverbs 6:1-35 Proverbs [in Smaller Chunks] |
My son, if you [are the] [guarantor, [a.k.a. person who guarantees the deal,] for your friend, & if you [have shaken] your hand with a stranger, you [are trapped by] the words of your mouth, & you [are] taken [by these] words. [Proverbs 22:26-27 [Don't] be one of [those who shake] hands, or [those who] are [collateral] for debts. If you [have] nothing [with which] to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?] |
My son, do this now, & deliver yourself, when [it] [comes] to you [shaking] the hand of your friend; go, humble yourself, & [plead with] your friend. [Matthew 5:23-24 Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, & [remember] there that your brother [has something] against you. Leave your gift there [in front of] the altar, & 1st be reconciled to your brother, & then, come & offer your gift, & go [on] your way.] |
[Do it right away & don’t] give sleep nor slumber to: your eyes or eyelids. Deliver yourself [like a deer] from the hand of the hunter, & [like] a bird from the hand of the fowler, [a.k.a. bird catcher.] |
You, [lazy person,] go to an ant, & consider her ways, & be wise. [The ant that has] no [leader, supervisor,] or ruler, [prepares] her [food] in the summer, & gathers her food in the harvest. |
How long will you sleep, O [lazy person?] When [will] you arise out of your sleep? [Still,] you want] a little [more] sleep, a little slumber, & a little [more] folding of hands to sleep. [Proverbs 19:15 [Laziness casts] [people] into a deep sleep; & an idle soul shall suffer hunger.] |
So, your poverty shall come [like] a [prowler] [sneaks up on you,] & [takes what] you need like] an armed man. A [worthless] person, & a wicked man, [walk, [a.k.a. follow,] with a [deceitful] mouth. [Proverbs 4:24 Put away from you a [deceitful] mouth, & put far from you perverse lips.] |
He [winks] with his [eye,] he [speaks] with his feet [by where he goes,] & he [teaches] [what he does] with his fingers [of his hands.] [Stubbornness] is [within] his heart, & he [devises evil plots] continually, & he sows discord. Therefore, his calamity shall come suddenly. He shall be broken suddenly, without remedy. |
The Lord [hates] these 6 things. [Yes,] 7 are [abominations] to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, [a.k.a. mouth,] & hands that shed [the] blood [of the] innocent. [Genesis 9:6 [Whoever sheds a] man's blood, his blood shall be shed by man. For God made man in [His] image.] |
[Also, a] heart that [devises] wicked [plots,] & feet that [quickly] run [to cause harm.] [Matthew 26:14-16 Then 1 of the 12, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests, & said to them, What will you give me, & I will deliver Him to you? And they [contracted] with him for 30 pieces of silver. And from that time, he sought an opportunity to betray [Jesus.] |
A false witness, [who speaks] lies, & he, [who sows] discord among brethren. [Mark 14:55-59 And the chief priests & all the council sought for witnesses against Jesus, to put Him to death, & found none. For many bare false witness against Him, but their [testimony didn’t agree] together. *And there arose certain, [who] bare false witness against Him, saying, We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, & within 3 days I will build another made without hands. But neither did their [testimony] agree together.] |
My son, keep your father’s [commandments, & don’t abandon] the Law of your mother. Bind them continually [within] your heart, & tie them [around] your neck. It shall lead you, when you [go.] When you [sleep,] it shall keep you. It shall [speak] to you, when you [wake up.] |
For the commandment is [a] lamp, & the Law is [a] light. And [instruction’s criticism is] the [path that leads to Eternal] Life. [Psalm 119:105 Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, & a light unto my path.] |
To keep you from the evil woman, from the flattery [of] the [mouth] of a strange, [a.k.a. foreign,] woman. [Don’t] lust after her beauty in your heart. Neither let her eyelids [entrap] you. |
For by [the plan] of [an unfaithful harlot,] a man is brought to [only having] a piece of bread. And the adulteress will hunt for the life [of] the precious. Can a man [hold] fire [to his chest,] & his clothes not be burned? Can [someone] [walk] upon hot coals, & his feet not [get] burned? |
[It is the same for] [he, who is intimate with] his neighbor’s wife. [Whoever touches] her shall not be innocent. |
Men, don’t despise a thief, if he [steals] to satisfy his [body] when he’s [starving.] But if he [is caught,] he shall restore [what he took] 7 [times more.] He shall give all the [possessions] of his house. |
But [whoever commits] adultery with a woman [lacks] understanding. He, [who does] it [destroys] his own soul. He shall get a wound, & dishonor, & his [disgrace] shall not be wiped away. |
For jealousy is [what causes] the rage of man. Therefore, [God] won’t spare [him on] the day of vengeance. [Proverbs 27:4 [Fury] is cruel, & anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?] |
[God] will not regard any ransom, [given to rescue him.] Neither will [God] rest content, [eventhough] you [give] [Him] many gifts. [Psalm 49:7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give a ransom to God for him. (For the redemption of their soul is precious, & it [ceases] forever.)] |
And I heard, but [didn't understand.] Then, I said, O my Lord, What shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go [on] your way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the End. Daniel 12:8-9 KJV
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:
Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV.
Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning.
For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.
The Table Format:
The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.
