The Influence of an Immoral Woman |
Proverbs 5:1-23 Proverbs [in Smaller Chunks] |
My son, [pay attention] to my wisdom, & [lean] your ear to [hear] my understanding. [So,] that you [may consider] discretion, [a.k.a. making responsible choices,] & that your lips may keep knowledge. [Malachi 2:7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, & they, [a.k.a. Israelites,] should seek knowledge at his mouth. For he is the messenger of the Lord of Hosts.] |
For the lips of strange, [a.k.a. an immoral,] woman [drips like a] honeycomb, & her mouth is smoother than oil. But [in the] end, [she] is bitter [like] wormwood, & sharp [like] a 2 edged sword. Her feet [lead] down to death, & her steps [have] [taken] hold [of] hell. [Proverbs 7:27 Her house is the [path] to hell, going down to the chambers of death.] |
Lest you [should] ponder the path of [her life,] her ways are [unstable, so] that you [can't] know them. Therefore, O you children, hear me now, & [don’t] depart from the words of my mouth. |
Remove your [path] far from her, & [don’t] come [near] the door of her house, lest you give your [honor] to others, & your years to the cruel [one.] Lest strangers, [a.k.a. foreigners, are] filled with your wealth, & the [reward of] your [work is] in the house of a stranger, & you mourn at the [end,] when your flesh, & your body are consumed. |
[Judges 10:11-14 And the Lord said to the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Israel, [Didn't I deliver you from the: Egyptians, Amorites, the children, [a.k.a. people,] of Ammon, & from the Philistines? Also: the Zidonians, [a.k.a. Sidonians,] Amalekites, & the Maonites, [who] [oppressed] you. And you cried [out] to Me, & I delivered you out of their hand. [Still,] you have [abandoned] Me, & served other gods. [For this reason,] I will no [longer] deliver you. Go, & cry [out] to the gods, [that] you have chosen. Let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.] |
And [you] say, How I have hated instruction, & my heart despised [correction,] & [I] haven’t obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor [leaned my] ear to [hear] [those who] instructed me! [Revelation 3:19 I [reprimand & chastise] as many as I love. Therefore, be zealous & repent.] |
I was almost [on the verge of total ruin,] in the midst of the congregation, & assembly. [Be faithful,] & drink [water] [only] out of your own cistern, [a.k.a. water pit,] & running [water] from your own well. |
[Don’t] let your [bodily] fountains be dispersed [around,] [like] [streams] of [water] in the streets. Let them be only [with] your own [wife,] & not [foreigner’s] [wives] with you. Let your [bodily] fountain be blessed; & rejoice with the wife of your youth. [Deuteronomy 24:5 When a man [has] taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, & neither shall he be charged, [a.k.a. be responsible for,] any business, but he shall be free at home 1 year, & shall cheer up his wife [whom] he [has] taken [in marriage.] |
Let her be [like] the loving [deer,] & pleasant [gazelle.] Let her breasts satisfy you at all times, & you always be ravished with her love. My son, why [will] you be ravished with a strange woman, & embrace the [breasts of a foreigner?] [Proverbs 2:15-16 Whose ways are crooked, & are froward, [a.k.a. obstinate,] in their paths, to deliver you from the strange, [a.k.a. immoral,] woman, & even from the stranger [who flatters,] with her words.] |
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, & He [ponders] all [places a man] [goes.] [Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, [watching] the evil & the good.] |
His own [sinfulness] shall take, [a.k.a. capture,] the wicked, himself, & he shall be [held] with the [ropes for] his sins. [Isaiah 3:10-11 You, say to the righteous, that it shall [go] well with him: for they shall eat the fruit [produced by] their [actions.] Woe to the wicked! It shall [go poorly for] him. For the reward of his hands shall be given [to] him.] |
He shall die without instruction, & he shall go astray, [because] [large] [is:] his folly, [a.k.a. lack of good judgment.] [Isaiah 53:6-7 *All we like sheep have gone astray. We have, everyone turned to his own [ways.] And the Lord [has] laid the [sin] of us all on Him. *He was oppressed, & He was afflicted, [still] He [didn't open] His mouth. He is brought [like] a lamb to the slaughter, & [like] a sheep is [mute] before [its] shearers, so He [didn't open] His mouth.] |
And I heard, but [didn't understand.] Then, I said, O my Lord, What shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go [on] your way, Daniel: for the Words are closed up and sealed till the time of the End. Daniel 12:8-9 KJV
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible::
About the Author of the Blogsite, Not the Author of the Bible: Since the Lord had it on my heart to write this blog, I was uncertain of how to accomplish this, mindful of Revelation 22:18-19, which says that nobody is to add to, or to take away from what was written in the Bible. After lots of prayerful contemplation, the Lord had it on my heart that I’m not to change the meaning of what is written in the Bible. He has also shown ways to add to people’s understating of that meaning, without altering the meaning, by putting that info within [brackets]. This is primarily accomplished with the KJV Bible and lots of prayers, but at times, BibleGateway.com, Biblehub.com, NIV Bible, Webster Dictionary, and other internet resources, as needed. About Understanding the Bible:
Understanding the Bible: After reading Isaiah 28:10 many times over the years and not totally understanding it, it recently became apparent to me that the Lord God has this passage as the means for understanding the Bible.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. Isaiah 28:10 KJV.
Being prayerful about this passage, and looking up 'precept' in the Webster's Dictionary, it gave this passage a whole new meaning, once 'commandment' is substituted for 'precept'. Within brackets are additional words the Lord had on my heart to aid in understanding the meaning.
For commandment must be [built up] upon commandment; commandment upon commandment; line upon line, line upon line; [developing understanding] here a little, and there a little.
The Table Format:
The Table Format: I was overwhelmed with how to explain the process for determining if someone had leprosy in Leviticus 13, which seemed very complicated. After praying, "Lord, if this is difficult for me to understand after reading it many times, how can this be explained to others?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was for me to put it into a vertical chart to visually see the process. This made it much easier for me to follow the progression. After doing so, I prayed, "Lord, how can this be conveyed to readers, so that they can understand this process?" The thought the Lord God had on my heart was to put it within the lines of a table. Being a stiff-necked, stubborn person, as it's often called in the Bible, I prayed, asking the Lord God if He's sure that's really what He wanted me to do? I reluctantly put Leviticus 13 into a table format. When I read this difficult leprosy process within a table format, it suddenly became easier for me to understand. That's because it builds line upon line, as explained in the Understanding the Bible section. Shortly after that, the Lord God had it on my heart, to put all of The Books of the Bible in Smaller Chunks within a table format, to aid in understanding, line upon line.
